I hear you Rupert. I was born a few years before you so was first introduced to music in the late 60's. First concert was the Yardbirds and then followed that with Jimi Hendrix and then Led Zeppelin ... and I was reborn as a hard rock child! Then the 80s happened and I literally stopped listening to radio for a decade. Then one day I turned the radio on again and heard "Even Flow" by Pearl Jam and I weeped with joy to discover ;music I could connect with was reborn! PS I would add Tool to your list ... they are ranked in my play list right next to Led Zepplin :)

Saw them back in the 90s and still the music is so beautiful so real I'm 48 now and my daughters listen to cadelbox the coolest thing ever God the 90s rocked
I have not heard this since high school. Crack and booze took me on a 15 year trip. Heroin and pills were part of the love affair. Shooting up cocaine was my lowest and the craziest high ever. Listening to this song just made me realize that life is amazing. It is never to late to get it back. I would not trade those times for all the money in the world.
I was born in 92, so most of my memories of the early 90s are foggy. Thankfully I had awesome parents who raised me on 80s hair metal and 90s grunge. I can never thank them enough for my taste in music.
I was 13 years old, in my room, alone, listening to this song on repeat when the EMTs came in and took me to my first psych ward. Mom had my committed for a failed "suicide" attempt. This song, even now, 20+ years later, still speaks to that angry little girl inside of me. Definitely most underrated band of the 90s.

This song seems so relevant nowadays maybe even more so than in the 90's...and now grunge is basically dead with the deaths of Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Mike Star, Scott Weiland and now Chris Cornell this year. Such an amazing time in music and in overall culture I think as well...the first and last era which had both the old style of hanging out, sneaking out a bedroom window at night, swing jumping and other things combined with the advancement of technology through the internet and so on. It feels like there is little to no cohesion between generations anymore, that whatever bridges were attempted by either side have been all but burnt to the ground. Maybe I'm just old and bitter though...
Very well said, I am from the 90's. I'm 40 now. Moved from Ct. To Aroostook County Maine at the age of 16, this was my first cd. Kevin is one of the last musicians out their that speaks his mind, and is not going to let his manager, or the wannabee labels tell him what to do or sing. He sing, and plays his music for his fans, and that is what I love about Kevin and his band.

Saw this band in the mid ninetes. Our Lady Peace rocked the house then Bush. As soon as Candlebox hit the stage all the girls were sitting on guys shoulders Topless. It was great the 90s were last great decade!
Damn I love candlebox!! This takes me back to being a teenager and I love the music then 😂 it won't never be the same again
I like yalls new song "Riptide". But yalls old stuff just brings back the best memories of my life. No other band did that. Thank you Casey for introducing me to Candlebox's music in 1994. ❤️
Reminds me of a good friend! I miss them!
Ha - me too.
1.2k people didn't get hugged enough as kids. Still a great song in 2020.
Kevin is one of the last musicians out their that speaks his mind, and is not going to let his manager, or the wannabee labels tell him what to do or sing. He sing, and plays his music for his fans, and that is what I love about Kevin and his band.
Love Love love 💯🤘❤️
This song is a masterpiece!!
This song hits feelz on a level beyond almost anything from the 90’s. Born in 85’ still alive. 🖤🎼✨
Thank God that the 90's happened or i'd have a shit load of shitty music on my phone
Music these days makes me very sad indeed
demolazer you just dont know where to look
no kidding. Still true!
When music meant something and you paid for a CD, a generation lost, you can't be an artist and make money these days
you can still do that, just fill it with Nirvana and Pearl Jam
Hands down favorite song by these guys. Severely underrated
whoever puts thumbs down obviously doesn't know anything about good "real" music
Jason Lenzer probably some 15yr old with his pants hanging off his butt
SLAYER is good music
Glenn Miller and his orchestra is good music
Iron Maiden is good music
Patsy Cline is good music
Candlebox is....ok
@@atheistconservative6211

They have not a clue
@@atheistconservative6211 Then why are you here listening to OK music. I admit Candlebox sucks live but this song is more than OK with me .

You won't find modern music with this much power emotions and drive anywhere.
Absolutely!! Love these guys!
Hello Priscilla, how are you doing and how is the weather with you
Who's still feeling this in March 2021?!
So many great tunes, this might be my favorite of so many favorite Candlebox legendary classics!!!
