You reap what you sow, Artyom. Force answers force, war breeds war, and death only brings death. To break this vicious circle one must do more than just act without any thought or doubt.
@@lucashallo4760 if we are going to rate scary games top would be silent hill or dead space bottom would be cod zombies this was definitely right in the middle especially with the librarians
i am russian, this game is kinda native for me. I was replaying this game on spartan hardcore, so there was maximal feeling of the game. When i was in the church i heard dialogues in a clear russian language. This church theme sounds like a pre-death pray. And those feeling when u are sitting in a church, hear dialogues about how the world was dying... It looks like a pray for all people who died and like a final days of the world, where all the people will die in agony from acute radiation sindrom, hunger or something else. U feel that there is nothing alive outside the hermetic door in church... But it happens only if u swipe out those fact that there are safe places and humanity survived not only in Moscow and the world is stable. Not good, but people are surviving, there are new forms of life and it is not the end. It was like an awake pf my melancholy, those moment in church...
Played the whole series numerous times but can never forget the indescribable feeling of this & many other scenes of the metro games. Come back to relistening to this holy gem every once in a while to experience it again just for a moment.
I finally figured out what they’re singing! It’s a modification of Chesnokov’s Let My Prayer Arise, aka Psalm 140 (141) Here’s another version ua-cam.com/video/jtBqH-atYxQ/v-deo.html
Spoilers for Metro 2033 In the ending of the game, if you don't get enough moral points you don't have a choice to destroy the missile guidance system. You wake up too late after the psychic 'battle' or whatever, but that doesn't that mean the Dark Ones inadvertently caused their own destruction by knocking you out? Since this ending is canonical, that also applies in the canon.

Just like the war
In a world where there is nothing else to relish, a man can only take solace in his faith.

Beuh
adding on to this it seems that this Metro song I think is in Ab Minor, so looking at Pavel's Song its 2 semitones higher than this

Become orthodox, it’ll change everything for the better
I've never been compelled to pray until I heard this song.
The best soundtrack in the franchise
I encourage everyone to attend an eastern orthodox mass at least once. Just sit in the back and drink it in and be respectful.

@@rtyDFGaS That's not hardcore, that's just traditional. Why make it a competition.
They do badass singing cult like in this vid?
@Tartaristic maybe you could shut up.
Suffer and endure as god wants, we will survive in soul regardless of what is to come.
If you listen to all of Kahn's speech, it will actually give you good karma. You get a flash
Loved that bit he said with the music.
I was searching for that song :D. There is another song missing from the official soundtrack, a piano one that you can hear in D6 :O.
Which one is it? Mission level?

Rip developer, may the West be cursed.
Huh? What did the West do?
Is this made solely for the game or it's an actual Christian chant and if it is I want the name.
Its based off Chesnokov Op. 24-6 Let My Prayer Arise (Psalm 140 &1 41), its a modified version of that
