I am older! I've had 16 motorcycles. Three of them were Harleys, two Heritages and now a Tri Glide. I am still not too old for a Sportster. I would still love to own a Sportster. An 883 would be good enough for me, I don't need a large bike, small bikes are much more fun.
Great video! Loved the dual GoPro angles, picture quality, sound, all great. Would love to see more riding videos with the 1200, around town, popular ride spots or food spots in the area, hidden gems, etc etc. Would also be cool to see you and your girl doing a ride together. Cheers🤙🏽🇺🇸
Thanks for the complements! All of that means a lot! I got a liver transplant 8 months ago and haven’t been able to ride much or do too much. As soon as I start feeling closer to 100% I will forsure get after that. It might be on a different bike tho. Not sure how much longer I’ll have that one. I like to switch it up.

Just drove my iron 1600 Miles from Jersey to Tennessee...dragons tail..engine light came on soon as I got home. Threw 3 codes ecm Y dcm Y spedo Y ...I tightened handle bars blinker housing maybe pinched wires?
Great looking bike. I just picked up an 08 nightster 1200. Forward controls, 12" monkey minis, screaming eagle pipes with a sissy bar. I come from supermotos which I still have and earlier street bikes. So stoked to ride it around in spring.
Great bike man! May I ask what fuel management system you used with the bassani? Any issues or things to be careful? I heard that the fp3 does not work very well with these pipes. Thanks
hello and thanks! after i put the pipe and new air cleaner on the bike i took it down to the local harley dealership and they did the download to the ecu. i think its called a stage 1 or stage 2 download? its the one for the pipe and intake. they did it all and it runs great!
Don’t remember. Haven’t had that bike for years. If you read some of the older comments I might have answered that question before. I know I’ve got a lot of the same questions in the past.
Just found your channel, great job! I Traded my Suzuki sv for an Iron 1200cc 2020 and you are right I do feel like a BADASS! I Love it, I changed the slips on too, the sound and the look is amazing bro!
After I put that stuff on there it ran like total shit. Then I took it to the dealership and had them tune it. Then it was great! Noticeable difference. But not street bike difference. Haha. It was a fun bike.

@@aaronangelo2291 if you just want a exhaust on there…. You’ll be fine. I’ve had a handful of bikes with just the exhaust mod and it didn’t mess with the motor or performance. If you do the exhaust and air box you will forsure need to get it tuned. But just an exhaust….. you’ll be fine.

What did you use to get the speedo to reach that far up?I have the same bike but a 2018 with the biltwell window bars.I want to go higher but having a hard time finding the extension wires to bring the speedo up further.
it doesn't reach. the risers i have on this bike are 10 inch biltwell risers and about half way up them i have a mounting bracket that wedges itself to the inside of the bars. then the speedo mounts to that. i can barley see it, but it does the job. there is a bunch of company's that sell wiring kits to make it all the way up. lowbrow customs, tc bros and so on
@@tylerhubbell6410 they dont reach all the way up to the top of my 10 inch risers. they go about half way up. i unbolted the tank and tugged on the wires to get every erxtra inch i could so i didnt have to rewire them. hahah. thanks! its the perfect fit for me. im 6 feet tall and i feel like i have a pretty good reach.
I’ve had all of the 2 into 1 pipes. They all sounds extremely close. That’s the pipe that was available when I got it. 2 into 1 sound amazing. Better back pressure aswell.
I didn’t extend the cables. And it doesn’t teach the top. It goes to about mid point on the bars. You just have to look a little up and over to see anything less than 60-100mph. Or your dummy lights you can’t see unless you look up and over.

jeremy larvor yes, the cables are all stock. The stock bars are 12 inches so a lot of stock cable. My risers are 10 inches. And the bars have a 2 inch rise. So basically stock height. Haha

the bike comes stock with 12 inch bars. i didn't have to extend the throttle cable or clutch. if i wanted the speedo at the top of my risers i would have had to extend the cables. i bought a clamp that bolts up in between the risers and holds the speedo onto it. i took off the tank and pulled as much of the wires as i could to get every extra inch out of them and have the speedo mounted a little more than half way up the risers. the risers are builtwell 10 inch and my bars have a 2 inch rise in them. so basically making it stock height again. feel free to comment back if this didnt answer your message!

Yup that was me. It was for my friend. He loves it. There wasn’t a exhaust hanger bracket on it and he broke a few bolts cause of it. I made him a new hanger and it’s all good now. It’s funny cause everyone loves this video, and it’s my least favorite bike. Hahah. Glad you like yours. Thank you for the complement on the content.
there is a few different clamps you can user to get it mounted to the handle bars. im using a c style clamp that has a 1/4-20 hole in it and mounted to that is a magic arm from smallrig and at the end the gopro. another way is to use the handle bar mount from gopro. that works well too. the magic arm is great cause it gets the camera out farther so you can see more of the bars. and the scene
@@p85film Good to know. I am also 6ft. I just bought a 2021 Iron 1200. I feel well positioned with the stock seat. A LITTLE more leg room wouldn't hurt. Not sure I need full forwards though. I did have them on my 48 and I liked them. The riding position on that bike was totally different though. I too want a 2 up seat. The La Pera Daddy Long Legs is supposed to offer more leg room. I wish they had sample seats they would mail you. So that you'll know for sure before buying. Ah well.
@@defbear i have a saddleman seat now. its a great seat but still didn't change the ride height. i have to have mids, i dont like not being in control of the bike. forwards in turns feel like your going to loop out.

@@ans6427 super easy. They sell the pieces all over the internet. There’s 2 pieces to it. If you have t bars or just normal risers it will work like mine. There is a mount that you can buy that goes in between the risers. Then You need to buy the speedo housing bracket that bolts onto the risers plate that is in between the risers. hahah your so right! i love the look of a club style bike, and yes there always dynas. what i ment by dad bike, was a bigger more comfortable harley. im good with the small thin profile of the sportster for now, but when i get older i sure will have a bigger more comfort driven harley. thank you for the sportster complement!

I own a GSXR and an Iron 1200 and I totally agree I feel really cool on the bike hahaha. The gsxr not so much

how tall are the risers? or the total height of your full bar setup?
risers were 10 inches. bars has a 2 inch bend in them. 12 total
