Awesome! I'm 53. Been listening to metal all my life... still makes me cry! So good to see young people appreciate music. Has always made me feel alive....🖤🤘🏻
chernebog07 I don't doubt that he did write a lot... often wondered without researching... but that said you have to admit "To Live is to Die" is nowhere CLOSE to having the chording/phrasing/orchestration as "Orion", so yeah. Comparatively boring.
Cliff had the classical training to complement Kirk's "melodic" playing, but also the stones to keep Lars and James in check. They've had some good stuff since those days, but back then their songwriting was on another level. R.I.P. Cliff!
You are such a beautiful person for doing this. I'm 47 years old, and I remember my mom getting this album for me. I still get those chills after listening to that song. It will never get old.
A lot of people question why anyone would enjoy a reaction video, but this is a shining example of what it's all about: getting to witness someone else sharing their genuine thoughts about something you love and appreciating it the same way you do, like sharing a favorite restaurant with a friend or Introducing a friend to a new pet. It warms your heart and affirms your feelings towards whatever is being shared. That's why I watch these.
"Nothing Else Matters" would probably evoke similar emotions. Missing his girlfriend while on tour, Hetfield was talking to her on the phone and was one hand strumming the E minor chords while he talked. He later turned it into a song in which he never intended to be released as he had written it for himself. Lars (drummer) heard it and convinced Hetfield to release it on their next album. One of their "milder" songs but very powerful.
Just to be pedantic, not E minor chord, just the open strings. I imagine he had his left hand holding the phone while idly plucking the open strings with his right, hence creating the opening of Nothing else matters.
The open strings that he was strumming (E, B and G) are the notes in an E minor chord, in other words an E minor arpeggio. So he's not wrong in saying Hetfield was strumming an E minor chord, it's just that it was arpeggiated.
I was going from memory of what I read when I researched the song. Sounds like you two play guitar. I always wanted to learn but I could never get around to it. I have great respect for those who do play.
No one makes songs like this anymore. Period. Nothing corny about someone being deep enough to be moved by a song with no words. Music does that, it's a blessing. Life would be a cold desolate place without music.
So many people have misconceptions about metal music, they think its all about anger and they have no idea the heart and soul that goes into it. Nothing wrong with shedding some tears when a piece of music moves you, and if you want some more emotional Metallica listen to The Day That Never Comes live from Quebec Magnetic. Very powerful.
A better way to describe metal...good metal at least, is emotion. Sometimes that emotion is anger and aggression, yes. Ok, a lot of times it is. But then there are those times when it isn't so representative of the darker side of human feelings, but is rather something else. Something almost...I don't know, is magical too much of a word to use?
I watched several of your other reaction videos and was honestly not sure what to think, but when Orion brought a black girl unfamiliar with Metallica to tears....I felt it was a very genuine reaction and a good analysis of the song. It is very moving and sadly Cliff Burton has passed RIP. You just gained a Subscriber and I am eager to hear more of your thoughts on any future songs. It was not a corny or embarrassing reaction but a genuine reaction, LOVED IT. Peace be with you and good luck with the channel.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful reaction to a metal song. This completely blows my mind as to how beautiful we all are inside. You maam are a wonderful person. From an old white dude who's always listening to metal and funk you make me feel good for expanding my musical horizons.
I have never heard someone say that the guitars are actually singing and filling the role of the vocals. That is such a spot-on and insightful interpretation which definitely fits this song especially the middle section. Nice job.
When I heard this album other blacks harrassed me for listening to metal. Your reaction in the video was what I felt in 1987. Metallica is still my favorite band today. Welcome to the real side of music... this band makes music that connects to the soul.
You definitely wasn't the only one! I knew a nice bit that loved Metallica back then. Honestly, they had no choice but to be introduced to Metallica, if they wanted a ride in my car.
Back in the 90s I was a diesel mechanic. One of the black drivers I saw from time to time had broken down. When I got out of the service truck he had his feet kicked up on the dash and was jamming to Maiden!. I fixed his truck and we talked about 1/2 an hour about who we had seen and wanted to see. Metal knows no color.
