      Rocket Science you could do one on how to get the most power out of flicks, most power on hitting the ball, how dodges affect you in awkward aerials, dodging left while upside down for example.

      Hey Rocket Science, I have an example of something that you may have already covered but it's always been strange to me so I thought I'd bring it up to you and maybe it will be a video idea if it hasn't been covered already. If you go into free play and keep resetting the shot until you get the straight on kick off, then hold drive and boost until you make contact with the ball, the ball lands in different spots on the backboard. What causes this? Also, thanks for all the hard work that you put into your videos, keep it up man!

      This is all still accurate. The only changes are: there is a new hitbox (Merc) and the Batmobile is now part of the plank hitbox

      @@Auroraisvibing21 Rotating is the same, but due to lengths and widths being different it will affect how much rotation is possible before contacting the ball.
      The shortest and skinnier cars will be able to adjust in air more efficiently.

    They did touch the batmobile but received a lot of complaints but the biggest one was kuuxir who posted and reddit and complained how play has gotten significantly worse since the batmobile change. So Psyonix reverted it.

      Gonna copy-paste this to everyone who says this:
      They made those car standardizations where the Batmobile was changed to be the same as Plank in Patch 1.35. Then, that was reverted in Patch 1.37 (as you said). But in Patch 1.39 they changed all cars including the Batmobile. So the car is neither the same as it was in 1.35, nor as it was in 1.37. So I don't see why they didn't update it with all other cars in 1.44.

    The responsiveness of stopping doesn't matter too much. Once you get used to a car, you'll be trained to let go of the stick at the right time.

    Remember when the psyonix devs stated every car was the same? Makes me not trust them regarding the heavy car bug issue. Could it be that heavy car bug is a algorithm kicking in when people make too many 'bad inputs' as to smoothen the gameplay for other players?

      Planks are suppose to be one of the best hitters in the game. Dominus hits are hella good for me as well.
      But there is no specific car that is suppose to hit harder or better, you just hit better with planks that's all

    I hugely appreciate you getting back to me for clarification.
    I still believe something very strange is going on that isn't actually covered on this fantastic video. The differences in real terms between the cars is indeed negligible (a matter of a few %, but having taken in everything on this video and having yet another long drive around in training with all the cars, I have a random theory, but I have no idea if it could ever be measured.
    If you cover primarily response, is it possible that there is another segment of "response", which is the handbrake responsiveness itself. With it being primarily this that gives the car its core "feel" when you are trying to tightly handbrake dribble with the ball. Here are some of my observations that may/may not be placebo / my visual perception.
    * The normal turning, as shown in this great video, does indeed feel relatively similar on all the major cars.
    * The handbrake turning when close/dribbling/faking certainly does not.
    * The Skyline and Dominus have relatively similar turning in regards to things in this video above. However, the close handbrake control/dribbling, they appear light-years apart to me. The skyline feels like a double decker bus compared to the Dominus. It feels somehow crippled by "something". It just feels like it wobbles ALL over the place 24/7 when trying to tightly dribble and fake opponents, etc.
    * The standard Octane to me appears to have vastly better/tighter/less wobbly handbrake dribbling control than the other octane cars such as Octane ZSR/Marauder/Takumi/Vulcan and so on.
    * The Batmobile feels INCREDIBLE for this close handbrake dribbling control. It just feels so damn tight. Perhaps the only car on the game that feels better for handbrake control than the standard Octane car. I believe this is why some very good pro players are beginning to actually "main" the Batmobile , instead of Octane. None of them have/will ever consider a plank shaped car.
    * The plank shaped cars, such as the Mantis / centio all completely lack this incredible handbrake/dribbling/control that the batmobile appears to have. Infact, to me, the plank shaped cars have barely better tight handbrake control than even the dominus.
    I'm not the best player around but I'm a typical 3500hours+ / GC player who absolutely loves this game and I feel quite convinced that something is going on! If you think that I'm talking rubbish then that is fine but just bringing it to your/other peoples attention might be the only way to find out if I'm going mad!
    It does seem that the meta is very much heavy octane with some batmobile, which are the two cars I feel have incredibly tight handbrake control when compared to the rest, but the dominus is "acceptable" in this way too, and has the added height over the batmobile for dribbling. The Skyline, other octane preset cars feel quite rubbish to me in this way, even octane cars like the takumi which are visually smaller than the default octane. The plank is very acceptable in this way but just has this horrible feel of a poor mans batmobile when it comes to dribbling/faking to me. The Batmobile and Octane (standard) just feel totally god-like for dribbling.
    In my own mind, this is why we haven't had any pro's even consider the octane ZSR, as even that feels pretty crap by comparison. It just doesn't feel anywhere near as snappy when handbraking to me.
    Sorry for the essay! Please try this out and tell me if I am going crazy?! :) Notice the additional "wobble" when trying to dribble with skyline or another random octane preset car? :)
    If i am not going crazy, is this why we pretty much never see any of the other preset cars ever used even after the diamond ranks ? Its certainly logical.

    What an absolutely fantastic video. Brilliant work as always!
    One thing I must ask, though. Does this mean the octane preset is the same as the octane? literally 100% ? I always feel that the responsiveness is much better on the octane than any of the octane-preset cars I use, such as the Marauder / Vulcan and such. Its the same difference which I have always observed between the Batmobile and the Plank.
    I know you may never see this but I would love to know for sure.

      It's all a visual illusion. As I said in Episode 8, all the physics of all cars with the same preset are 100% identical. The reason the Batmobile is different from the Planks is that it doesn't use the preset. The Batmobile is the only car in the game that doesn't use a preset and is therefore unique.

