Estes Park is the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, and it’s one of the most popular mountain towns in Colorado. There is so much to see and do in Estes Park, Colorado. In this one-day travel guide, I’ll share with you some of the best things to do, eat and see in Estes Park. We’re exploring downtown Este Park, riding an aerial tramway to over 8700ft of elevation, kayaking on Lake Estes, cruising down a mountain on an alpine coaster, driving the oldest scenic byway in Colorado to see a chapel on the rocks, checking out a local brewery and enjoyed some world-famous burgers. Estes Park is a full of dramatic scenery and attractions and a perfect little town to spend a full day exploring in Colorado. And since it’s only a 1.5-hour drive from Denver makes it even easier to enjoy a day trip to. Follow along as I share with you my complete one-day travel guide to Estes Park, Colorado.

A favorite place for me many years ago! I did enjoy the tram ride and riverwalk back in the 80's. We were staying at a camp and helped build a cabin. Good memories 😉

I went to Estes Park last year and it was an amazing experience. I'm from the Midwest so it was completely exhilarating.
I absolutely LOVE Estes Park. It is so beautiful and a fun place! I’m going in a few weeks and cannot wait! A fun little shop my family likes to go to is called Laura’s. It sells ice cream, caramel apples, fudge, and SO MUCH MORE!It is so good and I definitely recommend it!

I believe we saw the alpine coaster being built when we were there April 2021. I think it’s owned by the same company where we did horseback riding in Estes Park, which is another fun thing to do there! We had beautiful views on our trail ride. 💕
Horseback riding would be so fun and I'm sure it was a beautiful ride! Yes, the coaster hasn't been open for long.

You were lucky to ride the Aerial Tramway before it closed! Such a shame that the family can't run it anymore. As of February 2023, no concrete plans to re-open. But everything else you did looks so fun--I can't wait to go!
Oh no!! I haven't heard that news yet. That's so sad. Well, fingerscrossed someone will be able to open it up again. It's such a gem.

Thanks for these tips! We just stopped at the Daily Donut and their donuts are amazing! The manager was super friendly and they just started a few months ago and are building their business. It’s well worth a visit!

I miss Estes Park. I lived in NoCo my whole life. My wife and I recently moved to Maui to be with her family and it’s beautiful here but I miss the mountains.
We spent the entire day there yesterday.... drove to Stanley hotel also...

I've been to Estes Park many dozens of times and never saw the river that high.

• No bell ringing at Chapel on the Rocks
Tramway is reopening under a new owner, I believe.

I love that the nativism is dead in Colorado. Used to be no one at all wanted to admit they were just visiting or are here for the first time. Sure, it's changed, but in many ways has grown up.
Between tacos, fries, beer, burgers, soda, pizza, & cake which 2 would you eliminate forever? I am eliminate tacos and beer.

Oh there's tons of wildlife, however they wander all over and sometimes tricky to find.
Just went to Penelope's. Based on this review and the price ($50 for 2) I expected much more. If this is the best burger in town I sure don't want to find the worst one.
I didn't say it was the best in town! There are so many places in Estes to choose from!

Not rough to me and yes fast.
Chapple on the rock is on a meteor, and has survived floods and fire with out damaged. The pope has bless the Chapple as well

@Jeanie Marie the owner died back in the 90s, and his son took over and passed 2023, they want to sell it to someone to keep it running but they think just to sell everything is a better choice if no one wants to run it.

Donut Haus is way better.
We actually had a hard time finding them and then realized they were in a gas station. We definitely want to try them next time! But The Daily Donut was EXCELLENT!
@@JeanieMarie I wish I got the level of quality at daily donut in your video but sadly It was sub par when I went. Haus on the other hand has incredible blueberry and applesauce donuts.
