    Great review, we purchased the same unit, we opted for a 110 volt AC unit which we can run off of shore power or our Honda generator which we also use to keep the two house batteries charged, we can also just hook the trailers pig tail to our Toyota Tacoma and let them charge that way which takes very little time. Instead of the wrap around awning we had a custom screened in room built that covers both kitchen pullouts and then some, really adds a whole new dimension to these unique camper.

    I don't know how your friend found that camper, but Teton needs to do some advertising if they can outdo their current demand. That rig is awesome. I was worried about grabbing food from the fridge during the rain, but they solved that. I agree that the short door must be the biggest con, especially for aging folks with less than great knees. Still with all the features, functionality, and at that weight, a fantastic travel trailer to boondock your way across North America.

      @@garretlewis4103 All the prices on these teardrops have gone up darn near 50% since COVID, not just these. Demand is through the roof and materials are getting scarce. Also, a lot of passion projects are turning into serious money-making ventures for company founders. Entry-level trailers (across all companies) have all gone up about the same proportion. $17,000 a year or two ago is now $25,000 for the same exact build.
      I've about decided to get a used A-frame for 1/2 or 1/3 the price. Raise it up 4 inches, put bigger wheels and tires on it, maybe add a skid plate, and have all the conveniences of the high-end teardrops, with a pair of 20-pound propane tanks, standard. Not as big of a status symbol, but quite functional. Fully-insulated teardrops seem to start at $25,000 and go up from there. You can find a good used Chalet for $10,000 - $15,000.

    Thank you for doing this review on the Teton camper. Very nice.!!
    The only negative thing I see was that they can't say it has a shower and bathroom (that misleads people to think it has one inside). The shower and bathroom the Teton has, anyone could buy as add on and put it next to their camper or even a tent. But it wouldn't mean your tent has a bathroom and shower.
    What I like most about the Teton is that smaller trucks and suvs can haul this camper (smaller than ¾ ton) That will appeal to a lot more people.
    Again thank you for doing this review, the Teton seems to have everything someone would need.

Stand alone Kitchen, Outhouse and Utility Trailers. Add auxillary power from the auto for all night AC, and this makes the chaperones very happy. Or 3 families with tents....bring this unit and you lessen a little of the "roughing it" part of the experience.

The evaporator also has a blower fan just like your house or vehicle does which circulates the air inside the camper.

    Question about the (nifty) shower: Is there a place to hook the nozzle when you're rinsing or do you rinse, turn it off, then turn it back on when you want to rinse again? I was also curious to see the awning out. Thank you.

    You can get to the freezer from the inside. What about the rest of the kitchen, or is that only for outdoors?

    • @Weretherussos
      @Weretherussos  3 роки тому

      Just the fridge/freezer. You have to use the kitchen outside.

    Those pull out drawers are nice but is there support at the end of each of them? They're probably sturdy rails but I can see those failing after years of pulling them out and just leaving them hang there.

    The problem, many small cars, small SUVs have a 1,500 tow weight. Years ago Europe campers came in at or under this weight. All we want is a bed, toilet, small sink to wash hands, and shower. Basically a small motel room.

    One of the best tiny off-road trailers I've seen. Very logical designed and the fridge access inside or out is genius. The only thing I'd do different is make that table a lagun table
