You could take any one of those players off the team, anf they would be a really good team. The players aren't there because the teams needs them. They are there to be groomed for the NBA. I suspect when they get into the NBA, some of the contract money makes it back to the school.

Quite honestly, the only thing world class about him is his size. He's basically a prototypical giant stiff. He works hard, so that helps, but his athletic limitations are glaringly obvious, even at the high school level. He'll need the right college program and a TON of work to be serviceable even at the college level and afterwards, MAYBE he'll drift around the lower leagues of Europe for a few years.
Even though they were running the team out of the building they didn’t show bout they didn’t talk smack or dance or whatever that’s what happens when you have a good coach and parents. These kids have a lot of respect for that being as good as they are and in todays age aren’t showing off and giving 100 percent down to the last second is great to see now.
I mentioned this before but, it worth repeating. The kid is well proportion unlike many really big guys. He runs normal for a 7'7' kid, his head is proportioned for his size (actually he is a handsome kid). With the right teaching and growing into his body - this kid is going to be a problem for the NBA and I mean a good problem.

With a really tall guy the first thing I look for is the lower body. Is he knock-kneed, pigeon legged, like 4 foot wide hips. This guy has none of those liabilities that so often plague huge tall guys. That said I give him a 0% chance of making the NBA.
He's a good passer for a man that tall. By sheer size he can defend the lane and rebound. He does not impress as particularly quick or athletic. He reminds me of Manute Bol or Shawn Bradley some but he is not a unicorn like NBA rookies Wembanyama and Holmgren. It's just one game, of course, so impressions can be way off.

Yes, I know several crazy-tall people, four men and one woman. Basketball aside, it's more of a handicap in most of life's endeavors. Clothes are very expensive, medically-speaking they tend to age more quickly than most others, they can't join the armed forces, and air travel is miserable unless they fork over for a first-class ticket. Yes, they can change a light bulb in the ceiling more easily than the rest of us, but overall I don't envy them.
9:08 sure looks like a travel. Rioux is great when he can just stand under the basket and tower over everyone. Doesn't look like he has much shooting ability and is slow as molasses running. His team is very good. #10, #2 and #5 are great.
You can see from is first action Olivier doesn't possess basketball skills or instincts. Teammates don't even look for him in the offense or transition. And that's for good reason. His best ability is to stand tall, be long, and be active, and he finds it hard just to do that.
Yeah, not much improvement since when he was 15yo when I noticed the same thing. It's a shame because he's actually got a decent build for his height. Not gangly and fragile or a big, immobile unit like most his height but, as you say, he just doesn't have the skills.
He has a pretty high offensive rebound rate because his circle of reach is so huge so as long as the missed shot doesn't bounce way off he can get plenty of putbacks
It was pretty clear why he wouldn’t start. Those five who did, worked so well together. Getting up and down the court, dominating with full court pressure. The big fella would only work to slow them down, while utilizing this game plan. When it was time to slow the game down, then they let the big fella shine. Coach seems very confident in how to utilize his players. He has a lot of talent to work with. God willing, the young man adapts well to his body. Heavens😅

The kid is still growning ,he is from Montreal canada and is the youngest person on the team , he is known to be very very humble and super quite as all his team mates are older and very outspoken . His whole family is large .He did not start is more to his need to please others and not think about himself

Historically a lot of very tall kids enter the NBA, and many fail to make a roster simply because they don’t ‘workout’ enough in the gym, after practice they just go home and rest. They wait until they’re drafted then go on with some league advice trainer doing the same traditional routines, but by that time it’s too late. These kids need to get to the gym many times more than normal to build their ‘inner core’ for strength and longevity, pro ball is a ‘brutal’ competitive sport, and even teammates are waiting to take each others spot. Can’t make in the NBA just because one is tall and depending on natural abilities anymore, especially when there’s so much competition and other very tall kids fighting for the same opportunities. If this kids want to go far successfully he must hit the weight room and build his inner core.

I watched a video about that young fella. He doesn’t have great cardio, so I think they’re (coaches) just playing it safe. Doctors can’t be 100% sure about his health because he’s kinda a rare case growing so fast. So I actually like that, rather than exploiting the kid. He moves incredibility well for his size and has good reflexes and hands, If people think he is too slow watch film of NBA players like George Muresaun and Boban.M. even Tacko Fall made the NBA for a bit..

Boban rides the bench, and is much faster than Rioux. Muresaun came from a different era, he wouldn't make it in todays NBA.

He is a player of terrible quality and with children. He can't even play in Europe. I don't think it's even professional. It is very bad.
Boban is light years ahead in terms of skills. He has a really nice touch.
Rioux has only size. He's really not good enough to play at a high level league let alone the nba.

I watched a video about that young fella. He doesn’t have great cardio, so I think they’re (coaches) just playing it safe. Doctors can’t be 100% sure about his health because he’s kinda a rare case growing so fast. So I actually like that, rather than exploiting the kid. Like everyone else noticed, tho that’s a good team regardless.
For someone so tall, his decently athletic