@Hans That's not true, and a quite dickish response. Generally, they wanna seperate from the norm (clothes, slang, walk, etc). And if they wanna conform, that makes me happy! Still don't understand? How about you grab a history book. That history book doesn't go very far back either! And don't even mention the Barbary Slave Trade either. I'm Irish and I know my history (and it's fkd up). Everyone handles their history different.
So did Jimmi Hendrix... He made music that connects with the soul... That would've been my argument to them, if I were in your shoes at that time, lol... what are they gonna say? Fuck Hendrix too? nah they wouldn't. Rock isn't about the color of your skin... Glad people are finally realizing it... Tho it did take a long time.
Liz # - You should check out La Villa Strangiato by Rush. It was a big influence on Metallica writing tunes like this. The emotion, the dynamics, it's just a hell of a ride.
This comment will get lost among so many others but still wanted to thank you for bringing me back to the day I first entered to that record store I put the headphones on and selected the big red and yellow label that read: Listen to the latest from Metallica! I was so moved by the sheer beauty of Orion and your reaction brought me back to that day. So just that. Thank you.
Young Lady I have been listening to that band since 1983. You see they were the soundtrack to my teen years and beyond. To see you boldly "jump in the fire" with no expectations and react the way you did was amazing. Thanx for your honesty in being a fan. Keep it heavy. Dave Medina San Antonio, Texas
Just to let you know 2:00, 3:20, 5:37, and 10:40 are mostly or entirely played on bass Cliff Burton was truly a magician and this song is truly a masterpiece. Also, I know another really emotional instrumental song called Metallica - To Live is To Die that song takes you on an emotional journey.
You totally “get it”. Thank you for being so open minded and appreciative of great music. This truly is music for the soul. I get lost in Metallica’s music.
Anyone that thinks your metal journey is "over" has never found more than tears and beauty in Orion. Everything is there. EVERYTHING. Nice awakening. Appropriate.
Cliff was a god, and the true Hart and soul of Metallica. It was a sad day when he died. I remember being in Jr high, when they came out with this gem, and I was hooked. Old school Metallica was the best.
Yeah I was in junior high school at that time too. The school I attended was called East middle School in Downey California. The same junior high that James Hetfield himself attended back in the day. 🤘
I love it when kids and young adults discover the music that I grew up listening to and actually like it. I love it even more that you didn't just listen to this. You "heard" it.
Orion is the name of a constellation that symbols a man with a bow and arrow which means hunter. In eastern culture the astrologs call it "jabbar" and orion got it's name from there. It means TYRANT or oppressor. And if you listen deeply you will find out that it shows the story between the OPPRESSOR and the OPPRESSED. and the ending part is just the endless battle in between.
Fuck yourself you waste of skin! Cliff was a master of his craft. Deny master level talent snuffed out too early all you want, you'll still be wrong, troll all you want you still an asshat!
Vikings Studio Productions I got to see him in L'amours in Brooklyn my friends and I were on to hard rock the after the show we hunted down metallic albums \m/
darren collings why do you have to be an asshole? The only bitch here is you. You and people like you hide behind the keyboards and act like you’re billy badass or something trolling through the comments. The guy made a comment then you attack by calling him an asshole. Good grief. No need for it
RIP Cliff. "Call of the Ktulu" was magic to the ears. I had no friends as a pre-teen other than my guitar., I spent weeks learning that "Ktulu" in my room , I would literally sleep to Ride The Lightning lol. Keep up the great work with an open mind to music :)
+Joseph Miller I think what stuck in my head is not only the moments I spent learning to try and master it, the sound and feel of the masterpiece, but the emotion put into it. I will always think Megadeth a bigger challenge that would piss me off with hand cramps :P The greatest is when I actually *DID* learn the song , years later upon meeting my daughter's Mom. They were a music friendly group. Her younger brother loved guitar. We used to play around on that 6 stringed acoustic love. I slowly taught him to play "Call of the Ktulu". He finally got it . He was the little brother that I never had. He died of cancer a few years ago, taken from this globe WAY too young and too soon leaving a little one behind :( This song means much to me not only because I was that long haired dude that had no girlfriend sitting in my room jamming out pretending I was a rockstar in front of the other kids that would make fun of me , but being able to share that art to a fellow metal head that I saw a lot of me in.
