it’s crazy how well toby’s acting and facial expressions are, and how they were so well translated in the movie. it’s absolutely insane
Us humans are 99 DNA to them
98, actually@@nicolasimpkins3640
@@nicolasimpkins3640literally has nothing to do with anything he said🤣🤣
The angry face of Koba is pretty scary looking to say the least!
Haha yeah never knew bonobos can be scary
Just saw the movie
Ikr
The attention to detail, such as the anatomically correct neck muscle tensing, and raspberry blowing are what made this movie so great and believable. Even people who don't know what you're talking about when referring to such details will pick up on them subconsciously and simply say "this looks fake" and the suspension of disbelief is lost... Excellent job by the filmmakers on this one.
One of the reasons why this franchise are my favorite movies. All the actors are great! They gave the apes character and the whole team who made ever ape come to life and let us believe that they used real apes! Even if we know they aren’t real.
Who old are you know?
Now imagine that games will look like this movie in less than 15 years.
Well there's a planet of the apes game coming out soon, so I've heard. Let's see if it will look even closely as good.
yeah
The problem with video games isn't the technology. We can basically get photorealism if we want it. The problem is the actual man hours that it would take to design a game with the integrity to honor that photorealism. And if you let players make their own choices, the amount of effort it would take to make sure the player never shatters that realism would be enormous. Think clipping textures, players moving against hard surfaces, etc. We can do it, but it wouldn't be worth it because games aren't designed as perfectly as they would look, and that alone shatters the illusion.
It's amazing already
Doubtful.
The final renders in the film took weeks (if not longer) to accomplish utilizing rooms of supercomputers working around the clock to crunch it out. To do such calculation in real time would require a degree of such computational power that fifteen years wouldn’t even come close to achieving.
Tbh, such a level of fidelity isn’t really necessary for gaming. The reason they strive for such detail is that without it, the entire foundation of the film would be compromised. Not so with gaming. People play for gameplay, and the economic and labor investment simply isn’t worth it.
These actors are in the zone when they work. Such professionals.
Andy Serkis is so f... badass.
Fun Fact: The actor who did motion capture for cesar is the same actor who did motion capture for Gollum in lord of the rings and the hobbit.
I thought that was known.
everybody knows that dumbass
Everybody knows who Andy Serkis is.
And 2005 King Kong
whoa seriously?????????????????????????????????????
I heard the movie was amazing from both critics and fans. really want to see it even more now
I really wish l can be motion captured into my own ape character
You’ve probably already seen it since this comment, but yes this movie is absolutely brilliant.
ive watched n rewatched Rise & Dawn..and they never failed to amaze me. what an amazing movie production indeed!! and knowing how challenging for each and every one in d set/production - all i can say, its a job very well.done!!

Toby's Interpretation Absolutely Remarkable ✨
I hope I'm still alive by the time games would look so real like this. that'd be awesome xD
serpantseed08 Well there are already some games that emphasize on highly believable character models, such as L.A. Noire's facial expressions or Enslaved and DmC whose motion capture is amazingly well-done.
Fun fact: Andy Serkis also did the motion capture in Enslaved :)
I think we are getting fairly close about now. Another year or two.
Just do you still alive now?
If you live the next 5 years. You should see it.
I mean, that unreal matrix demo is pretty darn close.
That scene was so good. Best CGI ive seen so far. I usually hate it.
I have to say this movie was amazing, excellent story and mind blowing ape performances. HUMAN LIES!!!
Videos like this make me realize how much I love movies. Makes me all tingly inside.
The actors playing humans are amazing for being able to hold in their laughs
It’s not like they have to get it perfect every time. I’m sure they had to cut out plenty of moments where they laughed
that was a good fucking movie better than the avengers age of fucktron
***** Agreed!
***** dude ..no need to compare movies dumb ass. .you will propably taste your own medicine if some director make a better movie than this an some douchebag like you comes and says that planet of the apes are no that great.
+DiamondWolf Shitty taste in movies xD
***** Yea it just happens that my taste is way better lol
***** Good luck in life with your shit taste in movies
Amazing stuff, great behind the scenes!
The original planet of the apes costumes were in my opinion the most terrifying thing in the movie
So real. They pushed the bar to the max. Unbelievable close up shots. Well done weta
The movie was amazing, love seeing the behind the scenes
Andy serkis is legend
Spectacular breakthrough in visual effects.
bring back these videos!
This prequel series came out in my teenage years, though I only saw "Dawn" in theaters, I only finally watched "War" now that the new one is coming out, but this series has stayed with me so hard and it's such an amazing honor to see it return, hopefully for another series now that I'm more grown up!
omg i love the detail, i really appreciate it
1:31 Stallone played Koba
loolllll
Now there's an idea for the lion king remake.
Absolutely masterpiece
Really good detail
excellent performance
I lost it at the raspberry part.
Mike Seymour's videos are the best in my opinion. Definitely better than Angry Nerd's.
Hey thanks - I appreciate the post and the support - mike
This was definatly one of the best -- if not the best -- movies I've seen all year
Andy Serkis role in black panther was better played then the whole movie
I wish they will make a video game of this

