If dropshot is then why not heatseeker...? I liked his seasonal idea though. Change the modes every 3-6 months a little. I honestly had the most fun in knockout haha

Agreed. They should have some automation in the background that creates a random game mode and publishes that as limited time. That would be entertaining to have a truly random game mode. But the ones that prove themselves as actual entertainment, put that one.
I literally parked on the side of the road with my kid to watch this. You changed more than our heatseeker lives with this, my kid said “I finally made it” lol. But for real from all of us we love and appreciate you more than you know. It was an absolute blast filming and just chillin out. Definitely a very cool dude. I love heatseeker and sunlesskhan!

In Rocket League videos today, I saw a guy getting to GC with a piano keyboard,
and a bunch of heatseeker enthousiasts destroy a RLCS team.
My C1 lobby really feels like the abyss right now.
the piano gc got me motivated i got a 15 win streak to c3 div iv i won like 5 games in this div , my MMR was gc but the game refused to give it to me , the whole lobby had gc and even the team that lost , then i lost 3 games and the game put me at div 3 again
@@midorayo1149 the reason you didn’t get gc is because bakkesmod rounds up with its numbers so even though it showed 1435, it was something like 1434.8

This feels like the original vision of heatseeker. No camping in net until the ball is too fast, no demoing every 2 seconds, just teamwork and incredible shots.
100% heatseeker should be a permanent extra modes playlist or at least come back more often than it does. It's incredibly fun and now that I know you can do these types of plays I want to get in there and try it out. It could be beneficial for learning how to air roll better for regular soccar
Yeah it's an incredible game mode, it has helped me with backboard defence, like a year or two back it gave me the foundation for aerial skills. The only problem is that, there's always one who will non stop chase demos in that game mode
Absolutely. I wanted it to be a normal game mode for so long. Ever since I played it for the first time I thought why don't we get a ranked playlist for this and so many people agree but psyonix refuses to listen and give us what we want.
3v3 seems like the best way to play heatseaker. opens up the offensive possibilities so much more. 2v2 is boring.
but the only LTM that it's a crime isn't a full time game mode is gridiron.

The whole Rocket League community should be proud to have Sunless in it. From dirty casuals to RLCS pros. From rumble players to heatseeker. This man keeps uniting every human being who likes car soccer and showing what they do to an audience and we love it.
Heatseeker is the primary catalyst of my aerial and goal defense improvement over the past couple years
I only played ot when it first came out, but it really did elevate my fast aerials/defense
Yeah this gamemode is very beneficial for learning fast reads, quick aerials, better recoveries, and general defense. I really do hope it stays around more
Yep, when I first start “really” playing heat seeker was out, I legit could barely fly. I grinder it all week it was there and the next week back to ranked was able to aerial and score fairly consistently. I’m praying this becomes a permanent mode, super useful & fun.

Yeah people usually have shitty defense meanwhile I can save pretty much anything that goes in the net. The best mode in the game. I'd say even way more fun than the normal mode.

This is not only AWESOME (I never thought there was a whole community behind competitive heatseeker), but it could also be a huge practice for pros, hence them asking for another round probably. There's simply soo much to learn from this.

I only knew lydipai because in Anton's videos he was consistently at top 10 clips of the week and in every video Anton was like "lydipai back at it again with his wicked clips". They're absolute wizards.
Oh my wow... I had no idea that this skill level was possible in heatseeker. I've seen some amazingly impressive heatseeker plays before but those had nothing on these guys!

this is an amazing video (concept?) i mean sunless always makes great vids but wow, the community of this seems so cool, i love the motivation and dedication it takes for these people to come together and keep a gamemode alive that’s not even playable as a LTM for more than a couple weeks a year. what also fascinated and wowed me was the now obvious skill ceiling this game mode has! it’s crazy that these guys just obliterated a pro team like it was nothing. twice! i really hope psyonix adds this as a playable permanent gamemode because this would bring a whole new ceiling to this game

Damn! I sat there the whole video with the biggest grin on my face. Finally we see some "amateurs" destroying pros in one of the game modes. I thought the day wouldn't come but this just shows how much depth the heatseeker really has.
I don't do heatseeker a ton, but I would DEFINITELY love a ranked mode playlist for it. It's just a very fun alternative to regular gameplay.
What I most loved about this video is that the pros didn’t mind being HUMILIATED at all and went for another game!!! This shows that even though they’re pros and probably mildly expected to win, they still stayed humble and admired what the others did
I’ve always loved heatseeker and ever since it first came out I’ve wanted it to be a ranked playlist. I had no idea there was a whole community about it and now I have to check it out! But sidenote, I wonder if there is something similar with the knockout bash LTM? One of my favorite modes and I just wish they would bring it out more often :[

