DAY 5 - SPLITTING SUGAR MAPLE POST-STORM

Day 5 of splitting sugar maple firewood. I heavy rain storm came so I covered the wood prior to because this time of year, the water wont dry up as easily and if my gloves get, wet, my hands get cold and I cant split any firewood.

Thank you! I had sold that customer a few bins and then the wind storm of May 22 hit and he cancelled, so I got a new customer via another 6 cord customer (the guy who stacked all his wood in the big garage. Then he called me for the last bin but later cancelled as he stopped using his boiler due to being away a lot and wanting the heat on while he is away so I sent the last been to that same new customer, which I called about a bin being ready at the moment. He said he has been burning scraps and because its been mild, he hasn't used much so now I'm desperately needing a new customer before the boiler wood piles up too much on the ground while the bin is waiting to be emptied

Anthony I’m not sure how much you make on a cord of wood but you definitely earn every penny of it

@AllenFamilyFirewood I sell the boiler wood in bulk cheap, but I have city pricing for my top notch product, about 360 pet cord, 35 for delivery, USD. Selling smoker chunks for more than double price makes a difference, but sales are down because of meat cost.

Do you get any "Silver Back Maple"? had some last year Burnt very nice!

There's a lot of silver maple. Probably the same species. Its not that good, but I throw in a few logs here or there to increase inventory
