“I’ll try to remain as unbiased as possible”
“They’re useless and petty and give you nothing back” 😂😂😂
disrespectful!
Yeah like wtf so pessimistic the whole video
Perfect, they're just like me
Its one step away from spider and snake collecting weirdos.
Hey! That was a little uncalled for! 😂
Me at the start: **Googles jellyfish for pets*
Me at the end: **Googles Giant Lava lamp.*
_Lets see where this train takes me._
@@Fazer_600 ya, if it's sweet, you're probably not seasoning it right either. They're supposed to taste spicy
..so I'm told.
@@CoryMck haha
Cory Mck omg same!
Cory Mck im getting those plastic bags .. cheaper
U can get jellyfish mood lamp
Plastic bags. No wonder sea turtles often mistake them for real jellyfish.
MeekoHerptile they are surprisingly similar
@Jayden Mao no who mad design of jellyfish
IM GONNA go throw 10 plastic bags into the sea for your remakrs.
@@MrNncon 😡
Hell man even I miss took one for a jellyfish lol. But seriously it’s messed up. 😠
“When I got to the hospital the nurses were impressed” dying😂
lol, I couldn't resit adding that :p
Ikr
Did you get stung between the legs?
UA-cam: "Do You Really Want a Pet Jellyfish?"
Me: well no actually, but imma watch anyway
Ikr
then u might as well watch my vids too HAHA
Me: YES PLEASE I DO I NEED ONE
@@jellyfishcorpseschannel01 nope
I got stung by a Jellyfish fish in Australia too once.. I thought I was going to die.. Unfortunately you still have the pleasure of me commenting on this video today.
lol it wouldnt be the same without you
Prestige Reef 💙
Same but it hurts on my finger I sticked it using something and it stinged me
*unfortunately* no, it's not unfortunate, I'm glad you're still alive!
As a woman, I laughed when you said "babe magnets" because heeere I am lmao
Then you know exactly what I mean :p
Yup we like them because they're pretty and mysterious.
@@mindlesskittles like u guys
They are squishy and cute
Um, speaking as a woman, if you're dating people who are fascinated by imprisoned creatures held captive in a chunk of plastic, you are not fishing in the upper levels of the gene pool. I think you're video does an excellent job of letting people know there are easier and cheaper ways to attract the simple-minded. I am impressed by the effort you put in and your analysis. Good job!
The hatred of jellyfish is strong.. and I laughed my head off. Thanks for sharing, put a right smile on my face.
Shyó Glad to hear it :)
i've always wanted jellyfishes and a while ago i'd been doing all the petshops in town to find a place to order them from and me and my roomie walk in a fish section and oh my god! there is one here! i'm so excited i rush to the cashier to ask her about the jellyfish and she was like "ma'am" it's a plastic toy."
i mean... it would have kind of been the same thing.
hey if your still looking for one jellyfish art has moon jellyfish for 18 to 22 dollars for a small one if you still want one
if you still want a jellyfish i suggest buying the upside down jellyfish. They require minimum feeding because like corals they are photosynthetic. You also dont need a special tank for them but you cant keep anything in that aquarium except upside down jellies cuz they have remote controlled stingers and will sting everything around them.
omg the plastic bags actually look like the jellyfish 😂😂😂
I was pleasantly surprised as well :p
sanjog pawar too bad for the turtles tho
@@Drexxisaperson I’m always picking trash out...
Plot twist: the entire video is just plastic bags in aqauriums
Nor even close
I think I'll have a pet cucumber instead lol. This was a particularly hilarious video and yes it deserves at least 500 👍
Gabriel Montero Id rather have the pet Budweiser 🤣
@@PrestigeReef I'd rather have a pet Jellyfish or Metroid. XDD lol
Sorry to hear what happened to you, mate!
Your pet cucumber won't beat my pet rock
@@PrestigeReef I particularly loved the plastic bags at the end that were tied to look like jellyfish. he's right though, almost the same exact effect. 🤣
I want a pet TV
Laughed out loud at the plastic bags! Awesome video as always!
“They are the worlds most ungrateful pet”
they are losing against cucumbers or even a Budweiser so....
Their beauty is more than enough to fill in the lack of generosity
Me: Wanna check out my jellyfish?
Chick: Yeah sure!
Me: Here it is!
Chick: Wtf is that a plastic bag in water?
yea, he is not bias at all ... lol
Maybe a little...
“Despite our beef, I’m going to remain as unbiased as possible... they are the world’s most ungrateful pet... a floating plastic bag or a bottle of Bud is basically the same without all the hassle.” Way to remain unbiased dude! You had me at beef! 🤣 I enjoyed this vid on so many levels! Thank you.🙏🏾
I Wanted one until i seen this video. I'll just get the plastic bags instead.
