My wife worked in the Brazilian Congress for many years. Drugs, prostitution and orgies were common among congressmen and lobbyists. Being monied away from home brought out the “best” in them.
Madison said they were people he had looked up to....he doesn't look up to DEMs so it was only GOP he was talking about. Makes sense to me (Matt Gaetz etc)
He doesnt socialize with democrats. At least I would be tremendously surprised if a democrat wanted to socialize with him. I assume that the older guys are not involved. They have to go to bed early. That starts narrowing it down. I would think Gaetz, Boebert, Marjorie and then maybe some of the middle-aged guys who are in a mid-life crisis like: Jordan, Hawly, Cruz.

It is almost as if he doesn't remember the reason why he was impeached the first time, which had to do with a special favor from Ukraine.
Impeachment only works on someone who has a sense of shame. Since he wasn't convicted to him it never happened.

What Congress needs however if it truly wants to set an example for its citizens is a _responsible_ poly coke user. One who always tests their drugs beforehand, one who mitigates addiction and measures out their doses carefully, and one who as a result of their polyamory creates _less_ drama surrounding sleeping with other people rather than more.

I’ve wondered that as well. I’ve never heard the term (I’ve also never used cocaine) and wasn’t sure if it was a real thing. I’ve heard of ‘bump’ and ‘line,’ but it sounds like ‘key bump’ might be terminology that isn’t used in shows and films but would be by users. And given how politicians love to “fight against” things they often indulge in themselves, it makes me wonder if Maddy doth protest too much?

Apparently Cawthorn has admitted he "exaggerated" his claims about both the orgy invitations and drug use. At least we didn't have to wait for his parents to tell us he was lying, like he did about his car accident. Or the former president of the college he attended for one semester, to clarify he did not give an endorsement to his candidacy. I don't remember how long it took him to admit he was lying about why he wasn't accepted into Naval academy.
How disturbing it would be to have a son like this. Kudos to them for supporting the truth.

@@crnkmnky In a speech at his college, Cawthorn gave descriptive details about the accident concluding with the claim that his friend (the driver) took off and hid in the woods leaving him to die. The friend and Cawthorn's parents affirm that not to be true, that he and a bystander pulled him from the car. Later in a sworn deposition during a lawsuit against the driver, Cawthorn stated he had no memory of the crash

I use to work at a law firm for over 20yrs, the people that work in the Mail room are tested for marijuana and can be disqualified for the job it found in thier system, lawyers are the biggest cocaine users and they do not take a drug test when being hired.
