  • Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
    I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
    Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
    Have fun watching the video!

    Hey Duong!!!
You should try creating pottery and selling that on the market!
Vegetables are great and all, but you can utilize your skills and make more interesting things!
Make baskets, cages, boxes, iron knives and you could sell all of those!
If you find some quartz, you can crush quartz into a power and use it to create glass too!

    - make a carpet
    - make cooking oil (you can sell it at the market too!)
    - make salt to sell on the market
    - make pottery to sell on the market
    - weave baskets to sell on the market

You should let the chickens peck through the garden after the plants have matured enough. They would have eaten the bugs, and help fertilize the soil.

If you could learn how to make cooking oils from the wild and process it and keep some cooking oils around and sell those too that would be a good idea. I don't know how you're going to make or get the containers for them though. I don't know how cooking oil is processed myself. But you could use it to deep fry your chicken in it and start making good chicken. What do you think you'd have to grow to get cooking oil from it? Vegetable Oil. Olive Oil. Peanut Oil. Canola Oil. Oils and Herbs would be good to have. Rosemary Herbs. Parsley. Chili Peppers. Basil. Thyme. Garlic. Onion. But I don't know where you'd have to go or shop to get all those seeds at. You'll know more about where to get seeds. You can probably buy things at the market that contain seeds to expand what you're growing if you wanted to. Only do what you can handle. You have alot going on now to manage for just one person. Family should help you sometimes.

I watched a video of cooking oil making machine and it's like a grinder of some sort. I don't know if you could make something like it that is powered by the water wheel or not. It might be possible to make some kind of water wheel grinder processor to make cooking oils. They grounded up a bunch of seeds to make it.

If you grow and dry your own spices, you can also make more money selling those!
In ancient times, there were trade routes established between many peoples, and some of the things that were traded there were:
Wooden carvings, spices, silk, cotton, precious metals, oils, jewellery, metal tools...
With the kind of skills you have, you can easily produce higher quality goods that you can sell at the market and make quite a bit of money doing it!
You can even make bamboo wind chimes, wooden bead jewellery, wooden bowls or clay bowls, pots, cups, wooden jewellery boxes, woven bamboo/rattan baskets, ropes, chairs, corn flour, rice flour...
    Don't only sell vegetables!!!
