Great review, we purchased the same unit, we opted for a 110 volt AC unit which we can run off of shore power or our Honda generator which we also use to keep the two house batteries charged, we can also just hook the trailers pig tail to our Toyota Tacoma and let them charge that way which takes very little time. Instead of the wrap around awning we had a custom screened in room built that covers both kitchen pullouts and then some, really adds a whole new dimension to these unique camper.
I don't know how your friend found that camper, but Teton needs to do some advertising if they can outdo their current demand. That rig is awesome. I was worried about grabbing food from the fridge during the rain, but they solved that. I agree that the short door must be the biggest con, especially for aging folks with less than great knees. Still with all the features, functionality, and at that weight, a fantastic travel trailer to boondock your way across North America. Thanks for the tour!

Good to see the video. We have actually considered the TetonX Hybrid as an upgrade to our current square drop. To me this gives you the flexibility to stay overnight somewhere where you need to be self contained (Harvest Host, Boondockers Welcome, Wal-Mart, etc.). When I checked a few weeks ago, current lead time is about 18 months.
@@garretlewis4103 All the prices on these teardrops have gone up darn near 50% since COVID, not just these. Demand is through the roof and materials are getting scarce. Also, a lot of passion projects are turning into serious money-making ventures for company founders. Entry-level trailers (across all companies) have all gone up about the same proportion. $17,000 a year or two ago is now $25,000 for the same exact build. I've about decided to get a used A-frame for 1/2 or 1/3 the price. Raise it up 4 inches, put bigger wheels and tires on it, maybe add a skid plate, and have all the conveniences of the high-end teardrops, with a pair of 20-pound propane tanks, standard. Not as big of a status symbol, but quite functional. Fully-insulated teardrops seem to start at $25,000 and go up from there. You can find a good used Chalet for $10,000 - $15,000.

It’s not so much as you showing what all the vehicles have to offer, but HOW You do it - very detailed and explanatory...it’s very nice listening to you “do your thing” buddy! When you started pulling stuff out all I could think of was "autobots, roll out"!!! I think these are awesome but I also know how cramped my 17 ft hybrid gets (with a full bathroom) after a few days and I don't think I could do it. Then again my brother has a 32 ft fifth wheel with a chandelier above his kitchen island and its not even camping (or glamping) at that point, different strokes for different folks I guess.
I met the owner, Kyle, at the Overland Expo in Flagstaff in 2019. He gave me a complete tour of his Teton X. It's quite a trailer. Fully equipped, you can go right up to 36K. They now have a two year waiting list as of May 2021.
Great review. The shower enclosure is well designed. I would bump up the battery AH just to make it through the night with the A/C on. Also like the pop up, makes getting dressed easier.

Great video. Beat me to it. One thing to note is the rear propane tank isn’t a spare but is actually the tank you use for the stove. The front runs the water heater and camper heater (if equipped).

We have a Vista RV Crossover which we love. A FULL offroad hybrid. No dust or water gets inside when it is closed up for travel. It is the same width as our 100 Series Landcruiser so we need no extra width mirrors, 1600kg aggregate weight.
On the back of the camper that is the condensing unit.... The Evaporater coil is on the inside,Lol... I wouldnt have said a word but that is my Trade so that is just a simple error in wording,, I do it all the time. Awesome video .Thank you,It helped me make my mind up. Great product.

The only negative thing I see was that they can't say it has a shower and bathroom (that misleads people to think it has one inside). The shower and bathroom the Teton has, anyone could buy as add on and put it next to their camper or even a tent. But it wouldn't mean your tent has a bathroom and shower. What I like most about the Teton is that smaller trucks and suvs can haul this camper (smaller than ¾ ton) That will appeal to a lot more people. Again thank you for doing this review, the Teton seems to have everything someone would need.
Cool camper. The kitchen is amazing. Did not think there would be that much for the kitchen. I love the black out screens as I am a light sleeper. I live the idea of putting the toilet outside or inside and the shower outside. Who ever made this. They thought of everything.
I love everything about this trailer. First thing I would change is the toilet storage. I would move that to a dedicated tool box outside the cabin. I wish they had designed a cabinet with outside in side access. Sealed with gaskets on the doors.
Maybe spruce up the toilet set up, and these are just what I was thinking about for large group camping...such as boy scouts. I called them SKOUTS. Stand alone Kitchen, Outhouse and Utility Trailers. Add auxillary power from the auto for all night AC, and this makes the chaperones very happy. Or 3 families with tents....bring this unit and you lessen a little of the "roughing it" part of the experience.
Yes, REALLY spruce up the toilet set up. After a few boys use that thing (how's their aim?) making jokes, what would the ground around it feel like? Smell like? A little soggy perhaps. Ewwww!!
I think you meant evaporator is inside. Compressor and Condenser is normally outside, the condenser has a fan that blows across the condenser coils to release or transfer the heat inside the camper to the outside. The evaporator also has a blower fan just like your house or vehicle does which circulates the air inside the camper.

This type of set up would have been a much better alternative to those tent camping days, especially in the heat. Happy travels.

That's a well thought out trailer. One drawback though is how low the awning is. You'd constantly be ducking down to move around underneath it unless you're Danny DeVito.
I can’t wait til 400w+ solar, a solar inverter, and at least one Lithium battery are standard options on every camper from teardrops to fifth wheels. These aren’t true off the grid til they do. I like the idea of being able to power the ceiling fan, lights and ac plugs at all times regardless of where I am.
It look like the bath can also be used as awening.....after you fold the top structure just lift up the bottom of the bath material n use the poles n make it Awening.....?

Those pull out drawers are nice but is there support at the end of each of them? They're probably sturdy rails but I can see those failing after years of pulling them out and just leaving them hang there.
The problem, many small cars, small SUVs have a 1,500 tow weight. Years ago Europe campers came in at or under this weight. All we want is a bed, toilet, small sink to wash hands, and shower. Basically a small motel room.
One of the best tiny off-road trailers I've seen. Very logical designed and the fridge access inside or out is genius. The only thing I'd do different is make that table a lagun table

I've never seen one that'll run off 12v before. They've always needed mains voltage.

The problem, many small cars, small SUVs have a 1,500 tow weight. Years ago Europe campers came in at or under this weight. All we want is a bed, toilet, small sink to wash hands, and shower. Basically a small motel room.

One of the best tiny off-road trailers I've seen. Very logical designed and the fridge access inside or out is genius. The only thing I'd do different is make that table a lagun table