It was a kick ass finger torture :) I was happy to spread that love of music to my fellow metal head jr. May he jam out with Cliff and his favorite - Dimebag. He still needed to learn the late and great Randy .... another day on some other planet.
Metal is for everyone. As a community and sub-culture, we've always had an 'open door' policy. We're all here for the same reason. And there's no shame in crying at a beautiful song. Sometimes the music moves you. Let it.
I listen this music about 35 years and I still love this state of art... this music give me the peace and strong for tomorrow. This still clean my soul. I respect so much your emotions. Beautiful! A big hug from Portugal! Cheers!
This is why we love METALLICA,not because of long hair or being mean and tuff it's because their music evokes emotion and that they are some of the greatest musicians to ever play together\m/
Girl your listening to the songs that have changed my life! Orion is my favorite song ever! People that just now are hearing these songs just blow me away on there reactions! Because I've been listening to Metallica for almost 35 years now! Now you know how I felt listening to the best music work in the world that can grab you put you in another deminsion and all you have to do is listen to these songs! they are beautiful and soul strikeing!! love it!!
Ayrton Senna Fan rip cliff, hey but also rip ayrton senna... I know this isn't an f1 topic, but imagine what he could have done if Imola wasn't the last time we'd get to see him alive. Lewis mentions him whenever possible though... Ok, im done.. Woo metallica. Great reaction video. I felt the same first time I heard this. When people not in the know hear the name metallica they tend to think loud, cacophony, nothing but noise, but alot of metallica songs are composed like symphonies. They're brilliant. You should also try out Tool. You won't be disappointed I promise...
The worst is when they didn’t listen to anything and just assume it is just noise because many people say that like (????) it doesn’t even makes sense! And then I show them some good metal and they are like oh it’s not that bad.. -.-‘
Orion is a really incredible piece, but you 100% need to listen to "To Live Is To Die". It was Cliff Burton's last intro into Metallica instrumental and it's an absolutely beautiful, moving, and emotional piece of music.
BEAUTIFUL!!!! That's the power of METALLICA!!! Not just a band. Metallica saved my life... The songs always told what I was feeling in my teenages times.
RIP Cliff. Metallica to me was never the same after he died. He was the heart of the band, it's soul, and I think Jane's really needed him. Another great done in the same vein you could try is The Call of Cthulhu from Ride the lightening. The band was playing with the same / similar ideas in that song, and their previous guitarist before Kirk was insane.
I was 15 when Kill em all was released. When Ride the Lightning came out, Call of Ktulu really grabbed me, then Master came out and I heard Orion, I was grabbed again. Early Metallica changed everything for me. Keep going with your open mind, it's very refreshing.
GOD YES MORE PINK!!! Yes you pronounced Orion perfectly. I will always love the intro . It is such a joy to see you reacting to metallica And YOU ARE DEFINITELY PART OF THE METAL COMMUNITY not only for the videos you post but for the passion , emotion and dedication you have shown. Your expression says it all which is the same in terms of how we feel about this music and how it touches you as well as it touches us . I /we love you! SHINE ON QUEEN SHINE ON FOR YOU ARE GREATNESS :)
This is the reason I started playing bass almost 30 years ago. Cliff was an amazing musician, composer, and human being. And this particular song makes me cry, too.
Your female sensitivity helps bring up a whole lot of the meaning embedded in this song. As a man, it's great to see a woman be moved as to reveal us beauty. cheers, i love your channel!