😂😂
haha so "funny"
The nurse comment made me laugh so much!
lol it wasnt funny at the time!
i think he will give me a lot back , first its an amazing thing to look at , second they give the room a relaxing ambience , third makes you wonder about the science behind their simple body, forth watching a dangerous creature moves so elegantly and in that smooth way is just incredible
plastic bags pfff🙄😒😔
Pretty damn cool plastic bags
I think jellyfish are pretty cool
I was looking for a low maintenance pet when I thought - "JELLYFISH"! Then I got here, well, never mind.
I’ve never been stung by jellyfish but once I went to Dorset with a friend and at the time, there was a problem with bluebottle jellyfish in the sea and getting stranded on beaches. We were very careful where we stepped when fossil hunting...
They pack a powerful punch too
Thank you for educating me!!! I was going to remodel my living room with 6' bean bags, LAVA LAMPS, paper lanterns, and Jelly Fish. It's a cool idea, but did NOT know how much work they take. Your story is incredible! I'll stick to my LAVA LAMPS! Thank you....
Probably a good idea :)
If you *really* want to do jellyfish, a great alternative would be a digital frame with a video of them on a loop.
I'm glad you've managed to keep a sense of humor about your injury, that sounds like a really rough day for sure. Glad you recovered and thanks for the info. ✊ #SolidarityFist
I just wanted to say I love your videos so much and yet again this video did not disappoint! I have recently subscribed after watching many of your amazing fish and wildlife videos. I recently subscribed to your channel because I had been watching your fish videos for a while a truely loved them and they always make my day. I hope to be lucky enough to obtain a saltwater aquarium but until then I will keep loving and researching through this channel. Keep up the great job and I wish you the best in 2020.
Well I want a pet plastic bag but I don't know the difference
lol :p
Beautiful video man. I love your sense of humor - brightened my day!
This was a really fun video, they keep getting better and better
Thank you :)
U don’t just go to the sea and pick a jellyfish u like or see, here’s a tip:only pet moon jellyfishes or mushroom cap jellyfishes they r completely harmless and also if u want someone to keep u company but don’t want to spend much time with it just keep these creatures bc they don’t really have a brain so they won’t need people to keep petting them and playing with them 😉
was literally about to buy a whole set and I watched ya video right before...you saved me a lots of problems!
Out of the thousands of videos I've watched on UA-cam I've never laughed so hard when he said you can get a similar effect from plastic bags I'm 100% getting a jelly fish!
Great video, hopefully you can learn to forgive the jellyfish with time!
A couple of tips about keeping jellyfish that may be useful to everyone: when using dry jellyfish foods, make sure they are fully hydrated before feeding! We recommend letting the food sit in a cup of tank water for 5 minutes before feeding.
Also with jellyfish foods: dry foods are super potent. Like serious jellyfish steroids. To prevent water fouling and overfeeding, feed them just a little each day. It takes roughly a fifth of the dry food to feed them compared to live brine shrimp. A lot of people make the mistake of over feeding their jellyfish.
Keep the videos coming!
I'm curious. How do you know of you're overfeeding a jellyfish....
@@alexissanchez2870They become Jellyer fish
I've always wanted to keep them
Give it a go :)
"You can get a pretty similar effect with plastic bags in a tank" That was pretty good XD
I NEED JELLYFISH. I ALLWAYS DO IF I DON'T HAVE THEM!!!!
Sounds like you may be an expert
@@PrestigeReef but i still don't have a jellyfish tank :/
“the nurses were impressed” that sent me
00:43 okay this is my frist video watching from you and i already love your sense if humor lol
I love that you were 100% real with us at the end thanks giving us alternative options😂
My husband and I laughed our asses off when you said “plastic bags” so casually 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣
They´re so Majestic.
Every thing was swelled up , nurses was impressed . You funny 😂😂
The plastic bag had me on the floor lololol
Good to see it had the desired effect :p
This was a really honest and insightful video that had completely deterred me from getting a jellyfish. Thank you lol 🙏
SAME
The longer I watch UA-cam videos on saltwater fish, the more I'm glad that HD cameras are a thing and I can just watch them.
I'll just keep my jellyfish lamp...
lol might be wise :p
I see these Moon Jellies at the Pet Shows, they show people how to care for them and sell the tank and jelly fish at the show.
The ending to this video. Gold. Absolute GEM! 🤣
Great advice about the live food
I think it helps keep the water clean so much that its worth it
Great video mate. Good stuff.
Thank you :)
Hilarious how I got traumatized and stung by a box jelly as a toddler and now obsess over jellies as a teenager 😂
Just subscribed. Hello from Israel. I'm a reefer-wannabe. Have had freshwater all my life. I'm in the research phase learning all I can. Love your videos. You really come up with some wonderful zingers! Laughed outloud with the bag comment and then took the trouble to video them. Too much! Love it.
Welcome to the team :D
@@PrestigeReef I have to ask you one question does the moon jellyfish have 8 rhopalia and each of these rhopalia has two eyes is that true cause I looked up in Google and this is what it said
free palestine
Dude you’re so funny. Subbed 😂🤙🏼
Welcome to the team :)
I choked on my drink and projected it all over my phone at the plastic bag part. Well played well played!
lol had to be done
Great video, cheers!