    Your pronunciation of batmobile is so cute ^_^ I did some research and it's the British pronunciation. Americans say it like "moble", rhymes with noble. I use the British version for separate words e.g. mobile phone. But when I make a compound word like automobile I use a long e sound, e.g "batmobeel", rhymes with banana peel. So I thought the way you said it was a bit funny.
    Basically English is a mess and you should just say things however you want :)

      Americans don't pronounce it like noble, at least not the majority. The more common would be as in your example, rhyming with peel.

      I don't think there's a "British pronunciation" for batmobile. As a Brit I've always pronounced it "batmobeel" and I've only ever heard automobile pronounced the same way.

    2-3% is quite a difference between the cars, but does it even have a perceivable effect in game? If I switch from Octane to Breakout for example, I don't notice any oversteer or the extra time it takes to complete a turn. I'm more worried about driving under the ball because it's so flat compared to the Octane xD
    You mentioned that collating/gathering the data for every possible speed is beyond your scope... What if you (or a fan) wrote a piece of code to automatically do this? Maybe accessing the car's speed within system memory and using a PWM signal to achieve a target speed? Getting the data is the hard part, visually presenting it should be easier though; a 3D plane is all you need. X is rad/s, Y is time, Z is car speed. Though comparing each class might get a bit messy.

      Although it would take me some time, the problem isn't in coding this. The reason I said that the problem is more complex than I thought at first glance is that mapping the entire space in the way you said, doesn't really provide you with much extra information beyond the anecdotal info I already provided. If you say start at max speed but stop boosting and after 0.5 seconds you're down to 2150 uu/s, the turning isn't the same as when you started at 2150 and stayed there while turning for 0.5 seconds.

    how is the batmobile the worst it actually feels like it has the best turning radius?!?!?!?! Sounds dumb cause it's the longest car but if you use it ingame it feels so much faster on turning then the octane

      I have to admit I'm more used to Octane but recently switched. I have such a hard time doing (turning) powershots with the Dominus because it turns so slow in the beginning and then picks up in speed. Octane is fantastic for that with its responsiveness.

    The turning changes between the takumi, takumi v2, octane, and Octane zbr all feel completely and uniquely different to me.

    I thought turn speed was affected by wheel base length but it's all just based on the hitbox?

      Not sure what you mean by wheel base length. It's dependent on mainly wheel positions but the physics of everything are 100% identical within the same preset. That's why I'm talking about Octane, Dominus, Hybrid, etc. Because not just the hitboxes have been standardized to 6 different presets, the wheels and turning for each is 100% identical.

    I believe Psyonix reverted the Batmobile physic adjustments and then left it alone around pre-anniversary update due to Kuxir and Fireburners comments about the feel of the car, placebo or not. Coreys replies are interesting around steering curves, it seems they used the Batmobile as the standard and adjusted the other cars around the batmobile. There were also some visual bugs at that time which caused some confusion.

      As I said in the video, they already changed the Batmobile in Patch 1.39 which was after that entire discussion and after they had reverted the Batmobile to its previous state. So the car is already different from exactly where it was "supposed to be" according to kuxir.

    I heard that they moved all the hitboxes forward for hybrid cars in patch 1.39 to accommodate the Skyline. I can't find much clarification on this, so the hybrid hitboxes in imgur.com/a/UXwju are wrong?

      I know that link says it's patch 1.39 but it doesn't seem to match info I'm hearing about the hybrid hitbox being moved forward.

      I don't understand what you mean. What isn't matching? They are accurate for everything but the Venom because Psyonix moved the !VISUAL! model of the Venom back to where it was in 1.38 relative to the hitbox, in the latest patch. And they mentioned it in the patch notes.

      I think I'm getting misinfo online. Some were saying they moved ALL the hybrid hitboxes forward to help the Skyline & Jager model match their hitbox, but that ended up hurting other hybrids, giving them an odd protruding hitbox on the front of the car, like the X Devil(Which doesn't make sense with that URL b/c the Xdevil hitbox visualization perfectly matches the front of the car there, & it it also seems like the Skyline's front is still protruding a lot in that URL) I think you're probably right though & I'm getting half truths from others online. TY for the quick reply.

      The Venom was the car that was hurt by it and not the x-devil, which is why the visual was specifically adjusted in 1.49. They went with a middle ground so it still doesn't match perfectly. What you saw online is not just wrong, it's relative information about the direction the hitbox was moved. You cannot make conclusions about the absolute position of the hitbox if you only have relative information. The hitbox could have been off by a mile and if they moved it a bit to make it align better it would still be off by a mile. That's obviously an insane example but I'm trying to make a point. You can't draw the conclusions you were trying to draw from the information that you had.

      I knew exactly what you mean about relative info when I commented. I knew me seeing the Skyline's front still protruding wasn't proof they didn't move the hitbox forward (b/c it could've been even worse b4). The main reason I thought the hybrids weren't updated in that URL was from misinfo about my car, the X Devil. Some were saying it's front hitbox was oddly protruding after the update, they were wrong though I guess. I was also surprised that most people were recommending the Skyline as a hybrid when it's front hitbox is still so odd & no one was recommending the Xdevil, which I think has a great hitbox visual.

    I have 33 hours on the game and im just finding out they have different hit boxes and stats, I assumed they were all the same for balance, otherwise it would not be fair ? especially since there aren't even any damn stats in the game XD i hate invisible stats. How can they have an Esport game where you can't even look at the damn stats of the vehicles?
