Thanks for sharing your experience! 👍🏾
I used that very same smf LUK clutch kit in my 325 it's still not worn in yet but doesn't have any chatter that people keep saying smf make and holds really well 👌🏻 bit heavy though don't think the revs go down any faster than the factory dmf
planning on doing the same thing exhaust wise. Headers + M3 cats down the line. Did it work to extend the O² sensors' wires down the line?
Hi, it sounds like a silly question but can you tell me are you tighten the center bolt of the oil pump nut to the right or to the left like the original oil pump was treaded? thank you.
Dude, did you install back all of the 4 o2 sensors with the new headers? If not, what did you do with CEL?
I have a 335xi 2011 n55 I was driving it home and while driving the bottom of my oil pan Shatters, when I look at the oil pan I saw a gear I think it’s from the oil pump so i wondering what can that do to my engine
@throttlehouse what website can I order a Parkin Racing oil pump for my e46 330ci?
Do you have the link for where to buy this oil pump and set of headers?
i really wish i was mechanically inclined to do stuff like this , all i can do is an oil change and replace tires
Hi Throllehouse: Where can I order the Parkin Oil Pump for my BMW 318i, E46, N42 engine.
Does this issue affects M52tu engine or no?
Will blocking off the secondary air pump through a code also? I'm curious what benefits can be gained. If anything I might wanna do mine..
do you need to prime the new oil pump
C Desousa it might, but can be programmed out so the ECU won’t look for it.
Could you post the part number of the chain tensioner
Miguel Lara its Febi 33637
Thomas Parkin could you post or send me the directions of where to drill to make this tensioner work. I'm in the same process as you.
Thanks
Miguel Lara send a message to my Facebook page, 'parkin racing developments" cheers!
Where can we purchase this? They don't sell it anymore
try this, seems legit garage: www.seemslegitgarage.com/product-page/upgraded-oil-pump-tensioner-kit
they sell both the oil pump ($375) and the tensioner ($60), both is $400 (you get a discount for grabbing both).
I contacted them and they suggested, for non-track use, that the tensioner install involves taking apart engine (vs simply removing the oil pan) and is probably not crucial, just the oil pump will suffice
Hope this helps
Is this compatible to a 2004 BMW e60
It should be if it´s a 530i
Do this with one of your fancy new cars
Do you think the headers make a difference?
The OEM setup for the m54 has pre-cats in the part of the exhaust the headers replace. A more free-flowing exhaust and a map WILL make a difference.
These headers might have tuned lengths to help with scavenging as well, which theoretically also makes a difference.
it's good for about 20hp.
1 month to go!!! #OTA
How's that working out for you?
Btw, the Internet of Things is not your friend. Think Skynet.

Hi throttle house crew I'm a small UA-cam channel and I am putting on a car/UA-camr meet up/ car show on Sat June 9th And I will be making a call out video for it. If you would be interested let me know it will be held in Michigan
Everyone is welcome to come all project cars/trucks and even bikes. The people that show up the better
I will be posting a video Saturday about exact time and place.
you little criminal.. don't ever use febi parts aspecially for timing parts. thank god you did not.
Ehh I've heard so many mixed things. Febi is made by Bilstein which is a reputable company. And I havnt personally had an issue. Also that's not a "timing" Part. It's just a tensioner. If it failed it wouldn't mean catastrophic failure. (Unless it got caught up in something)
The tensioner isnt used for anything associated with timing, is purely there to apply tension against the oil pump chain.
I know some people are put off by febi, but failure can occur with anything. If you actually counted the amount of failures compared to the 100,000's of cars out there with febi parts, you probably looking at a 5% failure rate.
The tensioner my pump kits use haven't had any failures yet, and I honestly don't anticipate one to fail.
If it does, it must be a manufacturing defect of the tensioner.
As Thomas said is the video, this tensioner is the most crucial part of the fix.
Hope this helps! :)
