i dont know if its because i use blender 3.5 but my fog doesnt behave the same at all. The Y rotation doesnt make mine more or less in volume (or the height whatever you wanna call it) with the colorramp. It literally just changes the color to black fog :( i did everything the same as you, could you maybe help me?
Have watched many tutorials on fog and this is by and large the best one. Could bear to slow down a bit but I'm a beginner and new to this but was able to pause and follow along. Definitely a much better render than I was getting before in Cycles as other tutorials are focused on Evee. Thanks.

if you keep it the simple 4 node way, and dont like the fog strands, you can just make the white part and black part on the side, and change the white to a darker gray so you can see better
Hello, in the new versions of Blender the mix rgb node was added to the mix node, to add the mix rgb node you have to add a mix node and then change where it says float to color ( i hope this was helpfull ) 🙃
thank you very much....but can i ask? there is nothing problem with the white fog...when i move one of the color ramp button to the right..its do the same thing like you...its on the right...but i need just rotate it,right..ok i got this..but when the white fog is on the right...there is another fog on the left that should be nothing there...its kinda grey fog..can you tell me how is this?
i made the fog bigger and moved my viewport camera inside of it and i can see it now, but it looks very weird and bad, not really sure how to describe. like a bunch of white triangles

Awesome video, I'm completely new to blender and don't currently have a rig, but I'm curious, how would someone go about animating the fog to have a rolling effect or a dispersion/evaporation effect? Can it be done in blender?
yes you can. If you want it simple you put a keyframe at the time you want the fog to begin rolling and then at the last keyframe just change the rotation of the fog from the mapping node.
You laughing throughout the tutorial makes this the best, it shows you love making these and you have a lot of fun!

It works... Kind of. I had to tweak the density VERY LOW like 0.0002 and the other values at an equal level. But very subtle.
