Ah the drives made right when Maxtor acquired Quantum. I had a bunch of these drives , some in Apple Powermac G3 blue and white towers. 80GB drives. Fast and quiet. Loaded Mac OS 9 very quickly. Mine had the fluid bearings though. One i found in a PC in the dumpster, a 20GB model. Which i used for another PC i had lying around. It was raining when i found it, so i set the drive on the heat vent and let it dry out and then hooked it up and it was detected and it worked great! Although a friend got ahold of a 60GB model that was bad and it was kicking the heads around alot during use and making lots of noise, when the heads park on these you know it the klunk noise is very loud and pronounced. I would think these were probably the nicer newer versions of the Quantum Plus line of drives, which better motors (fluid bearings) and an ATA 133 interface.
