  • Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
    I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
    Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
    Have fun watching the video!

The word “patience” comes from the word hupomene, which is a compound of the words hupo and meno. The word hupo at the beginning means under, and meno means to stay or to remain. When you put these two words together, the Greek word means endurance or to stay under.
So he is just staying under the lifestyle he has. Doing something everyday creates big things.

Hand tools lol. There is totally not a concrete mixer in the background. And the colour shift in the concrete is totally not due to him switching to the easy method after he got his shots of him mixing it by hand.
And the boot prints are actually from the chicken.

Duong, you asked if I see you as a farmer. The answer is yes. I don’t know about farmers in other countries but here in America, farmers have to be able to do all the things I’ve seen you do. The difference is that American farmers have tractors and combines, and a wide assortment of tools and motorized equipment to do the work I see you do with your hands and back. I’ve watched you make your tools, from knives and heavy machetes to axes, bow saws, shovels, and hoes. You have hewn your own lumber and made concrete. And now you’ve made a weaver’s lewn and woven 90 meters of cotton linen fabric. No wonder your wife treasures you. You protect her and your daughters with your industry and enterprise and you honor your parents and your family name.

Hi Duong! It’s so nice to see a new video! I was was expecting to see what you had woven with your loom, and what you used the cloth for. So hoping to see you finish that story line. : )
I had noticed in your wife’s videos that the upper pond was dry and wondered what had happened. I hope that this application of mortar on the bottom will fix the leaks! : ) That area of the pond will make a nice wading area for your children. Activities and chores that they can do at the farm will help them learn more about caring for the farm animals and growing things in the garden.
I am not sure I understand why you laid those dry palm leaves on the new garden beds. If you are using them as a mulch on top that will gradually break down and decompose, it probably would be better to have chopped those up before layering them on the beds. That way you can plant through them easier. The rest of those dried palm leaves could also be chopped up and put into a pile near your garden beds so it will be handy when you need more mulch. : )

You are an authentic Peasant-Farmer, in all the Nobility of this way of life. You live in Nature and with Nature.
Your home is Natural, everything that makes up your life is Natural. You live smart. Since you started, you have been in the REAL.
In the 4-year-old Full, you talk about failure, no, nothing is failure. Everything is a success. he who notices his weakness is only stronger. you just have to start again from what seems to be a failure to improve and see the Flowering until the Flourishing. Review, Resume and Continue; for those who have the means and you have the Means (will-Capacity-Intelligence, Nature, Space)

Only the proud one is in failure: because he is proud, but you are not a proud one. See you

#primitiveskills you are going to have to relay that concrete bed, it needs structural support, and the earth beneath it was not compacted. The weight of the water is going to push the middle, crack it, water will leak and form a cavity, then it will will collapse in on it self.

Thank you for sharing your days. I always imagine that you will encounter some dangerous animal when you touch dry plants or pull them out of the ground.
