This is the most impressive laid back guitar playing I have ever seen. Most guitarists would be sweating and working hard to hit some of those notes but dude you are chill as hell rocking that guitar. You are a true guitar hero man! Keep it up. I'll be adding this video to my favorites.
i really like how he also teaches this after the solo
I like that you didn't just play one type of genre in this video, you covered many more techniques with this than you would've with one style. Beyond that, this is amazing simply as a piece of music, beautifully done.
1:20 how do I make my guitar sound like drums, what sort of voodoo is this.
Scouse Wayne I want to know also
Scouse Wayne No u need to make your drumm to sound like guitar,u can tune your snare in that tone,in this vide that tone is C...
Scouse Wayne Maybe triggerpad
Scouse Wayne dude he add the drums this is not the guitar !!
5R5oSHy There are pads for make those effects.
I first watched this 9 years ago as a university student, and I loved it so much. It's almost 2024, and I'm still loving it.❤❤
I don't know about anyone else, but the one hand tapping part, two hand tapping, sweep picking, and the part where the caption says, "... Abort... Critical Error... Malfunction... Warning... Shut Down Your Device... OVERHEATED". I could not stop cracking up, it was so awesome that I was laughing so hard, I almost pissed myself. Excellent, fantastic, absolutely freaking badass, and extraordinarily mind blowing. Amazing dude! =)
11yrs have passed and I am still impressed with his playing.
He changes guitars fast, I'll give him that
Why are you malicious, he is freaking amazing, you have to admit... :)
Dusan Isailovic Sorry you thought I was being malicious Dusan, I was only being (or trying to be) humorous.
It s a recording trick. No one can change guitar that fast. Just to let you know.
@@gentx2160 r/wooosh
lol that one got me
That sounded AMAZING! not just the techniques, but the song itself was incredible
What an insanely useful lesson. Like a guitar matrix: My favourites:
Intro of techniques
1:35 + trills
1:57 + horizontal + circular + wild + one-handed+tap
2:24
3:12 + tremolo picking + slide
3:59 + tap harmonics
4:09 - mixed techniques
Lessons
9:41 - Micro bending (it's so good)
9:59 - Trills
To be continued...
and they say hes still writing to this day...
1. Economy picking
2. Slide guitar
3. 8 finger tapping (both hands over the top of the neck, watch herman li or synyster gates master class solo)
4. Divebomb
5. Killswitch
6. That thing where you strum all the strings but they're all muted except for one, it sounds cool
7. Bending behind the nut
8. Amp feedback
9. Sweep up - tap - sweep down
10. Tap the pickups with your pick
11. Thumb over the top to mute or play a note
12. Tap with pick
13. Neck bending
14. Hammer on and pull off constantly, but between fret and open e.g. unholy confessions end riff, watch it live to see
15. Lick the strings
I didn't do this to say 'oh yeah, 40 isn't enough' or 'you're shit' or whatever, I just thought of a few that I wanted to mention. In fact, you're one of the best guitarists I've ever seen.
Bonus:
17. Burn your guitar on stage
every body knows about these that you mention {suggestions are always are easy to make},,,,,,,,, try or make one video like him then give him compliments like this
Chris Broderick is the king of 8 finger tapping.
#7 doesn't work with a locking nut though...
His powers come from his hat. Where do I buy the hat.
Jorge Vega You need to get it from the Mad Hatter himself, on the crossroads at noon! :) --Bogdan
It's a flat cap with a kangaroo on the back
Bogdan? Are you romanian?
Maybe he's from Serbia, that's kinda common name there.

I usually dont comment. But this video is amazing on so many levels. I love it.
This guy is sick

"One Solo"
I am about to write a 15 seconds solo and this is just what I needed, systematic ideas to catch up with the sound I want. Thanks dude, this is just very helpful
This so impressive :')
I cried listening to these, like that cry when you are happy, but cry anyways, just because you think like... I can play this. Someday i will play this also! :'D
Thanks, this made my day, pure inspiration
Mário Amaro Thanks for your kind words Mário - I'm sure you'll be able to play like this and even better! It only takes love for the guitar and some practice. All the best - Bogdan
@tofol cano - L presents a tied note. This means that you don't play this note rather add the duration of it to the previous note you played. Hope this helps! --Bogdan
Thanks for the Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you thought about - Rozardner Stopping Sounds Reality (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is an awesome one off guide for how to instantly slow down music by software minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my friend Sam after many years got excellent success with it.
