God bless you brother for making this video my lil brothers selector actuator just went out and now I know how to fix it thanks bro very helpful video 👍 you are the man
This should be ranked at the top of the list when someone searches for Chevy Silverado actuator locations. This was exactly what I was looking for but I had to wade through half a dozen other unhelpful videos first. Thanks for posting this! I was able to find the mode actuator for my 2008 Chevy Silverado because of this video.
Thumbs up Hayden. I have the same issue, my defrost vents blow fine but the entire center console for hot cold is shut closed blowing no air at all and could only assume it's an actuator. Hopefully now with your help, I won't have to tear apart as much of my truck as you had to in order to locate the correct actuator. Thank you!
Yo. . . This is 2 years old but did u fox ur problem? ALL of my vents are stuck closed so I would love to hear if or how u fixed it. . I have a 2007 chevy avalanche
Bro thank you so much because I’ve been looking all over for a video to try to find the actuator for the temperature control and this just really helped.
When you're actuator went, did you notice if you could hear the actuator as you turned the nob? On my 08 sierra I can hear the actuator moving but is stuck on defrost, I tried resetting the system cause it got stuck only after the battery died on me while working on my truck in the garage but didn't make a difference.
You are the man for making this video just bout a 08 silverado and the mode actuator is junk now I don’t need to take everything apart to find it all due to u thinking of others with the same issue. Thank you.
So freaking helpful dude! All the other videos people had the dual climate control and on older chevys. I traded for this truck in the summer time and the ac wasn’t the greatest well now they heat isn’t the best. I cut an access to the blend door because I noticed once I took the actuator off it wasn’t going all the way both directions. A big rock somehow got wedged the door. Now I have really hot heat and ice cold ac. Thank you very much!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video mine doesn't blow air on any vent but blower runs I have to turn the a/c off for 10 minutes and then start blowing again for other 20 minutes I'm really frustrated this yukon, I think my problem is one of the actuators.
Your awesome bro. It was definitely helpful to me. Ty for tearing apart your entire dash, just to save me the trouble. Lol. Honestly I do sincerely appreciate you. Ty
Thanks for this video, every other video I’ve seen out there so far shows different locations but not for this specific model. Fortunately I have the same year and model so this help a bunch, thanks again!
You might be able to give me an answer, been looking at alot of videos too but none with the 08 model of Silverado, I'm having a smelly moldy odor when I run the ac/heat. You know the best way to fix this?
Very helpful. I've been hearing the one under the airbag passenger side. Everyone says to look under the kick plate but I don't have shit under there except wires I ran myself
I get cold air out of passenger side and hot out of driver side I can see the driver side accuator working so is it the one behind airbag on passenger side
Bro tore his ride apart with determination. lol. Good work. Now I don’t have to make a video. I did for getting the doors open on these trucks when the cable breaks and folks have been very happy I made the video
Thanks for making this video. I've got a 2011 silverado with dual climate control and it blows hot air on the driver side when the front vents are set on cold. Which actuator do you think I should go for to fix that?
Driver side actuator is located almost exactly below the passenger side actuator and is a lot easier to access if you don't have a center console. Just remove the bottom trim cover and you will see the connector plugged into the actuator. Two screws hold it in.
@@wallace0330 hey there, I realize you left this comment a year ago but I'm hoping you still check comments haha. I have an 08 with dual climate. So the actuator under the glovebox should fix temperature issues? Thank you
Thank you, it’s crazy there aren’t any videos out there. The parts store sold me 4 actuators with different part numbers so I’m trying to match up. My truck is a ‘10 but has single climate control like yours so I think they sold me an extra thinking I had dual climate control.
Would you know to re-calibrate them? The correct procedures? I found other videos/forums but they were for the older models 2000-2006. I need one for the 2013 LS model. Anyone have this issue?
Mike Parsons I fixed it take off bottom panel and it’s the bottom middle one! There one by the driver side, that’s for recirculating and think the one by airbag is for modes. Hope that helps bud!
@@Keepingitreal815 Do you have Dual zone? I'm getting heat then cold, then heat cold operation on my passenger side. I thought the passenger temp controls was the one to the left of the airbag so I replaced that but it still does the same thing.
You are the hero chevy owners need.
6 years later and this video is still the top result when you search it thank you!
Thanks, hope you are here to see how much youve helped people seven years later
I wish i had found this video 2 days ago... but you're now my hero!
I've spent many hours trying to find these locations. Thank you for this video.
Thanks for saving time couldnt find this information anywhere!
You are the kind of human that makes the difference...thank you so much make this video was very helpful to me.

