    The way down the waterfall is more challenging and scarier

    Thank you so much for posting this video!!! I'll be going to Colorado next week, and Sky Pond is on my list of ones to do. This video was so amazingly comprehensive and was just what I was looking for so that I could know what to expect and such. Thank you!!

    Rocky Mountain NP is amazing. I live in Austin, and I can get a cheap Denver flights and be in the mountains in about four to five hours. It's the perfect quick getaway. Thanks for sharing!

      Oh that's awesome! You are lucky to have an easy commute option! Occasionally flights aren't too bad from Pittsburgh, but we don't get out to CO as often as we'd like!

    Great video, thanks for sharing! We won't be able to snag passes into the park until the day before our planned hiking day - so hoping we can get our hands on some.

    Thanks! Amazing video. I also did the hike to Lake of Glass in April 2022. It was extremely windy 40 MPH Gust and I was completely alone (Which I enjoyed). The Lake of Glass is even more beautiful when it is completely frozen. I plain to come next year too. Thanks!

    Yes for the traction devices but don't get the Yeti cause they break easily

    Steph, thank you for posting the best walkthrough video of Sky Pond (better than the last 30 videos i've viewed). Can you confirm that you had cellular phone reception throughout the entire sky pond hike? You mentioned GPS and I'm wondering if you used a Garmen device or your phone. Thanks in advance!

    • @TravelSzN
      @TravelSzN  Рік тому

      Hello! thanks for your comment! I barely had any cell service on this hike. I had the gps route for the hike downloaded on my phone before I began the hike. I had Verizon coverage and only had 1 bar at one little open area about 1/3 of the way up the hike.

    Is this close to where the hiker got lost and fell below McHenry’s Peak recently?

    • @TravelSzN
      @TravelSzN  28 днів тому

      I believe his body was recovered near Longs Peak - just a few ridges east from this area.

    Don't do this hike! If you wanted to do the MOST crowded hike in the park - then go here. There are so many other gorgeous hikes in the park to do.

    • @TravelSzN
      @TravelSzN  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts Margie - it wasn't crowded at all once I got up to Lake of Glass. I think a lot of people turned around at the snow fields.

      Wrong a lot less people go to Sky Pond then Emerald Lake but that's why you need reservations

      Only better hike is Chasm Lake
