    Totally loved the way and mastery in wich you treat your jellyfish, and the way you hatch the shrimps, how do you prepare the water for the hatching?

    Been contemplating on setting up a jelly tank for some time and it's been making me nervous. Can't think why when I've done reef tanks for years but your videos have really helped to give me that one last nudge to just go ahead and do it. Thank you!

      ReefDudes dumb question: how important is lighting for jellies? In other words, do they need a specific photoperiod or does it not matter?

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  6 років тому +1

      They do not need light. The lights for you when your around to watch them :)

      ReefDudes thanks! I figured as much but wasn’t entirely sure. I have that same setup so I’m copying your process to a tee. Just ordered that hatchery and I have saltwater on the way!

      Same. I feed some of my fresh water fish with brine every ones in a while. They are great for little cichlid fry. I might take a look as I'm unable to seperate unhatched eggs from the actual brine... So I am very wary with feeding brine to my fish...

    Can you do a video or provide info on the setup process you are using to get those harvests? I have this same hatchery and my harvests are no where near the size of yours. I have so few that I get about one feeding per basket. I have used both 30ppt and 25ppt and have been sticking to 3 scoops.

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  7 років тому +1

      I use around 1.020 (same as i use in my jelly tank) I used about 75% of the little white scoop that came with it.

    Does refrigerating the live brine kill them? Or do they go into hibernation?

  • @ElenaLopez-qd6lc

    You know how you could reuse your brine shrimps by putting them in the refrigerator for 4-5 days can you do that for the dried Jelly food to or no?

    • @ReefDudes
      @ReefDudes  4 роки тому +1

      Elena Lopez I would just mix it up as you need it. Can’t say I ave tried that one