Perfect short and sweet and covered everything!

Right on!! You da man!! my late '07 only blows hot... you've pointed me in the right direction. Thank you!
Hey very helpful video!! How do you disassemble the air bag?

Thanks mine does the same thing. Did you go with aftermarket or gm part?
Man I've been looking forever for this info, thanks bud.
Thanks Sir, I own two 09 Silverado's and my blend motor is going out. Very handy, simple and to the point!
You just saved me a ton off looking! Thank you for sharing!

Two words: THANK YOU!!!!!!!
I'm starting to have a heat issue on my 07.5 and haven't found much info in the actuator, let alone the location
Thank GOD I found this video
Thanks for sharing! My fresh air doesn't change... so I just got that pert! And now I know the location
Your awesome bro. It was definitely helpful to me. Ty for tearing apart your entire dash, just to save me the trouble.

Your video is awesome thank you
Good info good video short and to the point Thank you
Thanks for the video. I was starting on the drivers side soooo. Yeah. You saved me ALOT of frustration.
Thanks for this video, every other video I’ve seen out there so far shows different locations but not for this specific model. Fortunately I have the same year and model so this help a bunch, thanks again!
I replaced the temperature control one and it's still blowing cold air... any ideas why?
The one on the passenger side at the bottom of the box, any idea what that one is for ?
I think that's the a/c door actuator
Thanks so much. I've had two different ones fail in my 08. I've watched your video for reference a bunch.
You might be able to give me an answer, been looking at alot of videos too but none with the 08 model of Silverado, I'm having a smelly moldy odor when I run the ac/heat. You know the best way to fix this?
Thanks a ton man! Made replacing the hot and cold one in my truck a 20 minute job and not at 20 hour one!!!
Very helpful. I've been hearing the one under the airbag passenger side. Everyone says to look under the kick plate but I don't have shit under there except wires I ran myself
Thank you. Been looking for the air circulation door actuator.
Thanks bud. Can’t find wt fixes. This helped a bunch.
Is there one under the kick panel too or is that for ones that have dual zone climate control?
Thanks Hayden! You confirmed what I needed to know on my 2009! You're awesome! I'm grateful!
I get cold air out of passenger side and hot out of driver side I can see the driver side accuator working so is it the one behind airbag on passenger side
This video saved me. 2009 Chevy Silverado with no vent controls, the AC and heat blew out all vents
Not all heroes wear capes....thank you for this video

I was about to flip out. 😊 Thanks

The907alaska not sure man unfortunately mine doesnt have dual climate so i only have one wheras you have 2.

@@mikeparsons7693 it's actually to the left of the glove box. I believe it's the one closest to the floor board. At least that how it was on mine.
I believe my mode actuator in my 2007 Escalade is going out. Do you know what the part number was on yours?
I really appreciate you man..it helped alot and saved me $$..lol
THANK YOU!!! Ive been going nuts looking for that shit for the same issue..
Extremely helpful! I've been trying to hunt down the one for vent selection!

Have you figured this out? I have the same problem.
Mike Parsons not yet gonna try soon. Was gonna try the middle one see what happens!

Yikes! Thanks for sharing!
ua-cam.com/video/8QofnaPiDLs/v-deo.html check this one too!
Part number? My ac mode selector doesnt work, so it is the part under the steering wheel.
ACDelco 15-73952 ?
Ac more should be different. I belive that one is under the dash in the left side of the passenger kick plate just over the hump.
Thanks bro..✌✌
Thanks
Thank you bro
Yes very helpful. Those look like a pain in the ass. You could of made a video of the tear down just to find them. 😂
