He’s only 17 he transferred from Canada to IMG academy. They’re letting the seniors start but he’ll be the starting center next year. Look up this video on UA-cam:

You could take any one of those players off the team, anf they would be a really good team. The players aren't there because the teams needs them. They are there to be groomed for the NBA. I suspect when they get into the NBA, some of the contract money makes it back to the school.

Quite honestly, the only thing world class about him is his size. He's basically a prototypical giant stiff. He works hard, so that helps, but his athletic limitations are glaringly obvious, even at the high school level. He'll need the right college program and a TON of work to be serviceable even at the college level and afterwards, MAYBE he'll drift around the lower leagues of Europe for a few years.

Clothes are very expensive, medically-speaking they tend to age more quickly than most others, they can't join the armed forces, and air travel is miserable unless they fork over for a first-class ticket. Historically a lot of very tall kids enter the NBA, and many fail to make a roster simply because they don’t ‘workout’ enough in the gym, after practice they just go home and rest. They wait until they’re drafted then go on with some league advice trainer doing the same traditional routines, but by that time it’s too late. These kids need to get to the gym many times more than normal to build their ‘inner core’ for strength and longevity, pro ball is a ‘brutal’ competitive sport, and even teammates are waiting to take each others spot. Can’t make in the NBA just because one is tall and depending on natural abilities anymore, especially when there’s so much competition and other very tall kids fighting for the same opportunities. If this kids want to go far successfully he must hit the weight room and build his inner core.

They aren’t passing him the ball because he’s not confident or comfortable yet. You can see when he touches the ball he panics a little bit. He has to grow into and embody his size first. They literally tried to pass it to him out of a trap under the basket and his own teammate slashing caught it and scored. That’s simply because he didn’t put his arms out to go grab the ball, he waited for it to come to him with his hands down. He can get there with good training but he can clean up boards for niw
