Hey alux listen to me make a video about top 10 most expensive school in the world in next video please big fan from India 🇮🇳
As a millennial, I'm totally agreed to the fact that I prefer smart work over hard work.
💯💯💯
To be honest it doesn’t matter nowadays you be lucky if you could get both..!!
We need more work here. It all went overseas which isn’t our fault.
As a millennial also agree. Making everything an endurance test doesn’t mean you’re working “harder”.
The most common phrase new employees get told
1. You were born between 1981-1996
thats the only sign needed to know if ur a millenial xD
My rule of thumb is, if you were born after the start of MTV but before 9/11 you are a millennial
Harry Gerry Same, I was born in 1995 & I’m not sure if I’m a millennial or Gen Z either lol
I'm from 1997 & consider myself a millennial
Internet Overdose I was born in 1998 and consider myself as a millennial
I’m Millennial and can relate with all, including not trusting “any” of candidates.
You look 15 tho!
The first one sounds like the person who made this video was legitimately confused about the difference between GEN Ziers and millennials
I definitely don't
Agreed.
True, im in my early 30s, got a stable job, live by myself, no wife, no kids, and love to travel.
What is "early" 30s? 31? 33?
Live it up - living the good life!!!
@@Whoeverwhateverwhenever I'd say it's 30 to 33. 34 to 36 is mid 30s, and 37 to 39 is late 30s.
...you mean go to another country to pay for sex?
Yea men usually like that;)
@@roserevancroix2308 O..ok
I’m a boomer that had all those characteristics. You’ve got to keeping changing. It’s just natural !
People don't change, it's very childish and naive to think anything else=)
RoseRevanCroix CORE Values and character don’t change. But changing with fashion, technology, etc. is the natural order of things.
Thats not surprising at all since most Millennials are children of the Boomers. Obviously Boomers and Millennials have some similarities just like how we Gen Xers have similarities with Gen Zers.
You’re right. If a person is open minded he can be adapted to anything
@@roserevancroix2308 Jesus Christ changes the heart. Triune Lord is the only exception ! Christ' makes one a new creation in Christ. Christ changes a stoney heart into a heart of flesh. Christ renews ones mind through the reading and studying of his holy scriptures. Christ is also the way the trth and the life. He is the only way to the kingdom of God. Christ calls all men to turn from their sin and trust in him. Seek him with all ones heart and mind heart and soul and strength. Otherwise; one will perish and end up in he ll!! Romans 10:9-10, Romans 3:10, John 14:6, Acts 17:30, Romans 10:17, Ephes 2:15
i literally drop everything to watch this right now!!!😂😂😂😂
Hope you enjoy!
not your phone
Same here was studying for tommorw test😂
same hahahaha 10 minutes in Im thinking to myself....am I really watching this whole thing til the end? no fast forwards lol
...I am going to take a wild guess that "everything" means "put your xbox controller down for 15 mins (!)"
Amazing, what a sacrifice!
I’m a millennial and I dislike working for others, I am head strong of having my own business that creates wealth and success for me right now and for the rest of my life. I love to love what I’m doing because that is what make me continue to do it.
You’re gorgeous. Have Instagram?
Lamfo that the times were living isn’t it creepy a stranger asking your Instagram to see more pictures of you go meet someone in real life sir
We millennials also experienced some serious world catastrophes as well, starting with 9/11, Iraq, Afghanistan & even COVID 19 in our adulthoods that completely changed our views on World Economics as well. No other generations besides us, and perhaps Gen X too, went thorough country shut downs that jeopardized our livelihoods like such. Man what a time that was!
Also the Great Recession in '08 fucked us up pretty good.
I can relate to them all but two of them I feels most defines me....that's the internet makes me feel at home and I'm very okay with change. I moved from Chicago, Il to Hampton,Georgia and I'm looking into traveling the world for 1 year. I'm literally saving and planning for it. Due to me feeling at home with the internet I can be in Switzerland or New Zealand with wifi and wont be in any rush to come back to America....oh yeah I also can relate to always trying to find meaning in my life. I found this channel two years ago by typing in what I should know by the time I turn 30 I'm now 28 with more than half the list completed. I subscribed and turned on the bell because I love how nothing is sugarcoated. I got to work! Now I'm a book nerd judging Everyone who dont read lol thanks Alux 🥰
Hey millennial aluxers!!! 🙋
Alux nailed it especially the entrepreneur point. I really want to do meaningful work with a positive impact on the world.💕
This really true to the 100%
Most of the points I connect to myself, every points it's says about me.
