@@brianodonnell4496 she already had a Bulbasaur. A starter from the remakes. It’s evolved form Venusaur was even on the box art for LeafGreen. I know Bulbasaur was caught in Hoenn, but they still could’ve used it as promotion regardless. It could have gotten much more focus and screen time in Battle Frontier… but instead they put it at the lab and replaced it with Squirtle.
