edu puertas You mentioned jumping. I am assuming depending on the project/ model, there would be some kind of armature sticking the character to the table, that would be caught on frame. In case you need to remove that from the frame, would dragonframe be the tool to edit this, or is other software needed? Awesome video, as always :)
+Felipe Amaral hi! Dragonframe is only to capture the animation. For rig ( how we call the arms that holds puppets) removal you will need something like Photoshop or after effects. Thanks for watching :)
This is a great design! The ones I made for my last project used a wood top, which worked but ended up being a bit messy with the drilling. Looks like it could be good for make sturdy mounting for set props too.
One question I have always had when using tie-downs like this is; how would you put some sort of flooring on top of it for your set? Say a carpet in a living room, or some stone or dirt or grass etc that your character would be walking on? I have only ever used magnets to hold my characters because I have never figured that out! Any ideas???? :D
+Jenna Provost For me is the same as magnets, whatever you use with them can be applied on top this surface and just make the holes you need. Could sound strange to be making holes but when you try you see how steady the puppet feels.
Jenna Provost you can cover with plaster and paint the holes or just clean up on post. But all that are things you deal with in benefit of a much stable animation. Check all the huge films and you will see they make holes.

+ edu puertas - I might be happy if you decide to make the casting in one of the ball and socket armature puppets you have!! The guy on the table looks so cool. I'd like to see a tutorial of how you make a realistic puppet like that
The first and most important is to learn to animate. I would suggest you to take a piece of plasticine and a free phone app and start animating till you get a little confident. Then if you see this is your thing, invest in a camera.
Moltes gràcies i segueix així!
100% recommendable to have a table like this to test your animations, jumps, acting, walk cycles, etc.

edu puertas Always had that doubt! Thanks!
Great to see it in action at the end!

+Beardbotnik Wood us the way to work on stage so you are right with it. I agree Ot ends messy but you can make the holes to the exact place you need.
Thanks for making this type of videos
Beautiful. One day may be One day I will be an animator

Thank you for your response!!! Would the camera not pick up a bunch of holes in the ground of your set?

Hi :) do you remember the dimensions of the wood?
Hola, Edu, ME encantan tus videos!!!
for a while I thought you will fix the doll with magnets, anyways amazing work as usual
+Islam Ali not a big fan of magnets but I know with them you work faster

Is this thing on amazon? If so, can you give me the link?
No it is not, sorry
There's quite a few options on amazon if you search "perforated sheet metal"
How much to commission one?
