Thomas does the driving and mood stabilizer. Andrew does the cooking, bushcraft, and botany tour guide. Robby does the moderating and comic relief. Brian does the self-reflection.
I worked in Yellowstone for three summers. And the same thing holds true up there. Even though it is a Massively visited park. You hike a mile out from any of the main area's, and your alone, or with other back packers and real day hikers. And yes Rocky Mountain National Park is beautiful in its own right.
Live near Yosemite for 5 months for seasonal work, and I'd do the same, especially during peak tourist months. Loved just hiking deep into the forest and no one around.
You guys just do a phenomenal job! The scenery, music, information about plants and fungi, the fun camaraderie…. I just love your videos! Stellar job guys, thanks so much! 😊❤
"Where's that water coming from and how come it never runs out." Yes! I feel seen. I was always too scared to ask that lest I sounded like an idiot. Thank you Robby. Your candor + humility will not go unoticed. 😅 Edit: We all know where it comes from but there's barely any snow caps on the mountain. 😮
Good to see you guys together again, tho Bryan was not with you. I Enjoyed watching this new video. Beautiful Lakes, mountains, amazing view. Thank you guys.
Thomas, go to The Stanley Hotel for Halloween sometime for the Devotchka concert. It's the best Halloween ever. I camp in RMNP for my birthday every September. It's a great time to be there. Thanks for sharing!
I've watched your content for a few years now and always love seeing the adventures! I was born and raised in the rocky mountain west, and it's always fascinating and enjoyable to (re) view the western mountains through the lens of others. It's a great reminder of how amazing things are and how we can become complacent in the face of things in our back yards that are actually amazing. I think this is true of anyplace, and I love that you've explored all across the globe. I love seeing the hikes in the midwest, eastern U.S., Japan, etc. just as much. All places have their magic, so thank you for bringing this to us viewers in such quality videography, discussion, and appreciation for what that place provides!
After entertaining an out of town guest for 3 days, driving all over town, so nice to just sit in front of my laptop to enjoy a new episode of Adventure Archives. Have Thomas do the driving, and having funny conversation with Andrew. Watching beautiful scenery capture by a skill cinematographer - Robby, what a treat. Your videos are relaxing and AMAZING as always. Thank you guys! Please tell Bryan we say hi, and looking forward to more new episodes.
Thanks for the memory .. my daughter and I hiked RMNP in the summers for years when she was growing up… hope to see you made it up Longs Peak.. we made it halfway to Chasm Lake .. loved the scenery!
Y’all made my day … this is one of my Favorite places ..my last trip out I went in 2021 for my 50th birthday it was my first big solo hike I wanted to climb Longs but June was to early I did make it to boulder field tho before I made the hard decision to turn back .. great memories Thank you ❣️🦋
Great vid! I love the term 'get backable'! and I am thinking my new saying is "friends take friends on acclimation hikes'... you all know how to do a dayhike😻
I was in Colorado for 2 1/2 months this summer. I did this trail just a couple weeks ago! It's an amazing state with so much to offer. Did 3 14ers (Sherman, Bierstadt, Evans/BlueSky) over my stay there. Would love to see ya'll tackle some of these easier ones in the near future, been almost 7 years since Mt Whitney.
Love watching everything you guys do, but this one touched my heart grew up near RMNP and love it. I use a walker now and live far away in South Carolina but brings back my youth. Cities change but the wilderness of the park seems so similar. Thank you☺️☺️☺️
Been to RMNP at least 10 times, and usually take friends and family to Nymph/Dream/Emerald Lakes or Haiyaha, or up to Sky Pond, one of my favorite hikes anywhere. After that, Alluvial Fan is always a nice short stop and then up to 12,005' at the visitors center at the top of trail ridge road. Glad you guys hit some of my favorite spots
I love how excited everyone was about their sandwhiches lol. You guys inspire me to not only get outside but keep up with my friendships even when life feels like its getting in the way, because good friends are worth it!
I am a new subscriber. I stumbled upon your channel when watching your Lost River wilderness hike. Here in Idaho, we have the Frank Church Wilderness, near the Lost River Range of mountains, and I thought, initially you were in Idaho. In watching this episode, in Rocky Mountain National Park, I became familiar with Andrew. What I have discovered personally in traveling in a group of 3 in Europe, is that each person will have their strong points. Mine was a different type of travel, but I have noticed your little group of 3 is the same in differing strengths. One is the gourmet who keeps everyone on task by cracking the whip on occasion (figuratively). The next does great photography and narration, with philosophy thrown in, and the next person is an awesome plant person, who could keep you fed in a pinch. I love plants and learning which are edible, so keep it up please. I enjoy the shorter 30 minute ish videos. Thanks for beautiful, and entertaining content.
Robby’s sunglasses were the bomb! 😂 Seriously, such a beautiful area to go hiking. It makes my husband long for the Eastern Sierras where he grew up. Thanks for sharing your adventures
Yay! Rocky Mountain National Park!! Dude, I cannot handle Trail Ridge Road.I am such a scaredy cat! If there was a guard rail I would feel a million times better.