So 81 is a millennial now? They keep changing the year all the time. How can I be a millennial being born in 81 when I remember a world before the internet and cell phones? I was well into high school too before those things too. I remember the Zach Morris cell phone but cell phones were rare.
i think ur missing the point of being a millenial lol
@@gruisman what point am I missing? I never considered myself a millennial. If they say the year 1981 than I guess I'm a millennial but I'm asking
@@abefroman8821 I saw that it was due to Pew Research and had to do with their research on attitudes, namely, people in 1981 were more liberal. So not really a science. I remember ~ 2000 in college hearing about genY, which was ~ 1975 - 1985. Didn't hear the term millennial until 2011. It was supposed to be about people "coming of age" around 2000, and what "coming of age" even means isn't a hard and fast thing. I remember liking GenY because "my generation" was born between 1975 and 1983 and in the 80s/90s, I always thought GenX was someone born in the late 60s/early 70s. I didn't consider 1977 genX, but don't consider it millennial. But now anyone born in the 70s is saying "proud GenXer" which is sometimes weird. Because 1978 can't be GenX but early 80s not.
I was born in 1981 and don’t consider myself millennial, anyone born in the 80s was born way before internet took over, I was not on the internet til my mid 20s and same for all my friends near my age born between 1978-1986!
@@gruisman no millennials 1982 - 1999 or 1982 - 2000
I’m a millennial and what you said is very true.
Totally
The content starts at 1:34''. Thank me later.
MVP 🏆
I really enjoyed this Sunday video I feel like I connected with all these signs especially since I started an LLC
So I'm a 90% millennial, tech savy AF. Except I'm patriotic and you know where i get it? I learned it by actually working outside my country. I choose to live globally and put my heart to my country (not politician) and countrymen.
Can you please do a video on us Gen Xers? I feel like we often get overlooked. At work, only the other two groups get talked about by corporate managers. When I ask about us, the response I get is that there simply aren't enough of us to acknowledge.
lol most of you probly overdosed in the 70's and 80's so i think the missing piece of the pie is there xD
Gxm.......gen x matters
@@gruisman we are the ones that aren't so fkn sensitive about everything and can handle working out and going outside away from social media.
I plan to at some point.
Gen X is so agreeable and never does anything crazy. what would you depict? from a millennial
i love how they portrayed the differences between the generations with pluto in virgo (boomers) and libra (xers) and the millenials (scorpio) without this being a video about astrology 😄
Hey Mr./Ms.alux, why don't you think on making a combined video on book collection like (branding, leadership, managing, selling etc.) ?
First video from Alux that I check off all 16 things 😆
the work hour is SO ME. I hate 9-5 jobs. I would rather work my butt off to complete the task and finish work early so I can have more free time outside work. Less time spent at work-the less time being miserable having to wait for time go by and dealing with work colleagues
I'm a millennial and I'm proud of it
...you're proud of being an idiot?
Ok, good for you^^
Amen! I'm right there with you. Proud to be a millennial! 💪🏽
I believe that millinials are more task oriented than time oriented.
The idea of grouping or defining people simply based on when they were born is ridiculous. The ideas or signs this video presents can describe people over a wide range of ages for example. I wonder what stupid label people born 1000 years from now will be given.
@big Head no we don’t but ok..!!
Not necessarily. Think about the time you grow up and what’s happening at the time influences your environment hugely and since we’re social creatures each generation shares common traits.
What a great video. Can truly relate . love 12 , this generation is more entrepreneurial than ever and the bug is really taken seriously.
My generation loves to sit at home till 26 and live on the computer like its their job... i know quite a few of my friends who are like this...
The voting part is very true.
Feeling at home online is more than millennial to me because I prefer to socialize online than in person.
Yep. This definitely points me out.
I talked so bad about Millennials... and I find out I'm one! 😭
OMG, it’s a match, every single point is relatable
Hey Alux.com are you going to do a video on 15 signs your a Gen Zer or iGen?
Thaks for, cuz that's the only video that I watching talking about "good" things! Lol
I love this video! It's so spot on!
I find it odd that anyone would dislike a video like this.
I'm 60+ and have been called a millennial many times.
1. tech savvy: I have my own computer language which runs on andrrhoid, but do not use social mediocracy
2. totally at home online: Doing computers for nearly half a century
3. your socially conscious: Not trusting of government, don't vote anywhere
4. less patriotic but more globally minded: Emigrated like my parents
5. motivated by meaning: I showroom on Amazon, then buy in a store.
