Nah, John McCain was a lying warmonger, and he was always in lockstep with the most toxic and harmful economic and social policies of conservatism for his entire career.

As a non-American, American politics really looks like you have one "real" party that's kind of center-conservative, and one joke party that makes obviously wrong and outrageous claims, has ridiculous goals, puts some funny people in front, and soaks up the occasional vote of those that are disillusioned by actual politics. Many countries have those. But only in the US, the latter is taken serious and almost won the last election.

Covid cases are down under Biden. More people are vaccinated under Biden. Less troops have died under Biden. Hourly wages increased under Biden. College tuition costs are lower under Biden. Harsher discrimination laws under Biden. More families have been reunited under Biden at the border that were separated under trump. Less hate crimes under Biden. More hospitals have been given money under Biden as well as needed medical supplies hospitals ran out of under trump