It’s always nice to see sub communities find other game modes that isn’t basic rocket league and turn it into something more. If the rlcs did a small tournament of the other modes it’ll be a nice change of pace. Those down times between the 3rd regionals and majors cud be a good way to shine light on communities like these. And also help repopulate the game modes. Also I agree with the seasonal game modes. Grind its rank mode and each time the skill ceiling will rise higher and higher. Communities like these is what make the game more and more appreciative

Nice video as always, but imo you should've mentioned the CBell video where two HS Pros (I think Lydipai and Bramble) destroyed Comm and two other pros in a 2v3.
I remember the first time I saw someone playing upfield and attempting redirects. I immediately spent every game doing my best to read for redirects, reading the backboard bounce, etc. Even just at champ level it elevates the game so much.
This heatseeker guy has such a calming voice, just sayin'.
I assumed it would've been way closer than the rumble one but I didn't think it was gonna be this one sided but it is super interesting and would love to see more
I love heatseeker and would play a ranked version of it all the time. I hope that becomes a reality.
Always loved heatseeker since it was introduced into rocket league. It is incredible that these heatseeker-ers have taken the game mode so far. When first playing, I did think it was also just a fun camping designed game to see how fast you could get the ball going before you couldn't save it. The feeling is always a feeling of awe when it reaches max speed.
I'm glad that people can play rocket league how they want to play it.
It would be great to see how long it would take a pro team to catch up to them and get even one day, but I don't see that happening.

Boostergold in 2020 was in this small streamer discord with me long ago along with Chriso. I remember playing heatseeker with chriso when that small streamer went live doing custom games. I stopped playing rocket league in 2021 but I knew boostergold was going at it when he hit the world record for most touches in heatseeker around 2020 to 2021. Im very glad to see him on Sunless video and hope they still remember little old me in those custom games 😂😂

This video is like taking Olympic runners and putting them against professional soccer (football) players. The runners may have the speed or stamina, but they have completely different skills required for what they do.
I have stopped playing RL 6 months ago. But your videos always gets me to go back to it.

This is just incredible. I actually think that freestylers that are not pros, would fit really well in this and i would like to see a 3v3 between the Heatseekersers and a freestyle team

You guys, who only play "normal" rocket league have no idea how painful it is to consider myself "heatseeker main" and be able to play my main mode only few days a year. Psyonix need to put it in extra modes for actual real and Im even down for some extra fields. Would spice up the stuff bramble and other crackheads can do!

Im glad these guys are getting recognition i joined the discord when there was far less players and im a big fan of heatseeker myself and i can honestly say when u have 3 of the best heatseeker players in a ranked heatseeker match (they have their own ranked system in the discord) u might finish the game with like 1 goal at most the ball stays pink for like majority of the game

This was easily my favourite RL video I've ever seen. I absolutely love Heatseeker and always gravitate to it when it's on rotation - but had no idea this community existed. I really hope Heatseeker gets it's own permanent fixture in ranked, that would be incredible. Tournament play as well! I'd 1000% watch a heatseeker tournament, and will be looking for the previous tournaments on UA-cam after watching this.

i love this game mode. it taught me aerial boost management as well as how to preflip and shoot at the same time. and it helped me with redirect skims
i would love to see the heatseekers against the same guys in a normal game, to see their ball prediction on this , could be very interristing too :D

Haven't played Rocket League in a couple years, but Heatseeker was my favourite mode. Won me quite a few 1v1 tourneys. My greatest moment was getting into a staredown with an opponent who had control of serving the ball but refused to budge. It went into overtime and lasted for -- no joke -- over 20 minutes of both of us just not moving. Eventually they got tired, blinked first, and I scored. I seem to recall I found myself on Boostergold's stream a few times, too. The RL player-base is beyond toxic, so I can't say I'm unhappy I left, but there are days when I miss good ol' Heatseeker.

When i first tried heatseeker, i just sat in net and there really was not any depth. After playing private matches against friends and actually utilising the midfield and playing offensively, it convinced me that it deffo needs a spot in extra modes.

Why do yall prefer heatseekers? What is it you love about the mode? I can kinda guess, but I would like to hear it in yalls words.
And also, what is the energy like in yalls community when RL actually has heatseeker playlist on? Is it a big deal? Do yall get super hype? Do yall absolutely smoke everyone on the playlist?
1. It was kinda a love at first sight moment. When the gamemode first came out, that's the best way to describe it.
2. The community gets super hype when an ltm comes out because it's a big deal. We don't get a public playlist often.

I love everything in this video. Heatseeker has been my favorite special mode along with boomer ever since it came out and I have always wanted a permanent heatseeker playlist in the special modes tab so I really hope this video inspires Psyonix to add that.
Being a heat-seeker lover myself I find that this video may end up having a HUGE impact on the community and brings a new light to what used to be limited time.
