I just noticed that your sissy bar is mounted backward. You should flip it, then the eagle. Having it facing forward will make it push up against tall stuff that you might pack on it. Those bars look really good, though, especially after seeing you holding them, from the side and front. I'm wanting 14s on my '03.

If you really want to appreciate apes, get the drilled bars and run wires inside them. Otherwise it looks like the power lines in India.

Hey their was some struggle I would say if you have the same bike go with 12inch bars it should be easier.
What is the length of the throttle cables and clutch cable you used?

So 14s all stock I have 14s at home haven’t added because thought cables were to short guess I was wrong 😊

I have an 05 with the original bars and 5 inch riser.. i was wondering if I could put 14 inch without changing anything.
That I don't know my original bars were 10 or 12 high.
Thanks for the vid. Does your throttle stick at all when full turn right? I kept og wires too but 12".
Nice! No it doesn't stick but I definitely had to tighten the throttle return cable because it was loose.
I bought the same bars for my 2020 iron 1200 and when I installed them the throttle was not kicking back and was stuck. Do you know why?
Hmm did u put the cables back the same, the cable ends with the metal ends

@@lifeandi I’m 5’11” and looking at 16” ape hangers. Think they are too tall?
@DerekEvan they might be just at the point of being to big, but I never got sore shoulders or numb arms, even riding 280miles

No issues with using the stock cables??
Their was but I took it off some cable clips to give it more slack it works, if you want it to go smoother try 12inch bars.

Actually, the Burly extension kit would take care of it, but it takes some soldering.
If you still got them bars I'll take em off your hands. Are you planning on swithing out any other parts for chrome ones?

I have the bars and wind screen. It cost alot to ship because of the box size but if you live near u can have them.

Did the tank lift effect your gas milage at all?
Well if it did I dont notice it. It might have helped
I have the exact same bike, color and all. But I've been pretty unimpressed about the gas milage I've been getting on it. I'm 5'11 and about 245lbs pretty stocky. I only see about 35mpg and I only do highways anyways
I am 6 and 160 I don't get the gas light after 135miles but I believe when the light goes off it means I have 1 gallon left.
@@lifeandi I filled up drove 80miles according to my odometer and my light was on
Wow I guess I would say check tiers pressure, air filter, and a costly but great thing is a fuel pack.
