I'm glad you like it. I have to confess I saw this technique in another UA-cam video, but the narrator was speaking in Russian. I just had to share it with my English-speaking audience.

I had the same problem with my yarn 30 minutes after I saw your video 🥴

I just finished a baby blanket with chunky (6) chenille yarn. I wondered if there are any recommended blocking techniques for this type of yarn? I am a beginner and think it would really help make the stitches look more consistent, but don’t want to ruin the beautiful fluffy softness of the yarn. Any input is greatly appreciated!!

I personally would never bother blocking anything made with this type of yarn. A few years ago, I was paid by a yarn company to make a throw from this same yarn. They didn't require or recommend I block it.
That said, the best way to make the stitches look more consistent is to practice a lot to get your tension consistent. I remember my hands getting pretty tired when working with this yarn, because it's so thick and the recommended hook size is also pretty large. In fact, the experience made me decide I never wanted to work with it again.

I have a young friend who is just learning to Crochetand using Chenille yarn. When she was trying to rip out some of her work she kept pulling on the loops until the center strands would show and then she would cut it. Could you do a video of how to unravel chenille yarn please? She lives far away from me so I am not able to show her this myself.

Great idea for a video. Thanks for the suggestion. Until I can get one filmed and published, though, my suggestion to your young friend would be to practice on medium #4 acrylic (not chenille) yarn. It's much sturdier and can stand up to being unraveled and reworked.

Did you complain to the yarn suppliers. I would if it happens again. Great tip though.