Winner of a video, been searching for "learn-to-play-lead-guitar" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my friend got amazing results with it.
gmcguitar чувак..... ты супер!
You forgot whammy flutters, behind the nut bending and using your string tuners to detune, retune while playing. Great job though by the way!
every so often I come back here
at 0:38 he's like "did u see that?" haha
"You saw what I did there?" xD
O Yes....
ezzyMunero90 1:20
ezzyMunero90 .
The micro bending sounds like Egyptian music to me.
Christian Grimes Yeah, it does you can use that technique to emulate oriental sounds :) --Bogdan
He used the phrigian dominant scale
Don't you just love how pre-bending comes right before bending?
LEGEND :) The tapped harmonics got me so good.. I listened to it over 10 times in a raw
I can do pretty much all of this except for the sweep picking. For the life of me, I just can't get my sweeps to be smooth.
Maybe this will solve your problem:
Type this after youtube /watch?v=-tob2N4dze8
It's a helpful tutorial :)
IMO sweeps aren't even worth the time to learn. Its a cool technique, but whenever they're in a song for more than a few seconds it quickly gets boring.
I'll Paypal $10 to whoever can name a truly classic song with more than a few seconds of sweeps. And don't say Children of Bodom or some dumb shit like that.
good one, sorry dude, being stupid, bad nite
SpookyApparition serrana by jason becker.
SpookyApparition Type in the YT search bar: "Ed to Shred Episode 1 - Full video (PROPER)" and u will see how sweeps can be used for the duration of almost the entire song. Cheers!
It is economy picking at the beginning 0:12.
OMGG how did u setup the sound man. i really want know..
what distortion are u using please tell me...
This was the first guitar video i ve seen when I accessed youtube the first time...I was a noob then ,this whole lesson was a cheat code that got me hooked up with techniques before moving to more musical stuff...
That was the holy moment I came to realise electric guitar had way more cooler techniques than any instruments...
2:24 porn music, i like it.
lol no, that's too good to be porno music.
No, I agree. I totally could get in the mood with a girl with that music :P
So , 2:50 is pure Sex kkkkk
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA :D
funny. I almost forgot what it sounded like. brings back bad memories. God beats me up now if I watch porn--I try not to watch it.
I've made a deal with Cthulhu, and he said that I get your hands. You get these clumsy hamfists of mine that are utterly incapable of playing the way that you do in return... sorry, man, but a deal is a deal. Cthulhu fhtagn.
And how to use 5 different guitars in one solo
Exchanger pedal by Keystone 😂😂
I love this film!
I used to watch it when I was dreaming about having an electric guitar.
Now, a couple years later I'm playing in the metal band and every time I'm watching this video I'm getting great inspiration!
Thank you a lot :D
HOW CAN 972 NOT LIKE THIS EPIC LESSON!? BTW ANYONE KNOW HOW HE CAN ACHIVE THAT NICE SUSTAINING SOUND. I DO'T MEAN PLAYING WISE. I THINK I KNOW THAT. LIKE WHAT KIND OF GEAR/EFFECTS HE'S USING?
Marugeist Nivelo Hi Marugeist - check out this full lesson which features listing of gear used by Sinisa in this video: www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/40-Techniques-Solo/ ....Sustain is usually a combination of technique with well setup guitar. Technique wise it is important to keep the right amount of pressure on the vibrating string and not touch the vibrating string in any way unintentionally after it has been picked as that will stop the vibration and note will loose sustain. Sometimes it is also needed to add a bit of vibrato to notes in order to keep the sustain. Effects wise, a bit of gain (overdrive/distortion) certainly helps keep the notes ringing longer. --Bogdan
gmcguitar Will definitely do right now. Thanks for sharing!
Marugeist Nivelo also he probably was using a delay pedal maybe? but sounds like that could help
I can hear a lot of chorus and he uses overdrive for parts. A small amount of reverb can help to give more body to a note.
Thumb up if you are watching in 2019!
Does changing guitars count too?
I still get goosebumps, such talent
rofl critical error laughed so hard, excellent humour 04:40
Am I the only one that watches this high?
+Brady Dolan what a badass
TzT BadStudentQc whut?
+Brady Dolan same xD
+Brady Dolan Dude holy shit I'm stoned watching it right now
+Brady Dolan
I plan to tonight. I can't imagine it could sound any better tho. Amazing.
implying hammer ons and pull offs aren't legato
They aren't. Legato is doing hammer ons and pull offs in a sequence, not just a few.
