- For this video I am going to be unboxing my latest 4K Blu-ray collectors edition for American Sniper. I will also briefly be sharing my thoughts on its 4K transfer and showing comparisons against the previous Blu-ray.

Had this for father's day, watched it last night. Picture is absolutely stunning. It's a brilliant set all around. Had mine in a hard Warner box. Not had that before. Normally they arrive from amazon in a crappy box.
Great to hear that you picked it up yourself and I honestly can't praise the edition enough. Yeah I forgot to mention it in the video that you do get it in this Warner Brothers box. That is definitely a first for me and I really hope to continue to do that in the future. It would definitely put your mind at ease when it comes to your edition
@millerman9991 I do hope they continue that with the box, it's a nice touch. I'm waiting on WB to do three kings, cracking film that.
@geraintthompson5200 I have not seen three kings since it came out on DVD believe it or not. I remember really enjoying it. Definitely due a revisit
@millerman9991 I remember having the blu ray with that click case. Defo time to upgrade it, perfect storm too.
I think it's criminal that we haven't seen a 4K release for Perfect Storm. I can only imagine what the enhancement on the audio would do for a movie like that
This is beautifully presented! The clear slip is like looking through a window at the cover.
The only Bradley Cooper films I've seen are the first two Guardians of the Galaxy movies! But he does voice my favourite character.
Clint Eastwood is a living legend. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is a masterpiece.
I'm a big Bradley Cooper fan. I've seen quite a few of his movies and this is one of his best. Definitely worth checking out

Are you serious Christian. That is fantastic. I'm amazed you found one because they are quite rare. It's a stunning Edition and I wouldn't mind getting the other one that looks similar to this. Tell you the truth I think there might be three of them all together
@@millerman9991 I did! There's website called Orbit DVD here in the states. I think I mentioned it to you at one point in time. Correct me if I'm wrong lol. But you can get it there! But yes, it is stunning!

Always like white themed sets and wow I love the sniper scope aesthetic, that kind of creativity can make a set so much better. It's funny recently on a call with my mum she asked me had I seen a film called American sniper and asked me who was the main actor, it was on telly and I couldn't believe she asked. If I recall I think she described the film first and didn't see its name, just watched it.
Hey Steve. I'm not sure if you are interested or not but Amazon Italy are actually selling this exact same edition for 30 euro. I've actually left this one back to Amazon UK and ordered one from Italy. I was saving 20 euro almost. So the option is there for you if you are interested my friend

I always wondered that myself when it comes to the Returns. The weird thing about Amazon Italy is they're selling the collectors edition for the same price as the Steelbook edition. Baffling

Yeah I have to admit Chris I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I never thought American sniper would ever get that kind of treatment. It's a welcome edition to my collection

Hi Keith good unboxing i picked this up as well its a really nice set mine also came in a really nice warner bros box that was a nice surprise you mentioned the other releases this year i have pre ordered all three im a big Nolan fan so cant wait for these releases .
I forgot the mention the Warner Brothers box that it came in. Mine was the exact same. It was actually a pleasant surprise. The three other Editions that I mentioned I think it's the first time I have ever pre-ordered anything where I don't know what they look like. Couldn't say no to any of them

Well John I might be able to help you a little bit more because Amazon Italy are selling it at the moment and believe it or not it's only 25 pounds on there website. If you're interested get on over and grab yourself one before they realized the mistake they've made

I just picked up the steelbook which I think looks great. Not a big fan of these collector's editions that just include additional stuff that adds to the bulk and cost, and which I'd never look at personally.
I completely understand that. I am the complete opposite. I love everything when it comes to collectors editions. I found the presentation through this entire edition to be absolutely beautiful. Great to get such a release for American sniper

Thanks Keith, I’m holding off as I just ordered “ Stop Making Sense” from A24 studios. Extremely expensive but one of if not best concert films ever. Scratched my Criterion order of Pat Garrett also to finance my purchase 😂😣😂. PS Have you been able to view/ listen to Dune part 2 yet???? Absolutely incredible and up there with the best science fiction films made yet. Sorry if I’m off the content subject but had to share the excitement 🇺🇸✌️🇮🇪
Honestly Michael do not apologize my friend. No I still haven't gotten around to watching Dune part 2 as of yet. It's not released over here for another couple of weeks but I honestly cannot wait to sit down and watch it. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it. The only thing that frustrates me with the 4K release is the lack of any IMAX scenes. Such a missed opportunity
@@millerman9991 Yeah, there’s talk of them all being released in imax when he finishes the 3rd installment, but from the opening you won’t care about the imax it’s that good. Can’t wait for your review on that one my friend. Get ready to have your remote close by as the Atmos is astounding

I havent watched this film because Im a big Jessie Ventura fan and didnt like the falsified story of the guy, that this movie is based on, supposedly punching Ventura at a Navy Seal reunion. Ended up that it wasn't true and the guy created/concocted it out of the blue for whatever reason- probably to sell more tickets. Anyway, sure the film is entertaining, but not for me. What is entertaining for me is GOKE, Bodysnatcher From Hell (1968), Breaking Bad complete blu ray, The Shooter (Jack Nicholson), and Wild Palms (supposed cyberpunk mini series) that Im waiting for. To be honest Chris I don't know the in-n-outs when it comes to the story itself. I'm just here as a simple viewer and what I've seen is a highly enjoyable movie. I honestly never heard of any of the movies you mentioned. Well correction Breaking Bad. But unfortunately never got around to watching it. I had the Vinegar syndrome edition of Roadhouse so I didn't see the point of buying the via vision one. It looks great though
This was a very good film, Keith, and this is a very nice addition. Warner have done a cracking job on this one. The sniper scope on the back is genius. The faded American flag on the steel book looks really nice as well. This is a very solid film from Clint Eastwood, I'm looking forward to Juror No. 2, his final movie. North by Northwest will be a good one.
I would love to know what Clint Eastwood's secret is. To be still directed movies at his age is a testament to the man. It's going to be great to check out his final movie. Such a shame it's his last. Yeah North by northwest is such a huge deal for me and I cannot wait to get that in my hands. Thank you as always Gary for taking the time to stop by. Just ordered Halloween two and Halloween 3 via vision look really good nice art card just to let you know the TV version on it as an upscale of 1080p. It’s not 100% brilliant but it’s still a little bit better. It’s worth getting my friend just for that reason.
A friend of mine from Australia has ordered me the two of them and sent them my way. I hope to have them in the next couple of days. I'm not too concerned about the Blu-ray TV version because I'm not a fan of it if I'm completely honest
