    Nice video Matt and thanks for the shout out! We're at Preston parkrun this coming weekend for another member's 50th parkrun 👍🏻

      You are more than welcome. It all helps build the community. Good luck at Preston on Saturday. It looks like it will be a wet one. And a big congratulations from both me and Becky for all of your club members' milestones!

      Thanks Mandy! It is a really nice parkrun and I really recommend giving it a go. Really nice and flat with a great cafe and garden centrey thing to have a look round afterwards. We had a great day out with you guys in Lytham and you did great in the race. 🎉

    I’ve done Lytham and I was lucky, I had superb weather that day. I saw your metric hit 193 bpm near the finish so you were really pushing Carl, well done (I saw 204 once which alarmed me😂). Nice to get some footage of the 3 Whales too. The cafe looked very nice, always a nice reward😊

      I was definitely pushing but I do know my limits. I saw 207 once at Bolton Parkrun. It was my first ever parkrun and I tried to run up Cruella DaHill both times without walking. I had to walk the second time. And we do love a good cafe 🙂 Thank you for watching

    Oh no, no tune! Guessing the dispute didn't get a good result? I've not heard back yet!
    Great run, like the look of the parkrun, definately one for us to visit. Looked a bit trail like, would you reckon trail shoes for this?
    Glad the camera got the whole thing this time. Think the head strap could do with a tighten. Mine wobbled like this a little last week at Barnsley because it had loosened a bit. You'll get more butter footage from this cam 😊

      Don't worry. I'm saving the tune and dispute for a bonus video of just the race coverage and opted to leave it out for this one. Plus becky preferred having the ode to the fallen bit in because she has a tattoo of it so I went with this instead. I forgot to enable the low light jitter option and i think the iso was jumping around a bit but I will get the hang of it in time. It is a much better bit of kit than the go3s so I'm certain i will get better footage once I've got the hang of it. I really appreciate your pointers that helped me get anything useful out of it without being able to test it first.
      As for the run, the paths are all fairly well established and road shoes are fine, but I wouldn't recommend carbons. It's a really nice run. I recommend paying attention on the first lap and a half to work out where you are going to start kicking on for the finish. The first time we did this run we started trying to sprint for home not realising we still had 800m left and I thought i was going to have a cardiac with 200m to go. This time we waited until after passing the carpark to push on.

      Nice job both of you. Hope the groin eases up. These niggles are frustrating.

      @@sagsdothedu Thanks Mark. The groin strain is recovering with a bit of rehab work. It only seems to affect me for the first couple of minutes then it loosens up and I'm fine. I think it might actually be a knock on effect of the hip flexor tightness I got in the Manchester Half, but the strengthening work definitely seems to be helping. We will get there. 💪

    Have you tried the Fleetwood parkrun?

    • @TheRegularRunner
      @TheRegularRunner  15 днів тому

      We haven't tried it yet but it's on the list. I've read that car parking can be a bit awkward at Fleetwood which is all that has stopped us trying it. I imagine a day without wind would be preferable too if you want a fast time. Maybe one to try in Spring as conditions start to improve do you think? Thanks for watching 🙂