Someone needs to make a video of Metallica reacting to this. They would love to see how much Cliff is fondly remembered (as if they didn't already know). This is one of the best examples I've seen of how someone's legacy can live on in song.
The Cliff Burton bass solo at 5:30 and subsequent bars DEFINES the feelings of “perseverance through sorrow”. My absolute favorite Metallica song and it’s wonderful to see such a legit reaction to a wonderful song. Great vid!
See you're reacting to Orion, gets my instant attention. Love this song. Been playing music for 20+ years and I STILL haven't exactly mastered it for bass...
reaverofsouls Not to take anything from Cliff's musicianship (obviously!) but aren't there bass effects/tones that are difficult to replicate on this song?
Nothing corny about showing emotions. Music in general is a whole separate emotion of life. Makes you happy, laugh, sad, and cry. I have songs on my work playlists of all genres that get me through working 3rd shift every week. Some make me teary eyed (Silent Lucidity by Queensryche). Some make me laugh my ass off (Baby Got Back- Sir Mix A Lot). And some just make me think of my youth and entire life in general. Never apologize for showing your emotions. Rock on!!🤟👊
I don't get why this song makes women cry, lol, but it always seems to do so. The most emotional part of it for me is listening to Cliff's masterwork and knowing he's not with us anymore.
Maybe I'm an emotionless asshole, but I can appreciate great music. However, I don't see any reason why this particular arrangement would cause crying. But hey, that's just me. Opinion's right? Aren't they great? This IS a "reaction" channel by the way, and the more enthusiastic, emotional and over the top a reaction appears, the more views you will receive. That is the point of these channels correct? This reaction in particular, especially in the end was bit "over the top" to be quite honest.
@@commonsense5188 hey some people are just more in touch with their emotions than others, maybe that's you found it over the top because you aren't as in touch with your emotions as some people. But that's what makes us all different and I acknowledge that. Not gonna lie after I seen her tear up right after the breakdown and the guitar solo and cliffs bass solo right after, it made me tear up too. Maybe it was because seeing other people sad kind of makes me feel emotional too.
Wow, I was your age when i first Heard it way back when it came out and i Want to thank you for helping me Relive That Moment through you. I Felt your Emotion! By The Way Cliff Burton Was the Sickest Bass Player To Walk the Planet. RIP Cliff
Dearest PinkMetalHead, you are such a doll. I'm a middle-aged white guy in my 40s who grew up on Led Zep and Pink Floyd and consider those bands the ones that made me fall in love with music. I've watched you respond to them and now one of, if not the best, metal instrumentals of all time. Every time I see you react I want to just give you the biggest hug and a big kiss on the cheek (very respectfully of course ;-) ) You're so damned beautiful and real. And.... a nurse to boot (a true carer). Rock on beautiful girl and always keep it real. Love.
Or just listen to for whom the Bell tolls live a d cliffs performance of the songs intro is so fn heavy my head near feel off my shoulders head banging so hard was like fuck yeah that was cliff em all day at the green and about that time I was reborn the metallathrasher. Metallica fan that IAM today more long hair with hair spray thick as the bullahit lyric of them band just straight hardcore heavy metal Metallica music
I love your reactions in certain point because it reminds me when I was a kid and I heard for the first time that song. Now I'm 38 years old and listen more Black Metal and stuff like that but the earlys metallica's albums turned me into a metalhead and allowed me give the first steps in metal. Regards from Chile - South America.
Love to see your genuine reaction. I feel the same way. And welcome to the most accepting family you will ever find; the Metal Family. We don't care what you look like or the colour of your skin. You belong here. Keep up the great work and I am definitely subscribing 🤘
You are so beautiful!! Your face says it all. This has been by far my favorite Metallica song. I was 8 when. This came out in 1986, and I still cry and get goosebumps! You rock. Your faces said it all. You feel it.
