Also because their aggressive nature actually. If they're like the guppies they could all share a big tank. Guppies are colourful and have the similar type of beauty with bettas. But they are more easy going (and breed a lot), so maybe people tend to forget them due to how common they are.
@@newname3718 They actually can live in a big tank with others as long as they have their own place. I have 2 male bettas in one big tank together with 4 guppies, 4 platy, 2 hillstream loaches and 2 common pleco. They all have their spots and hiding places and never fight. They have been together for a long time now already.
My betta is quite happy in his 19g tank, i got him yesterday and he made a bubble nest today, soon he will have some snail friends and corys to keep him company.
Usually the betta fish in little jars at the store are babies or ready to be sold in about 1-2 days.
I am glad that betta fish is the most beautiful fish in the world !!

Guys on long dress, girls on mini. Guppies have similar "choice of dressing" too, but people tend to prefer bettas, probably due to bettas nature to fight.

betta is the only reason i got into fish, and got one 10 gallon tank for just one betta, people tell me i am a fool to buy a large tank for single fish and i tell them i like them to have as much as freedom i can give.
Betta fish is the king. You have to treat king well. Forgot stupid people . They are the one who keep beeta in a jar or keep 10g tank with overcrowded fish population.
You can keep goldfish or freshwater angelfish but goldfish leads high ammonia so keep your water always clean.

Betta is a beautiful one and i already haved one as a kid, but if i remember myself he was very savage to the other fishes i used to have, and if we put another fish on he's aquarium he would eat the fish. I'm not sure tho, that's what i remember peoples told me, i'm not specialized on fishes.

I once had a cuddle fish named bubbles because he would swin up to the tiny waterfall thing in his tank and he would eat the bubbles, it was the cutest thing. Sadly he passed away last year

I loved Bettas for years...but when I saw a mandarin for the 1st time in 2017, I was knocked out...it was straight out of a Disney Cartoon !....took me a whileto accept that God really gave us this fish......there are Bettas more beautiful than the ones you showed here....but they don't outshine the Mandarin...God is the real Disney.