Best thing to wake up to - favorite channel drops a vlog. This is a great hike. I’m visiting the Rocky Mountains soon and I will definitely add this hike on my list. Thanks 🙏 guys.
Thomas is such a dad I love it. Also, such a great video and so funny because I did basically this exact hike along with the drive up the ridge to the same viewpoints all on the same day.
Yaaaaaayyyy! Thank you so much for the fix. I just love you guys so hard! I'm unable to go and do, so watching your most excellent videos truly lifts me up! I watch other adventure channels but for many, many reasons, AA is my fave, hands down. ❤❤❤ ❤
What an awesome day trip, you guys got to see quite a bit! Such a beautiful area, looking forward to getting back there myself. Can't wait for your next adventure!
Knowing what I know about the Bear Lake trailhead, it seems that leaving after the sun was up might not be early enough. 🙂People love that trail for a good reason. It is an absolutely gorgeous hike!
Thank you! Great video. Also thank you for the great music in the last segments of the video! I suspect it is Venezuelan Harp but also could be Paraguayan Harp or something else altogether? Thanks again for sharing your Adventures!
Great park and hike. Do note that Bear, Dream, and Emerald Lake require an entry permit to enter from a specific time. Before 5AM and you don't need one, that's how I did it. Great hike, just overcrowded as it's advertised as the staple hike to do.
Wow! An amazing posts! Thanks for zooming in on the mountains and cliffs. As a Colorado native from west of Denver I've never been to RMNP or hiked there so I really enjoyed your video!
Amazing day trip!! You guys packed so much of a great park into a relatively short amount of time. Rocky Mountain has alluded me over the years but I hope to make it there next summer 💜
We were just there last week. You did some of the same hiking my wife and i did. We were able to traverse the Fall River Road...worthwhile. We struggled to see the elk..more later in the evening when i returned to the park with camera. Enjoyed the video.
Love this!! We just got back from RMNP. We did the Bear/Nymph/Dream/Emerald lakes loop hike then hiked to iconic Bierstadt Lake, which was so amazing! Best part was the solitude. We stayed couple nights at the Stanley, drove Trail Ridge Rd as well as Old Fall River rd, incredible!! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures! I’m always giddy when I see you drop a new vid ;-) ❤
If you're in Colorado look into the Lockwood foundation.. they bring folks with disabilities up on hikes and 14rs. Also I have seen plenty of wheelchairs on bear lake trail
that is one reason why i love videos like this: i'll prob'ly never go to this area but i enjoy watching and seeing the hike through the experience of others. Thanks so much AA for sharing your adventures😻
This is the first video I've ever seen from you guys and I really enjoyed it. Definitely entertaining and educational. I especially enjoyed learning about the plants. Thank you for all your hard work you put into the videos.
When I was up hiking that way earlier this year, the trails back to Lake Hiyaha were still closed from a rockslide & avalanche from IIRC 2021. It's still on my to-do hike list but the others are always fun! Love seeing the sights I enjoy every time I travel to RMNP.
Always a thrill to see you guys out enjoying nature and sharing it with us. Was so happy to see even a short video of your adventure. Keep them coming, it'll be cold soon and your videos will help us get though the next two seasons. Stay safe and happy adventures.

Rocky Mountain National Park, I know it well. I've hiked around Bear Lake a few times, and have hiked other trails. Its a wonderful park. And Estes Park Colorado, is a neat little town. Looks like you guys had a great day.

Thomas is a absolute CHAMP
Robby does the excellent cinematography too. 👍🏻
What a nice surprise, huzzah !!

Tremendous video, guys. 30+ years ago I did this park maybe 5 or 6 times and I was reliving those trips. Great job!
What a mountain range, this is brilliant cinematography bud. Everything here is done masterfully! 👏

Good information on puff balls from Andrew. But I'm going to pass on picking any mushrooms and eating them out on trail.
Wow, what an awesome surprise episode, that was awesome, nice to see Andrew get a taste of the Colorado rockies, you guys rock!
