This is a perfect recording. The tenor line "All over the world, people wear whatever they dare" - absolutely amazing - so simple, so wild. I love these guys! Classic.
That's specifically the baritone's part with the soprano; you can tell by the timbre of his voice compared to the tenor singing the melody alternating with the alto.
Boy! This is what you'd call harmony. Clever lyrics and music, composed by the real group themselves. Amazing acapella group. Shame they don't tour much. Would love to see them live.
This is so good. Absolutely amazing! If you like this you should also listen to 'Naturally 7' another amazing vocal group. Everything is done by voice. Guitar solos and all.
Man crush on the bass is right! My vocal jazz group is doing this piece, and our bass can sing to the low c, and I believe down to the B/Bb as well. I get to sing the alto/tenor line, and I can barely keep it in in my head voice without going into falsetto. any advice on hitting high A's without so much difficulty? Luckily for me, there another tenor who can! love this song!!
Well you made this comment 6 years ago, but I just can’t resist answering even though you probably don’t wonder anymore. But just sing in falsetto, Edenroth does that all the time. And in many cases it’s probably preferable to sing in falsetto dynamicswise.
@WallDamus You're right when you say this band is so great, but for me other vocal bands are terrific : Rajaton from Finland and The Idea Of North of Australia, just watch for instance the duet Rajaton-The Real Group singing Chili Con Carne, it gives goosebumps and it's very funny too.
I am enjoying their music. My former choir used to sing their 'Chili Con Carne' and I enjoyed singing it.

Nico Harvey That was actually the Baritone singing that, hehe. Gotta love how deceptively difficult their notes can be for the respective parts.
isn't that the Soprano's part. . . . wait no its the Tenor and Soprano

Tiny Tim then who's singing the lowest part? That's the baritone's job, isn't it?
They have a bass dedicated to it. The baritone is midranged.

Then, if you haven't already, listen to his voice in Words - Live in Stockholm. Extraordinary!
It's so ... catchy. and so harmonized.

@MusicismyheartXO It's all those low C's and Db's ;P
@WallDamus best vocal group might be arguable, but I know a lot of people would agree with best blending... ;)
before them it was Singers Unlimited for me :)
Ya, good luck finding another contrabass with that low A. XD
I know that feel bro. That contra A...
Anders edenroth
As a gay man can you image how I feel??? :o)
@01234567898229 Estoy de acuerdo contigo! Es un sonido tan suavecito y dulcisimo!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MusicismyheartXO That makes you negative straight. So the man crush cancels out the straight and makes you kinda gay.
acapella in acapulco? a song about what you wear? clearly, they are refering to nudism.
Learning this in Vocal Jazz- So Excited (:!