Do I want one as a pet?
*No* : I'm actually terrified of the demonic plastic bags.
I'm honestly just curious about them despite the fear they instill into me.
-Also fun fact the boxjellyfish (all of them) have eyes. They can see.-
lol this made me smile
The videos are so much better when they are funny
lol I try my best :P
I have a tank of Budweiser… it gives me so much love back
Great idea for a video.. keep them coming
Thank you :)
Yes. I do want one, I always have. I always will want one. I don't care if they sting. Tbh though I only want moon jellies or comb jellies. When I was a little girl and moved to the USA from Poland, I was swimming in the ocean in Florida with thousands of comb jellies and it was the most amazing experience in my life. They fill me with a profound sense of peace and joy. I'm grateful for these creatures.
hilarious and helpful dude 🤣
he said the nurses where very impressed im screaming🤣🤣
lol :p
This is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. With so many UA-cam longplay videos of jellyfish, I think I'll stick to using my TV as my "aquarium." An HD camera beats the hell out of maintenance every time.
glad i found this channel. keep it up!
Welcome to the team :)
If it’s the moon jelly I would be fine to have it as a pet
They have been on my bucket list for a long time
And great story btw
It didnt feel like a great story at the time :p
Very cool!!! Great work!! Nice video!!!
Thank you :)
This was by far the funniest video I've watched in awhile
I try my best 🤣
lmao ok so
im already keeping dwarf seahorses (also ungrateful) & have two separate brine hatcheries going 24/7
i think im gonna go for it honestly
you can see the hatred in his eyes when he was detailing the jellyfish incident
Love these videos with you more involved then ever note taken though no jellyfish for me.🤣
KC Reefs probably wise :p
Yeah boy I got this
You're not suppose to pee on your Jellyfish sting, the chemical reaction could actually make it worse by making a chemical reaction telling the poison to release further.
Then I'm very glad I didnt :p
As an Australian I can clarify that what you’re explaining is a Box Jellyfish, these are very rare near beaches that we go to
And one of the most dangerous jellyfishes that humans know of.
YES!
It's weird how an invasive species that dominates habitats can be so sensitive in captivity. Jellyfish seem to capture the worst of all worlds, aside from looking cooler than plastic bags.
I was stung on my legs during a family trip, spent two weeks pissed at the ocean and now I'm researching how to keep jellies like a madwoman lmao.
This whole video was just funny as hell 😆😆😆
lol I try my best :p
Nice video mate
Sharron Lamb Thank you 😊
Can confirm, a lava lamp is also a baby magnet
That’s funny when the novelty where’s off that’s soo true
Great eye opener. I guess
I don’t really want a jelly fish tank.
I’ve heard of freshwater jellyfish, what about those? And are there beneficial tank mates for jellyfish? Like a certain breed of dwarf shrimp that breed rapidly enough to feed the jellies and keep the tank clean?
Yeppp I still REALLLLY. want some
By 2:14 when he says “and they are made of 95% water” I felt like he was saying 😂 “you wanna have a being that’s only 5% stuff?? C’mon”
British Man: Tells a story about getting badly stung while swimming in Australia
Everyone else: sympathetic cringing
Australians: Uproarious laughter.
Ya... I almost fell into that trap😂
However I would still love to get some comb jelly’s. I don’t know anyone who has or had a comb jelly tank 🤷♂️
2PLEEZ Coral Reefs • I see those all the time in the beaches in Florida.
Very enjoyable
Thank you :)
Yes
I choked on my drink when you showed the plastic bags at the end 😂😂😂
nurses were impressed... At least you saw the silver lining! Too funny
Very interesting video. I will be Great have one of this marvelous creature at home. Thanks for sharing!!!
My pleasure :)
Now this is just hilarious
yes ❣
yes
Hi, is it possible to have jelly fish in the same tank as other exotic fishes like koi fish, most exotic fishes you see in aquariums, turtles, baby sharks, etc and do they require fresh or salt water?
5:33 those jellyfish are beautiful!
Can you do a vid on how they are doing now. ? Just wondered if they were still alive or a short term thing
loooooool!!! I laughed so hard with the plastic bag joke!
They look so beautiful and I bet it's relaxing to watch them float around. But it's so much work! And what happens if you have to go away for a week? A friend needs to be trained on how to grow the shrimp etc, and be willing to commit to feeding them at least once a day... Also it's not cheap to buy all the equipment and their life span is up to a year.
I've been looking into keeping JF for a week or so. I'm baffled by the size of the tanks that shops are offering with their kits. Space wise do they not need much? I understand the need high rather than width but I'm still on the fence if I want them. I mean if love them however I can't afford upwards of £1000 for the massive tanks 🤣
jellyfish are made of 95% water, beer is made of 95% water, therefore jellyfish is beer
