I have had mine for going on 5 years, made some changes so it's easier to pack after it's folded, added snaps to hold the parts that want to push out on each side.
Question: Do the stairs provide any support for the half section of the tent hanging of the car? I'm questioning because i'm about to buy one of these for my '72 Pontiac and i'm not sure if the roof will hold the pulling on one side of the roof, and double the weight on the other, if you know what i mean
Random question: We are considering ordering this tent for curbside pickup from the nearest REI (an hour or so away) so as to avoid the 160.00 shipping fee. The catch is that we would need to perform the install there in the REI parking lot as the box will not fit inside our Subaru Outback. Is the process quick enough to make this feasible? And what all tools were required? Thanks for your time and the great video!
Hey! Random and unrelated (though this video was helpful when I was installing my tent!) what are your bike racks on the walls? I’m looking to do something similar in my garage. Thanks!!

We sold this rig and the tent along with it a year ago, but it was great while we had it.
Supposed to wet it down good so the threads will adapt ,
Thanks for this. Picking one up this week and this allowed me to get ahead of the curve in realizing it'll be a lot easier with two sets of hands!
Chris Seaman sure thing! We use YT enough to help us research, learn, etc so giving back where we are able.
Appreciated! Very informative.
Love it !! Nice tent !!
Well done
Just purchase one👍✌

Hi there! Yes the stairs support the half of the tent not on the vehicle roof.

Pick it up with a utility trailer and haul it home. Much easier to do there because you will always forget the one tool you need.
I did it and it took 4 hours hahaha in direct sunlight the other day 🤣 but it's on boys 🇺🇸

Hey there and sure thing! I got them from Amazon. You should be able to find them by searching “Ibera Horizontal Bicycle Bike Wall Hanger”.
So expensive, yet made in China. Can US no longer mfr tents at a competitive price?
Did Tepui/Thule reimburse you some of the purchase price when you sent them the preinstalled damage from shipping ?
I never asked them. Probably would have though.
@@overlandv10 was there a hole in the box? maybe they wrapped it damaged
That music was pure torture
Agreed. Deliverance banjo with the incessant hand clapping noise had me constantly hitting mute.
Blame epdemic sound, that is where we get our music lol
@@overlandv10 I suppose you can be tone deaf but still functional. LOL
@@tcolondovich2996 haha yes
What kind of silicone did you put in there?
Some kind of automotive silicone I picked up at the auto parts store. Nothing special in that regard.
