- In this video I will be showing you a really creeper farm that can give you a lot of gunpowder in a matter of hours. This creeper farm is very simple and doesn't require any cats or redstone!

Idk what ive did wrong bit its not lightlevel 0 im there so nothing is spawning

Quick addition : if you mistakrly make it in sawana and golem dosent spawn dont destroy it rather just tame cats and place in there they will scare the creaper and it will work even more efficiently if 10+ cats
IF YOU NEED HELP WITH THE 7 BLOCKS AWAY FROM THE FARM AT 3:49:
LaZ1en accidentally put 7 instead of 6. So build the walls after the 6th block away, or on the 7th block. Hope this helps!

i have a question: does i need to light up 100radius around this farm to prevent mob spawning?
Can this be built at the higher elevation and the creepers drop down instead? I wanna be able to see the creepers enter the kill chamber without harming rates. I just dont know what elevation. 48 + farm height?
This can be made at an higher elevation and I think rates would be slightly faster due to the time it would take the creepers to drop down and die
This is perfect cuz i am literally in the middle of snow biome where different biome are far away
works fine, i needed go higher and low my simulation range
if u follow the steps but it didnt work, try placing around 2 stacks of scaff folding, works for me

@@Shadow.1468 as long as it isnt in a biome where it is hot it will work (desert, mesa, savanna etc wont work) taiga will work

can someone help me? my farm is broken bad, i didn't change a single thing of the farm and now it doesn't spawn creepers, my chunk render distance is above 10, can someone tell me how to fix it?
I'm not clear how to place all those trap doors against each other like you do starting at 4:51; every time I try to place the next trapdoor moving out, it just activates the previous trapdoor.

should you light up any caves below the creeper farm? like underground or just the ones you can see from the surface
The scaffolding makes it so the spawning radius ends where the farm is, so i wouldnt think its necessary to light up underground caves as long as they arent too close to the surface

Quick question, do you HAVE to AFK for the farm to work? Because electriciry tariffs are very expensive where I live and I can't AFK for even an hour.
xD yes you have to AFK otherwise it dont work
The farm has to be loaded in some way to work
You can use bots to afk for you if you are in Java
bro how are you even playing minecraft and using a pc if you can't even use it for an hour 💀💀 and don't you use electricity for other things in your house like lightbulbs??? do you live for 30 minutes and sleep for 23 hours 30 minutes until you can live a normal life again???
It won't run if you're not logged in, but you can be running around and doing things if you want you don't have to be sitting idle in the AFK box, that's just more efficient is all.
mine doesnt work idk why i afk in the afk tower like 20 minutes more but when i check down i didnt see a thing
the video is a little wrong at 3:49 because the distance between the blocks you place and the center isnt 7 but 6 blocks. if you make it 7 blocks, the rest wont fit

Hey, it doesn’t work for me, can you show me your render distance settings ?
You have to change it to *NOT* see the ground but to *SEE* foundations of the farm

1. you cant see the ground that's for sure;
2. you MUST see the building itself (or else the mobs wont spawn)

then you will have less spaces for creepers to spawn and also itll take them longer to walk to the middle, making the farm slightly slower

They spawn either way, but its far more efficient to stand in the afk spot !
If you want to be effective while you not in the afk spot you'll have to manually found all caves around the farm and light em up. It's not that hard since caves became big and you can drop into them by just digging straight down

@kabir130 Try setting the render distance to 10 chunks and afking for 5 minutes to check the rates. If rates are lower than expected slowly increase the render 2 chunks at a time. Simulation distance shouldn't have much to do with this, just leave it around 5. Hope this helps.

When I afk in the afk spot for the creeper farm for around 5 - 10 minutes it works properly. But when I afk for around 30 minutes only 2 -3 creepers are there at the killing spot.
(Btw I have replaced the campfire with slabs for xp. Is it because it is not working?)

After some days snow golems despawn
Was your farm built in a desert or a savannah biome? After a while snow golems will "melt" in these hotter biomes.
skeletons are spawning and killing the snow golems

it is optional but without it your farm will be very slow. Being that high up essentially makes your far the only place mobs can spawn

@@Reaper1561 it should work, keep in mind, you'd have to light most of the caves that are near to it, also you'll have to lower your afk platform (currentHeight - howDeepUndergroundWillYouBuildIt)

it can be but all unlit caves will slow down the farm, the box in the sky saves you the hassle of torching up all your surrounding caves
