I actually deactivated my Twitter account 3 weeks ago to take a break, but might as well let it get deleted, I detest Elon Musk.
All that money, and he still can't afford any class.
Let me preface this by saying I watch on UA-cam rather than on an actual TV during broadcast time.
You currently have the best writers in late night entertainment, and your execution of what they have writtten is outstanding.
I agree 👍 and as a former comedy writer for a late night radio Game Show, one of the perks of watching on UA-cam is writing a funny comment and occasionally shamelessly asking Seth for a job!

22 years under CWA, 3 years now under AFT. Bernie speaks the truth. You can thank unions for the 40-hour work-week, paid time off (sick, vacation, holidays), lunch breaks, FMLA, non-discrimination in the workplace, and lots of other things!!

I love how this ended. The "Corrections" energy is leaking into the broadcast segments more & more. And, frankly, I think its for the better. Other Late Night shows edit everything to look so polished & perfect. Seth acknowledges that not every joke is going to hit and that's okay. It makes his show feel more authentic in a way.
Nah Seth has always let a few of his gaffes stay in the show, for comedic effect.
I think it makes this show unique and down to earth, being open about the jokes sometimes failing. It makes him feel more honest, humble, and relatable.
It was when Trump said he's not coming back that I became certain he is. He's got a bit of a pattern of saying one thing and doing another.

I realized it a while ago. It throws off my whole week when he's gone, and every time he leaves I realize how much the other guys suck. It shines when there's a major event taking place. Both the capital riot and Minneapolis riots were live streamed by regular people right on the front line, not commentary selling you a narrative, no commercial breaks, just pure front line documentary as it unfolds.

Of the 10,000s of lies Trump has told, I think him saying he will not go back to Twitter is one of the most easiest to spot.
The power of love compels me to praise Seth and his staff for their great work and tireless efforts to go beyond the call to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and the sentimental, not to simply "give the public what it wants"-but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold, educate and sometimes even anger public opinion.
Seth has picked up where Jon Stewart left off on the daily show a long time ago. I think late night is even better because there is a gentleness and a light heartedness that wasn’t at TDS.
They’re both modern day folk heroes.
Seth is more intimate with the audience and leans in to the bad jokes and awkward moments. Plus, it helps that both jimmies are trash.
I think you might be using the fake right wing definition of TDS, instead of the real actual definition. Understandable, they love to try and re-appropriate words and pretend they mean the exact opposite.

Weird...... Companies like GM, Ford and Toyota receive the same type of subsidies, only to the tune of around 10x as much. It's almost like you don't have a chance of starting a competitive business without them. Almost like corporate welfare should end.

I think that subsidies for electric cars was the right thing for governments to do.
My problem with Musk and subsidies is that he does not acknowledge that Tesla and SpaceX would not have been possible without tax dollars, while also dodging taxes for himself and disparaging the collection of tax revenue.

His comedy style is practically a cheat code. Joke doesn't land, he just hacks the Matrix and somehow makes it funnier. You know, most comedians actually pay the price when their jokes don't land Seth! No fair!

Seth’s comedic natural style makes him one of the best in late night.
I wasn't really into his style, but I was desperate for some more Late Night when Colbert would have his off-days, and now I really enjoy Seth's style. He does THE best Trump impression than anybody I've ever heard (at least in Late Night). Trump is not an easy guy to emulate and Seth nails all his nuances.

All the current late night show hosts are good in their own way and styles. Kimmel, Colbert, Meyers and Fallon. Samantha Bee and Trevor are also good. I'm not so much into James Cordon, but I love Bill Maher and John Oliver.

I've been watching this segment for SO long now.
And this might be the funniest one he's done yet. The fact that Seth actually started laughing at his own joke killed me.
I haven't audibly laughed that many times at a single video in quite some time. Kudos to the entire Seth Meyers team.
"Equilibrium" is an awesome movie to watch while on shrooms.
But more importantly, I'm glad that Seth finally called these powerful rich men "oligarchs". They need to be called out for it in order to simplify the problem that they are to a precise label for their behavior so more people can be unified... and "oligarch" is fitting and completely accurate. It's also a term that can be boiled down to meaning an oppressor by means of unlimited wealth and more people could easily understand that without getting into more scary details immediately. Americans like things simple like that. And it invokes this pretty negative feeling that more people should be having towards capitalist oppression.