Couldn't agree more. I love the way her facial expressions mirror what I felt the first time I heard this phenomenal track. And I love the simple way she reviews it without any pretension, simply a heartfelt celebration of fantastic music. Peace and love, y'all! xx
World's BEST instrumental. Period. Unbelievably great song on a phenomenal album, by an AMAZING band. These guys are geniuses, genii... whatev', with their instruments. They are talking through them. Yes, there is a story being told in this song. Orion is the mighty hunter in greek mythology and this song depicts the aggression and bloodrush of the paleolithic hunter, then the almost serene interlude when he arrives back to the tribe with his spoils, maybe a bit of sexy time, maybe a bit of drama within the tribe, then back out the next day to face the hunt again. A never ending struggle. Part of all of our pre-history. With this song, Metallica proves that they understand, music tells a story that mere words just can't say. BTW, Cliff Burton's incredible bass intro in "Damage Inc" is sonic perfection. I could drift for the rest of eternity with that bass intro on loop.
I just watched your video. Your reaction made me tearful too. I love metal. I grew up with it. I love the people, the atmosphere, the collective state of mind that shines from it. Lots of love from somewhere near London..x
I had the same emotion when I heard this song for the first time many many years ago. I remember listening to the cassette during a hot summer night and when this song came on I couldn't even grasp the feeling this song invoked in me. It takes me back to that moment every time I hear it. Glad you got to experience it yourself. It's just one of those songs that you feel.
Wow ! Your description of your first time hearing "Orion" mirror's mine almost exactly, except mine was hearing "Orion" late afternoon during a workout and then repeating the whole album another two times that hot summer night.
Nice! I truly believe if Beethoven were to have written a rock piece, it would have sounded just like this. And for this type of album to come out in 1986...these four young guys were way ahead of their time. 💋 Thanks for the reaction. I thoroughly enjoy it when you react to my favorite band. \m/
I've never seen anyone react to Metallica like this before. We are living in a better world when its Metal that makes you feel this way and not Celine Dion!
In Orion, the guitar doesn’t only do vocals, it cries.
Also the bass. Cliff was a bigger part of this particular song on the album.
seriously that’s what i hear, especially in the first time they played it live in 2006, amazing
Orion and Damage, inc. I love the beginning soo much

Cliff had the classical training to complement Kirk's "melodic" playing, but also the stones to keep Lars and James in check. They've had some good stuff since those days, but back then their songwriting was on another level. R.I.P. Cliff!
Jenni Anchors yes she does. Thank you.
Cliff was Metallica's lifeblood
You are such a beautiful person for doing this. I'm 47 years old, and I remember my mom getting this album for me. I still get those chills after listening to that song. It will never get old.
The bass solo in this song actually blows my mind so hard. this song is just pure passion.
Faith in humanity..restored.
Szegedi Krisztian This is the faith itself... restoration must be found somewhere else ;)
amen!
No one makes songs like this anymore. Period. Nothing corny about someone being deep enough to be moved by a song with no words. Music does that, it's a blessing. Life would be a cold desolate place without music.
Not true. There's one or two. You just have to know where to look.
Not only that, but the skill that goes into it.
As long as it's played with a Metal Pick it's metal in my opinion lol
Well said Eric. Metal is beauty, not just some stupid genre about devil worship or music for angry confused teenagers. Orion is life!
Every time I listen to this instrumental, it takes me to another dimension...and then I descend on to reality
This song is one of the main reasons I started playing bass.
form52 this song is giving me the will to begin. But I already play guitar so I don’t know
I watched several of your other reaction videos and was honestly not sure what to think, but when Orion brought a black girl unfamiliar with Metallica to tears....I felt it was a very genuine reaction and a good analysis of the song.
GREATEST BAND EVER !!!!!
This is quite possibly the most beautiful reaction to a metal song. This completely blows my mind as to how beautiful we all are inside. You maam are a wonderful person. From an old white dude who's always listening to metal and funk you make me feel good for expanding my musical horizons.
YA, i often put holes in the wall....
Agreed
The fact that Cliff passed away few months after release of this album makes it more heartbreaking .
didn't know that, so sad...