6. workplace as somewhere permanent: Of course not, thinking that way would be foolish. Healthy distrust of discorporations as employers
7. 'play the game' like your parents: They emigrated from the USSR many years ago
8. nomad: Emigrated from US decades ago, clients all over
9. you value experiences more than material things: Reduce clutter, flotsam, jetsam, small energy-efficient dwelling, less money for crap buys more freedom
10. hierarchies in the workplace: Largely workplace history
11. your are task oriented not time oriented: Also workpace history. Gig economy has worked for me 30+ years.
12. entrepreneurial: DId it once and will do it again
13. crave authenticity: Think the video is saying crave freedom.
14. results quickly: nice to have, but delayed gratification works better for me.
15. you are open to change: No choice
16. can't unplug: I stay unplugged
...you mean you're a nerd?
I've a dream of becoming billionaire in just 7 years.
Can't wait!
@@alux Thank you!
You will not become shit.

@@roserevancroix2308 oh shit LMAO you came haaard! Almost spit my beer out
Stay focus. It wont be easy at first so dont give up
The funny thing is most of this stuff is really just a state of mind, the way we think. Pretty good.
Thanks Alux God bless
I love being a millennial!

Good that you like that! have fun^^

I think it's a legitimate reason to dislike voting, but not a good enough reason to not vote. In order for change to happen, we need to either do it ourselves or deal with the options presented.
The workplace fact is the most millennial fact(s) is what I believe defines us as millennial.
Appreciate you guys!
#TeamMillenial
I really hope you guys at some point make a video sighting gen z. As like a lot of older people don’t even know we exist. And think that teenagers today are apart of and embody the millennials trope.
Ding Ding somebody call my name?
I vote every time there's an election. Been doing since I was 18. Personally, I like voting, so I don't think I'll ever stop.
Great video👌
Guys, I just loved this video! ❤️ Millennial here. (1990) ¡Cuántas verdades!
Top ten signs you are a Gen X'er
10. We were the last generation to have patience.
9. We valued trendy name brands instead of cheaper clothing and shoes.
8. We were time oriented instead of task centered.
7. We played video games on a console.
6. We were the last generation to play outside our homes.
5. We were the first generation to be truly socially conscious.
4. Although we value social media and the internet, we see it as a tool not a lifestyle or something on which our lives depend.
3. We valued traditional life path but questioned it.
2. We watched music videos on TV instead of streaming it.
1. We are the generation who can remember a time without internet and most likely to adapt should the internet go down.
Bonus: we are the last generation with social skill.
What do you think? What would you add to this list?
Sorry alix I must disagree with you assertion that gen x are hooked on social media.
Somewhat Agree.
Alright lets give these gen X'ers a sticker becuz their so special.
I see ur mind is so clear even tho ur old,
Millenials also played video games on console (playing on mobile or internet became possible late late 90's early 00's)
We also played outside becuz yeah (no internet or cellphones)
We also vallue trendy name brands but since ur generation and the ones before that fucked us most of us are forced to go cheap :)
and yeah We also watched music on TV instead of streaming becuz yeah no internet till late late 90's
oh yeah and we also remember times with no internet lol idk what ur thinking but millenials are borm from 1981 tilll 2000 so half of us are just as special as you claim to be lol
Damn right we are special. Lol
You just explained my personality in a nutshell and how I think of life. I appreciate this comment!
Sean Nixon as a genXer I totally agree. I work with a bunch of millineals and my experiences have been both good and super annoying 😂
This millennial feels so.out of place with this and once you said Nomad you got me back 😂
Really good
3:27 also like watching Alux.com and getting inspired💘
1985 - 1995 are millennials
they are all so true with me
Omg I am more of a millennial than I thought. I now embrace being a millennial #1985 #millennial
#1989 #Millennial
Same year but I don’t feel like an millennial.
olly2027 I sometimes feel like I’m on the “cusp” of generation X and Millennial.
1995. 💯% Millennials.
1992:) millennials
Election point... Alux pl have a video on this
Hi alux , can you make a video on gen Z . We're missing out

These are on point. Some are a bit far reaching.
This is so legit.
Can you do a video on gen xers?

I am a Gen Xers and I agree I find it hard to stay off social media. But I am starting to. But Millenials are Entrepreneurial.
Born in 1980 and proud GenX'er...GenX is never blamed for anything loll
I agree with most of this except that Gen Z are the true digital natives while Millennials have had a childhood in the analogue age. Millennials are like a bridge generation.
Yeah we had the best TV and cartoons, no UA-cam. Check my Channel
Hello, Alux!!!!!
Hi!