@@raven4442 that’s not my statement
This compilation of techniques is a masterpiece !!!
When he did alternate picking, play the video slow and you'll see that he was economy picking
3:45 till 5:11
OH MY GOD...
what is micro bending?
+Jackson Arthur Sup moonwalker !! :D I hope life's treating you good man !
Kawamanimes the one and only! Lol have a nice day
I watch this video before I buy my first eletric guitar and i'm still impressed with the composition and melodys that you created. I'm grow so much in this last 11 years and I remember today "hey, I remember one video that I'd watch every day when I begin in eletrich guitar. I'll watch again now with my experience to avaliete this video again" And this video continues amazing!

8 finger tapping? XD
Это разминка перед "кузнечиком"
There's no way to describe this, incredible man!!
slap in a guitar? OH MY
Guthrie Govan does it. Best example is probably the opening to "Wonderful Slippery Thing"
a mis pastillas no le gusta esto XD
wtf did i just see??? o.O
most of these techniques are easy.........when you slow them down 100x lol. but honestly just practice and in three months(if you are an intermediate player) we could all play like him.
Great to see a Extremely Talented Person & Sharing it to all . Appreciate it.
The bass needs to be retuned and louder
8un3zz This is the stupidest thing i've read in months. Congratulations.
Haha xD
8un3zz bassist is a failed guitarist
Nieminen666 NO.
Nieminen666 u have bad opinion about that... See some people have a talnet for rhythm (groove) instruments, like drums,bas,congas... Some have for melody... Like guitar, piano and other instruments... I play guitar, bass guitar and drums... And im better drummer then my bro,who play drums 10y,and i play them 2y... Also im better bass player then guitar player, rhythm (groove) is for me,not melodic. But that doesn`t mean that im bad guitarist... Bass guitar is hard like guitar, not less... If u want to play perfect bass, like Victor Wooten,or like this guy Sinisa plays guitar.
G.Howe style vibrato (4:14)??????
Really? George Lynch invented that technique......Greg Howe himself credits Lynch.
And Lynch credits me, he came around to my place and we jammed til the wee wee hours of the morning. He also showed me how to play 100 riffs in 10 years. And... he pinched my pleccy.
you really had to break vibrato into 4 types to reach 40 techniques huh?
steve smithson That was the only way to get there! Either that or adding "motorcycle" and "bird" sounds to the mix :))) --Bogdan
gmcguitar haha no worries! couldve thrown in economy picking in there though
steve smithson 4:44
Used to watch this all the time after school 10 years ago. Where the hell does time go?
It’s crazy 👊❤️
@@gmcguitar It's amazing, as is this video all these years later! 😆
He wasn't alternate picking though... and also that greg howe vibrato was really off lol
***** maybe he was talking about Steve Howe from YES.
Jim Hagler Greg howe slide vibrato
2:23 : Porn Music hahaha
Is strumming even a technique?!?
well everything that produces sound from guitar is 'technically' technique
probably one of the most useful videos ever made for newbie guitar players
I keep coming back to this video because its incredible. Incorporating all of these techniques into one song is something to behold. Much respect to you gmcguitar. New Sub as a result.
That Scream At 4:20 Was Incredible! Amazing Video.
One of the better videos for learning the guitar
This is why the guitar is my favorite instrument, can't play it but love to listen. I have just learned a lot in this video, thanks
You sir are the most complete guitarist I've ever seen. Absolutely brilliant!
Best video I've watched in this year so far! wow!
wow I love the combination of micro bending and banjo rolling volume swell ....
this is f***ing great !!!!
What a fantastic guitarist. Great technique
THIS HAS BEEN MY FAVORITE PRACTICE GUITAR VID since 2013
Those harmonics were breathtaking!
Am I the only one that listens to this as a song , this is guy is sick
Dude those stops in the bending section were SICK!
I’ve listened to this hundreds of times with no knowledge of how to actually play guitar; I just really appreciate the solo itself. Even after 8 years I come back and listen to it cause I love it.
Thank you so much. I am amazed with your huge knowledge and experience !,, I am learning from
people like you. Bravo and greetings from Greece .
Unreal, I can't even begin to imagine how I'd get to your skill level even with the slowed down tempo and tabs. Amazing talent man, love listening to your music.
Could listen to this guy all day
What a nice piece of work!
It might have took you long to realize such a great vid.
Awesome skills, thanks for the practising chapters.