And the way he died was tragic. Crushed by a tour bus after it hitting a patch of black ice while they were on tour in Europe.
I have never heard someone say that the guitars are actually singing and filling the role of the vocals. That is such a spot-on and insightful interpretation which definitely fits this song especially the middle section. Nice job.
You won't believe how spot on your comment is. I felt the same and noted that on the top of my OC book.
I always felt the guitars were more like a violin duet...
Agree, I've always felt like that as well and to hear other people mirror these sentiments and get it in the same way is really cool.
@Hans
That's not true, and a quite dickish response.
Rap is real too now😉
Orion is one of The Best instrumentals EVER🤘🤘the time changes are sick!...love the new intro🖤
try the call of ktulu and to live is to die
Orion sounds like... I don't know, it sounds more like classical music to me. And Cliff Burton was practically Bach or Mozart of our time. RIP, Cliff.
xiljadu klonova yes To Live Is To Die is another very moving piece
Here it is, To Live Is To Die with Jason Newsted (Live Seattle '89): ua-cam.com/video/5Ez3xKH52jY/v-deo.html
Best possible quality, amazing sound!
Liz # - You should check out La Villa Strangiato by Rush.
It was a big influence on Metallica writing tunes like this.
The emotion, the dynamics, it's just a hell of a ride.
you like metal you're in the fam no hate, no racism, it's about the music. PERIOD,
And that’s a fact.
Dave Medina
San Antonio, Texas
same bro...1983 is when I was introduced
Just to let you know
2:00, 3:20, 5:37, and 10:40 are mostly or entirely played on bass
Cliff Burton was truly a magician and this song is truly a masterpiece.
Also, I know another really emotional instrumental song called
Metallica - To Live is To Die
that song takes you on an emotional journey.
John TF2 i was going to comment this lol
To live is to die is even more emotional when you know the lyrics were written by cliff. One of the last things he wrote.
Lol
The beast of bass
I wonder if Cliff ever met Steve Harris
You totally “get it”. Thank you for being so open minded and appreciative of great music. This truly is music for the soul. I get lost in Metallica’s music.
I'm truly envious that you are listening this for first time!
Huh!? I'm jealous too
Anyone that thinks your metal journey is "over" has never found more than tears and beauty in Orion.
Metal community accepts everyone. Subbed.
Britt Compagni yes sir...
DooM Guy 83 yup. People always think we are evil assholes. Never seen a dude fall in the pit and not get picked back up by everyone close.
we don't have emotions besides hatred though.
So true.
Listen to unforgiven trilogy.
I love it when kids and young adults discover the music that I grew up listening to and actually like it. I love it even more that you didn't just listen to this. You "heard" it.
Became it
Orion is incredible! My favourite instrumental of all time.
I don't know. To me it competes with Call of Chtulu! To this day I can't decide which is better 💓
There's a reason why Metallica is the #1 selling metal band of all time...
Erik Stone because they sold out :D
I can't hate. If I were making Metallica money, I'd sell out too! They're laughing all the way to the bank.
Sorry but Metallica was so good fame and fortune found them, they didn't sell out
Erik Stone lol what a clown
Lowell Kelley they don’t even make thrash anymore lol
Cliff was, and will always be the greatest bass player of all time...
Tonni Rasmussen Damn right
I still have Geddy Lee above him, but he's number 2 for me.
Don't disrespect Rob. Even Kirk said he was as good
SiLenT366 Rob is good, no doubt... But Cliff is still better 😆
SiLenT366 No one here is disrespecting him. What are you on about?
"The guitar is the only doing the vocals"
I think i'm going to subscribe to her that phrase is just something magic and touched me so hard ;-;
R.I.P CLIFF ....
LOVE YOUR REACTION I M 33 AND STILL CRY WHEN I HERE THIS YOU MADE ME CRY
Right!? Orion just strikes the soul...the boys in Metallica killed it with this one. R.I.P. Cliff 💝
Just means your a bitch
I will always think Megadeth a bigger challenge that would piss me off with hand cramps :P
The greatest is when I actually *DID* learn the song , years later upon meeting my daughter's Mom. They were a music friendly group. Her younger brother loved guitar. We used to play around on that 6 stringed acoustic love. I slowly taught him to play "Call of the Ktulu".
