But I mean, I dont truly understand what si the point no scorting an ambulance. The people move out because they hear and/or see the ambulance, not the bike.
Man I thought I'm the only one feels that way, the all comment section is praising the rider while I look at it and really see no effect to anything he did (even if he did meant well) maybe its just because I'm from a place where this act by other drivers is so obvious I simply can't see what everybody is seeing
@@eden5260 to me it looked like the cars ahead didnt even pay attention to the ambulance, considering they didnt even move out of the way or swapped lanes to even block it. The motorcyclist actually made sure none of them got in the way
If everyone paid enough attention and reacted, the biker wouldn't have made any difference, but unfortunately it is not uncommon in France (maybe/probably other places but I wouldn't know) and especially in parisian traffic to see people react to emergency services very late (like only when the ambulance is the next vehicle behind them and not before) or in a lazy way, just barely getting to the side. Of course most people do react appropriately and the biker didn't change anything for them, but you can spot at a few moments that some people did react to him, and getting these few people to react is enough to allow the ambulance a smoother and faster ride overall
The rider helped in directing the traffic away and clearing a path for the ambulance. Drivers may only be able to hear the ambulance in congestion and, without coordination, might just swerve into the path of the ambulance in an attempt to get out of the way. Especially when he stopped traffic to clear a path for the ambulance when only 1 lane was clear, no siren could possibly inform the driver that they needed to stop dead in the lane.
Exactly what I thought biker is passing through in between lane were the ambulance doesn't fix and not really doing anything. Maybe and just maybe when the biker passed by the car driver it made them look in the general direction and then saw the lights of the ambulance and then got out of way. But just maybe..
That looked marginally useful. It looked like most of the cagers heard the siren and knew what to do before the motorcycle arrived. Points for the effort but it's difficult to say whether the bike was escorting the ambulance through traffic, or the ambulance was escorting the bike through traffic.
What a good man! Give this man a random applause! That is some stuff everybody should learn in a motorcycle drivers license course! 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I hope that person in need will be alright.
Yeah. I used to do that. Changed career. Now live in the middle of nowhere. If I get stuck behind a tractor for 5 minutes it's a bad day 😁 If I ever use a motorway & meet serious traffic now I wonder how the f..k I put up with that sh1t for 30 years!! Poor people.
All i can say is job well done pall. A while back i was on my dominos scooter going to do my delivery and heard sirens in the back. I looked over my shoulder and noticed the ERV coming. Knowing space was luxurious and my position akward (cuz i didnt know where he needed to go) i decided to pull over at an empty parking space and wait till he passed. Obviously its the thing everyone should do. I honestly hope the ambulance registered ur plate and made sure you got a medal or something. You deserve it
Fucking. Hero. This video makes me wish I had a bike so I could do things like this. Especially in my town where people tend to actively try to make nuisances of themselves on the road. Not saying that they'd explicitly block an ambulance... but the totally would, and then get mad at people doing the same thing when they are the victim! It was really nice to see motorists actively doing as you asked, trying to create as much room as they could and clear lanes, or stopping for awhile to let the ambulance squeeze in.
Bravo et mercis pour avoir pris des risques pour aider une ambulance et un patient qui en avait besoin, sur le mouille en plus...belle lecon de compassion...
@Michala1998 you're spot on - what I saw was a video of a non-cop pretending he was one (kind of like that jerk from Florida who escorts funerals but plays cop often) actually getting in the way of people who otherwise could have changed lanes to clear a better path for the ambulance. Him riding right on the stripe prevented many who could have otherwise actually gotten out of the way. Far from praising this guy, he should have been ticketed.
@@chouseification who said he was a a guy acting like a cop if anything he most likely saved a life and there should be more people like him, plus he was not doing any kind of dangerous driving, he slowed down for the ambulance and sped up to clear the road.
@@finecanine376 watch the video again - notice how he was driving down the striped line the whole time; encroaching into the lanes of the vehicles who were supposed to get out of the way of the ambulance, but because of his well intentioned but ultimately HORRIBLE decision to "escort" the ambulance, those people were locked into their lanes. It happens for the whole video - just open your eyes and imagine being one of those drivers _trying_ to move for the ambulance but not being able to. Thousands of them. Also, he was gunning it and overtaking the traffic at multiple points - also quite dangerous since they hear the siren and may suddenly change lanes to avoid it (but may miss the non-police motorcycle driving like a madman right in their lane). This guy risked hundreds if not thousands of lives - not worth it to _try_ and help one, not on any level. There's a reason this sort of behavior would be a whole list of misdemeanors and possibly a few felonies in the USA - it's one thing to be a Good Samaritan and another thing altogether to pretend you're the Road Warrior.

Great stuff. Some quality lanesplitting there. Makes a big difference to my commute times here in Sydney but never thought to use it to aid our paramedics. Thanks for sharing - Dave

All the respect from bikers around the world mate 💯
What he did when the left lane disappeared was most certainly him escorting the ambulance
What a good man! Give this man a random applause! That is some stuff everybody should learn in a motorcycle drivers license course! 🙌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I hope that person in need will be alright.
I know this is an old video but you're awesome! Seriously you did a service to whomever that EMS unit was going to or helping.
Damn, imagine having to go through this crap to get to and from work everyday.
Ahyhh I'd rather walk.
This is really light traffic in comparison to the LA area in California.
That's why you ride a bike
Yeah. I used to do that.
Changed career.
Now live in the middle of nowhere. If I get stuck behind a tractor for 5 minutes it's a bad day 😁
If I ever use a motorway & meet serious traffic now I wonder how the f..k I put up with that sh1t for 30 years!! Poor people.
Search for traffic in india. Your perception will change. 😂😂
He’s a good example of a Great biker 👍 And this guy just saved a life 💕
All i can say is job well done pall. You deserve it
We need more people like you. Hats off to you sir.
Bravo pour ton geste pour un enfant
Tu es un héros mec
What a great video . well done its nice to know there's nice and caring people in the world . well done. Love from Scotland
This man should, get respect. He cleared way for ambulace👍👍👍
Fucking.
Mad props to you. We need more guys luke you out on the road.

In Austria you have to pay 2000€ if you dont let emergency vehicles through
I think its good like that
2000 is not enough ...
In Romania if you don't let the emergency vehicles through, you loose the driver license for a month
True
In Austria, especially in Vienna, emergency vehicles hardly use their sirens.
C’est fou à quel point un simple geste de la main fait plaisir
nous devons voir plus de gens comme ça
We need more people like these on this planet. Pure good will. 🍷🤝

Très beau geste il reste encore des personnes bien dans ce monde ! Bravo mec 👍
All the dislikes are the people who he slowed down
@@somerandomguy6283 I’m pretty random
True
Bravo et merci pour ce geste citoyen 👍
Thank you for doing the right ting, hope you are keeping up the positive vibe, and help many more people , 🙏