Amazing. :)
WOWWW mind blown
Damn good movie indeed
I Watched This One When I Was Young
Very inspired
I think that motion capture actors are better than normal actors....
I love this Thumbnail
Wow. Just wow
I’m having back problems just watching these actors act like apes. Lol
I just notice he is the same guy on unreal engine 4 facial demo
I wonder how much time, Money and effort it took them to make this trilogy
How tf can this be so realistic
Still need to watch the last movie. I really don't know why I haven't gotten around to it yet. I liked the first one and loved the second one. I might watch it today :)
War is my favorite, but don't go in expecting a ton of action. It's a lot like Apocalypse Now, in that it's a slow burn and character driven story set during a war. Don't get me wrong, there is action, but is less than what most expected there to be and some people like my brother felt that they were misled. Anywho, like I said it's my favorite of the trilogy.
I don’t understand, why didn’t ChrisGordon comeback as Koba since he did an amazing role as him in the first film, and he would’ve done a great job at voicing Koba as well?
Im still wondering when will king kong will start to show up...
I wish kopa back in the war rise of the planet 2017, he's good.
Heart Throbs his name is koba
my fa8vourate movies
What you do, Interested me
How many are the prices ( This device/ On your face?) Where i can buy)) Thank you
LOL
Mike Seymour? The friend of Zap Anderson, right?
I had to see how the humans learn to walk like a orangutan. Great movie!!
I wish the survivor actors were as good as the ape actors lol. I didn't buy anyone's role except for Malcolm.
Gary Oldman was fantastic as usual.
wait, they use real horses?
Last one in series was
My objective is installation of 2*10^(46) watt solar panel
Caeser and Koba kinda look like their counterparts
Thought they used makeup tbh...but I change my mind so this is how it’s so realistic cuz if they used makeup it would take forever o.O
Caesar- speaks,fight,and a father
Maurice- orangutan,teach advice
Koba- scratch on face, angry of human
Rocket- Booom hahaha
Adventure of a Lifetime, anyone?
Nice
2:36 Lol I know that guy
"Near-Shakespearian"?? This is BETTER THAN SHAKESPEARE. And it shouldn't be surprising. It's 400 years later.
POV: you returned to monke
Meanwhile steppenwolf took his first step
좋아요😊😀😀☺😄😃😊😀

Wow
WETA are the best IMO

Oh for god's sake, can I get ONE UA-cam video without dumb haters on here? Seriously, you make over-zealous fans look CIVILISED and that's saying something.
+The Josnei You do know that this is an old comment right?
Am I the only one who thought they actually trained monkeys for this role
rasberry pelp
I love you
How do they remove the real actor at 3:52 ?
zrylux I think they probably film the scene twice, once filming the actors acting and another time just getting the footage of the environment without the actor.
+zrylux there's a variety of techniques to paint objects out. Although for something that big it probably involved partially reconstruction the scene in 3d to do it.
Rise koba ❤❤❤❤
Hail Caesar!
hail hydra
My God ❤️ 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
