    I love this message. When I was a personal trainer my goal was always to make the client competent to do their own thing. I wanted what you mention here. Unfortunately it’s “weird” to some who can’t possibly fathom that maybe they don’t need a service endlessly. My boss at the time said it was stupid, but i figured I wanted to give value, and anyone that really appreciated me would stay with me or pass along a friend. Love your approach bc.. it’s what I think is right. Also… baby steps!

      I love that I wish the trainers I’ve tried in the past did that. Some of us want to learn and a few basic things is so helpful for us that don’t know. Thanks so much for your comment ❤❤

    Thank you for the reassurance that it’s okay to stay in your comfort zone when it comes to makeup. I’ve tried many different looks over the years and I find that my comfort makeup looks the best!

      I so agree!! Anytime there is a lot going on or something important and no brain power, comfort zone is key. And I always feel better in it than in crazy makeup tbh.

    Kind of crazy how universal this look is, like all I could think was wow this really compliments and draws out your eye color and I was like wait a minute… this would work for EVERY eye color 😍

    This is my go-to makeup look if I wanna go out and look nice. If I’m feeling spunky, I’ll throw a duochrome shadow in the middle of the lid or some colorful liner for a pop of color, like it’s so versatile and easy. I can’t tell you the number of times ppl are like “wow, can you do my makeup” and are shocked by how simple this is to execute. I do want to learn more techniques, but until I’ve mastered those on me, I’m gonna stick w this ❤

    Thank you. I am an older woman. I have nice features. I try to make the most out of what I have. I have light skin and “aqua” green eyes - I asked an eye doctor what color my eyes were as they are a light green and he said aqua. As a kid I had much freckles. I worry about sun spots. I like sunlight and could not wear a moisturizer until recently (acne). My face cream does not absorb and will grease up my hair. Lotion may absorb on other parts of my body but not my face. I have wrinkles but not dry skin.

    I have blonde lashes and have to bring the eyeliner into the lash line. I have a hard time. How do you recommend? Or does smudging it with a brush do that?

    What about eye bags. I find underlining the lower lash emphasizes the bags.

    Would a base color of say pink or rose be ok? Not big on anything near my eyes almost like a q-tips commercial..... no contacts or glues.... nothing in your eyes but hand or eye drops when necessary (q-tips .... nothing in your ear but your elbow). Better get some brushes. TY 😊

    The makeup is beautiful. Was that primer, or concealer, on the lids? I use primer, but I love how concealer goes on. I tried this before, and it creased. 😔

    • @emily_harper_
      @emily_harper_  2 місяці тому

      It was concealer. For this to work it’s got to be a pretty dry formula - this was hourglass. For oily lids primer is kind of a must OR wipe down with makeup remover then apply concealer.

    Is figuring out the length you need just hit or miss?

    • @emily_harper_
      @emily_harper_  2 місяці тому +2

      Yes it’s preference and natural lash length. If they are clusters they should be slightly longer than the natural lash on the ends and about the same length as the natural lash as you go inward. Of course longer if you want a dramatic look 😅. Shorter is safer if you aren’t confident in lashes yet. The velour doesn’t have different length options and theirs are pretty conservative unless you buy the volumes.