He finally got it . He was the little brother that I never had.
He died of cancer a few years ago, taken from this globe WAY too young and too soon leaving a little one behind :(
This song means much to me not only because I was that long haired dude that had no girlfriend sitting in my room jamming out pretending I was a rockstar in front of the other kids that would make fun of me , but being able to share that art to a fellow metal head that I saw a lot of me in.
It was a kick ass finger torture :) I was happy to spread that love of music to my fellow metal head jr. May he jam out with Cliff and his favorite - Dimebag. He still needed to learn the late and great Randy .... another day on some other planet.
I slept to rtl every night in elementary
Metal is for everyone. As a community and sub-culture, we've always had an 'open door' policy. We're all here for the same reason.
And there's no shame in crying at a beautiful song. Sometimes the music moves you. Let it.
I listen this music about 35 years and I still love this state of art... this music give me the peace and strong for tomorrow. This still clean my soul.
I respect so much your emotions. Beautiful!
A big hug from Portugal!
Cheers!
i remember listening to this song in the rain on my portable cd player being transported to another world by the sound.
Now you know how I felt listening to the best music work in the world that can grab you put you in another deminsion and all you have to do is listen to these songs! they are beautiful and soul strikeing!! love it!!
in my opinion this song is one of the greatest in the entire history of music.
Concur. Spring, TX.
Rock on girl!! Happy your enjoying the metal journey!!
Got the same reaction listening to Orion 25 years ago
Ayrton Senna Fan I was in a car ride trying to fall asleep when I heard this song and I got to tell ya this song knocked me out
Yeah buddy! I still get chills.
TheWell SpokenMan So true my friend ... so true
I remember hammering this song out and the album on my tapes with my walkman - haha. Always rewinding it back - the days of no CDs !!!!
It just make me sad so many people thinks metal is just noise without even listening to it because they saw some report on the TV
Melpheos1er F#%^ Tipper Gore
The worst is when they didn’t listen to anything and just assume it is just noise because many people say that like (????) it doesn’t even makes sense! And then I show them some good metal and they are like oh it’s not that bad.. -.-‘
Being ignorant is easy. Some people prefer having an uneducated opinion rather than some knowledge. It's their loss
Ehh .. .I'm sure they don't hate metal because the TV told them ...
Orion is a really incredible piece, but you 100% need to listen to "To Live Is To Die". It was Cliff Burton's last intro into Metallica instrumental and it's an absolutely beautiful, moving, and emotional piece of music.
I play live is to die all times one of my fav as well she should here that one ✌✌🎶🎶🎶🎶
It is really good, but imo, orion is the best instrumental. Sometimes i wonder how musicians of old would react to it. With headphones of course.
@Noktum Whatever Absolutely.
It was also the last song he has his name on.... So Sad Miss you Cliff.
BEAUTIFUL!!!! That's the power of METALLICA!!! Not just a band. Metallica saved my life... The songs always told what I was feeling in my teenages times.
Dearest PinkMetalHead welcome to the GREATEST BASSIST EVER he was taken away from us too early no one has been able to copy him RIP CLIFF
Bill Weihrich Amen brother, something died in Metallica when Cliff died, they never were the same band.
Word.. RIP Cliff
@@marmitedan1234
🎸 before was Dave Mustang
I wouldn't call him THE greatest but he's up there with the greats. R.I.P Cliff. The heart of Metallica.
Your tears started the moment Cliff played one of his most heartfelt solos. R.I.P.
I was 15 when Kill em all was released. When Ride the Lightning came out, Call of Ktulu really grabbed me, then Master came out and I heard Orion, I was grabbed again. Early Metallica changed everything for me. Keep going with your open mind, it's very refreshing.