Absolutely Loving this video.
A proud Millennial A Proud Aluxer!
Love you back!
Missed: we are still addicted to nostalgia from when we where kids.
Best point: work place habits
Worst point: instant gratification, i keep hearing this but we are the generation that waited to move out that was patient with getting kids and having babies and took the time to find a job that fits us. That takes real patience and time to achieve
They defined me perfectly nothing bad about that....
I can relate sooo much to this... (born 1996)
Good morning alux
Good morning!
Dont know what that means.. but came to watch.
I'm a true millennial my generationI love everything about being a millennial I never realized everything until how much I embrace it.
ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE A VIDEO ON 15 SIGNS YOU'RE A GEN-X-ER?
Even as a millennial I find these videos so interesting and enlightening. We certainly have our flaws. There are good things about us though. It’s unfair for one to assume that no millennial offers anything.
I for one am a lazy narcissist 😊
7:30 I want to call out bullshit on that one there is no way we can AFFORD TOO. When your average apartment when I was 20 was 475 bucks is now over 1000 bucks.
I guess I'm a old millennial. I was born 1981 and turned 40 this year.
Though I'm born in the year 2000
1. Yeah true
2. Partly true (but not selfies, I hate it)
3. Yeah true
4. yeah true
5. Yeah Absolutely True
6. Yeah I hate companies ( I'd rather do PhD than being an employee)
7. I don't wanna get married
8. Yeah I'm doing masters in Germany.
9. yeah true
10. Yeah (but if my teammate is bad, I can't trust)
11. Yeah I'm task oriented
12. 50% true for me
13. yes I want to be true to myself
14. sometimes I'm patient, sometimes I'm not (though I work hard for something, but in the end I couldn't get after that time period) but I stick to it, cause no matter what, I'm willing to work hard
15. yeah I'm open to change, but if it means to lose my true self, I would pass.
Generation X & Z pls
I am a millennial (1986) and I identify with every single one.
I am glad grew up in the 60s. Things were much easier then, and our music was a whole other thing!
I'm born after 2000 but i can relate... 💕
Number 6. You're not likely able to get through this entire video
watching alux video not in signs?
i like this
So true......
Can you do a video on gen Z?
Great informative video and I'm a millennial born 1981. I came of age at the turn of the millennium in UK as the information age was taking hold across the globe. Firstly I don't consider myself lazy and don't believe in it, there's no such thing! There is no such thing , just lack of inspiration I reckon. ;-)So I've been an adult of working age now for just over 20 years and in the information age post industrial knowledge economy, technology, and social media are very important to millennials like myself. Money is important yet not like perhaps other generations. This is because have currency that's being debased and hopeful to change to crypto/knowledge economy to replace what fraudulence left to me - fiat. Therefore experience and knowledge economy more important to me, especially if it can make world better in a collective sense. Indeed I have things based on post industrial knowledge economy. I would love to replace. existing institutions and socio ec0onomic hierarchical structures that just don't work for me asap! How do I define myself as a millennial ? I'm libertarian conservative, scientifically minded, irreligious, averse to most "isms" and "phobias". labelling people and love liberal western democracy principles with limits on "hate" speech and inciting criminal activity. As a millennial I'm also open minded, optimistic, humanitarian, and idealistic, but realistic and pragmatic. Finally I'm not particularly entitled, nor am I narcissistic as some suggest, I was born into a single parent family and nothing in hand outs looking after myself living in London most of my life now. Indeed millennial have experienced worst economic downturns since before industrial revolution - 100 years and 300 years respectively in UK. This has happened in the 20 years I entered this labour Market. Millennial like myself would greatly appreciate being able to change the socio economic hierarchy and institutions to be better off oneself and to hopefully leave world better for future generations quality of life and environment. Indeed the changes I'd like are being a soft superpower in science/technology/cultural and artistic capital and my city London sure exemplifies this. As an individual millennial I'd like influence to be possibly maybe backed with softpowers that involve green renewable hydrogen economy, biotech/electronic antimicrobials and nanomaterials utility(quantum mechanical/electronic properties) for energy efficiency/4th industrial revolution style applications ;-) Despite harsh setbacks in my country, UK seems to have a lot going for it 21st century after imperial past and long history. On a final note like stated in this video, no understatement about millennial be very tech savvy/ Indeed I use social media and internet for research and development and that's the reason I remain optimist about the future! All generations have advantages and disadvantages in life that are unique and at I think I know what mine are ;-)
I'm a millenial I guess. I was born in 1999. Both my parents are gen xs.
Wow, good thing I'm not!
