Owwww, I love this house and the colours! 😍 can see why you fell in love with it! There’s an awful lot of work on all the houses you’ve shown us so far. It doesn’t have to be ‘perfect’ in the end does it 😉 but you both have to feel it and love it just as much, otherwise it’s not to be. Looking forward to the barns!
Ah, does it mean I'm elderly too if all I see is work like Rogier? It's an interesting house and must have been built for a very large family. The locks on the doors probably made sense to an elderly lady living alone. My mother-in-law used to stack tin cans on a chair in front of her back door so she would wake up if someone came in. ;)
Well in that case I would be very elderly too I guess because I obviously also see all work, especially also because you guys have not seen the outbuildings yet but I have and those are in a really rough shape! Much worse than the main-house. The elderly woman that lived there had some mental issues and because of that she was very paranoid. It's a bit if a familie thing I guess because her son lives in a mental institution now. It's sad. Just using cans would have been a lot easier;)
This house is beautiful, even as it is now but could be amazing with work, such a shame that your husband doesn't feel the same but I do understand that he might not want to spend the next 10 or 20 years renovating and it is very large.
Hi! Yes I understand him too, and it's not just the house but also the outbuildings because those are in a really, really bad shape so everything needs so much work.
Hi Laura, I actually don't know.. I did not pay attention to that. I will see if I can see that somewhere in the footage (how the doors close I mean) could definitely be to keep drafts out.
Lovely, but way too much work! The cost will be high too. Question, do you need all this space? Take your time, to find the right house! You both must love it. Not just you. Being “ seasick” in your house, one maybe get used to it, until it starts to irritate. So be wise! Do not force it!
Hi, don't worry, we are definitely not buying a house unless we are both in love. And just to answer your question.. yes having a lot of space is a must for us for all kinds of reasons.
I really enjoy your house hunt in Sweden. There is so much charm in those old houses. Looking forward to part 2 of this house.
I'm so happy to hear you like it! We over here just want it to be over haha... We just want to find a house and move!

Yes and the pink colors actually made me think of you!
I would buy it, I love it.
Me too!
This house is so lovely. I think it is the best so far 👍🏻
Hi Gitte, yes I love it too! Also because it's so big and old and bright.

I wish you luck and agree with hubby ,, way too much work !
Thank you and yes it is a lot!
The high thresholds - do the doors close against them or on top? I wonder if it was designed to prevent drafts from going under the doors.