You're beautiful when you cry, its called being human
When metal gives goosebumps thats when you know it's in your blood.
No. Thank you, my dear. So happy for you to have experienced that
Your female sensitivity helps bring up a whole lot of the meaning embedded in this song. As a man, it's great to see a woman be moved as to reveal us beauty. cheers, i love your channel!
Gender fascist!

Great vid!
It is not corniness Pink it is appreciation 🤗. Now, where did I put that box of tissue...
This song is so deep I feel it in my bones and it has helped me get up and carry on so many times in my life
See you're reacting to Orion, gets my instant attention. Love this song. Been playing music for 20+ years and I STILL haven't exactly mastered it for bass...
reaverofsouls Not to take anything from Cliff's musicianship (obviously!) but aren't there bass effects/tones that are difficult to replicate on this song?
It's not just the tone/effects. Widely known Burton used distortion for his tone. But that's not where I get hung up trying to play.
Isn't it beautiful? It still gives me goosebumps and I'm 35 yrs old. I've listened to this practically all of my life.
Congrats
This masterpiece was Cliff Burton's creation...
Rock on!!🤟👊
Yes!!! Favorite Metallica Instrumental, Cliff’s swan song. R.I.P Cliff Burton favorite bassist, gone to soon....
Omg hi angel!! You’re an OG on my channel :)
PinkMetalHead Been awhile haha been super busy!
I still get excited and emotional when I hear old school metallica! 🤘🏻🖤
#MetalChick4Life
Rip Cliff! Great reaction, beautiful song. So much emotion put into it. Thank you so much for being so authentic, and genuine. ❤️
Roadstar1602 you said it brother.... we still realy miss you cliff
It's more tears of awe and joy than sadness
Common Sense I'm apathetic most of the times and even I can admit this is tear inducing at times
RIP Cliff
Like a mach 5 missile straight to the feels.
I think I was outside at night, probably drunk looking at the moon. Mind blown. The Walkman was my constant companion..
Love.
Cliff Burton was the man! Need to listen to "Anesthesia, Pulling Teeth". Done completely with bass guitar..💯
Hands down the best bassist there is/was
Or just listen to for whom the Bell tolls live a d cliffs performance of the songs intro is so fn heavy my head near feel off my shoulders head banging so hard was like fuck yeah that was cliff em all day at the green and about that time I was reborn the metallathrasher. Metallica fan that IAM today more long hair with hair spray thick as the bullahit lyric of them band just straight hardcore heavy metal Metallica music
Yes!!! Pulling teeth.. Love cliff
@@n8gmail913 lolol that description of cliff on bell live. Man was a monster.
Cliff em ALL!!!!!!!
Metal has no colour, no "race", no creed.
It judges -society-, not people.
You are so beautiful!! Your face says it all. This has been by far my favorite Metallica song. I was 8 when. This came out in 1986, and I still cry and get goosebumps! You rock. Your faces said it all. You feel it.
That's the appropriate time to get teared up, right when Cliff's bass solo starts. Subbed.
Couldn't agree more. I love the way her facial expressions mirror what I felt the first time I heard this phenomenal track. And I love the simple way she reviews it without any pretension, simply a heartfelt celebration of fantastic music. Peace and love, y'all! xx
Master of Puppets is the best metal album of all time, not even debatable.
Ride the Lightning is pretty close IMO, but yeah ... awesome sauce
Nah bro, ride the lightning and justice for all!
best Thrash metal...best metal album is Master of Reality-Black Sabbath
One of Metallica's best if not best album. I didn't like their later stuff.
Too commercialized but damn if this wasn't just so special.
Fatty McGee I think Its debatable alright
Paul Walsh Nah, it's really really good but imo doesn't have a chance against the Dream Theater stuff (Stream of consciousness, Dance of Eternity).
Thanks for the reaction. I thoroughly enjoy it when you react to my favorite band. \m/
I've never seen anyone react to Metallica like this before. We are living in a better world when its Metal that makes you feel this way and not Celine Dion!
