Could this not be part of the editing ...... Show scale/name of railway on screen. Please, please, pleease..... Couldn't tell the difference between O and OO when its modelled outside maybe a ruler to show size.
With that sandal and sock combo, you can clearly see Trevors living his best life
It’s lovely to hear the sounds coming from the locomotives, especially the steam trains. I love the sight and sound of the dear old steam locomotive.
Mike waving at the train as it left the tunnel lol love it lol
Richard made sure to leave that bit in haha
The iron bridge at 30:19 is the Swiss (not Austrian) Bietschtalbrücke, The Bietsch Valley Bridge is a double-track railway bridge on the southern ramp of the Lötschberg mountain line in the Swiss canton of Valais. The ascent leads over the bridge from Brig to Goppenstein, the southern portal of the old Lötschberg tunnel. The Faller brothers, manufacturers of accessories for model railways, offer the Bietsch Valley Bridge in two sizes due to its striking and unique appearance. The model in nominal size H0 is 1100 mm long and 255 mm high.
It’s lovely to hear that wonderful humpalumpa from the Class 37!!
Brilliant watch
Thanks
Exactly!! Precisely what makes a wonderful layout!! Very attractive!!
My favourites are the steam locomotives. I hate the smell of the diesel locomotives, but absolutely adore steam!! There’s nothing more exciting than running along behind a good steam locomotive on a carriage.
Take a look at the Hoddesdon Model and Railway Club!! We have 5”, G-Scale, 0 Gauge, 00 Gauge and N Gauge on our premises, and we love having our visitors!!
Wonderful! Some stunning layouts!
Thanks Marcus
Your Western Banks O gauge Garden Railway is epic~
Thanks William
Just found this channel today and I can’t stop watching the videos. So awesome. Thanks guys. You have a new subscriber.
Possibly my favourite video of the year, fantastic job guys - loved every second of it! I’m now pondering how my models would go in the garden 🤔
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice production. Thank you.
Very special. Thank you.
Thanks Tom
Fantastic, really enjoyed this
Thankyou for a great video. It was a breath of fresh air looking a different area of modelling. The garden layouts were amazing and run so smooth. I look for to the other garden railings in key model world.
Thoroughly enjoyed that, nicely done! Thanks for posting....garden railways rule!!
You're very welcome
Great content guys! These shows keep getting better and better! Really enjoy them!
Thanks Harry
Most enjoyable video, and some great layouts. Thank you Hornby Magazine
Thanks John
Beautiful
fantastic video gentlemen. i really enjoyed it. thank you
Thanks Andy!
Thank you for a 1h30m relax with a cup of tea
Thats deserving of a few biscuits too 😋
That Rydale Railway looks awesome.
Fantastic,,,,,,simple but wonderful
Great video, something a bit different to enjoy. The 5inch gauge looked great fun! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Absolutely superb video, very much enjoyed all the layouts shown, and the background music just added to it. Very peaceful and tranquil.
Glad to hear it Mark
Absolutely Awesome. One of the best UA-cam video's I've seen in AGES!
Excellent work guys, you really covered each layout in depth and did each one justice in your coverage.
I'll definitely watch this again. It really cheered me up. Thank You 😀👍
Thanks Dave, really pleased to hear you enjoyed it!
Mike your layout was my favourite simple but effective 👌
Glad you enjoyed it amongst tuff competition
Fantastic video!! Just WOW! :D
Great stuff!
Great video today .Got my support.
Thank you for a great video
i love Hornby trains and ive always dreamed of having a huge railway in my GARDEN BUT IVE NEVER HAD THE MONEY
Excellent video thankyou
Thanks Mark
Nice job everyone🚂
excellent show
Thanks Ben
Really enjoyed the show ... superb layouts ... and many thanks editing it together! It’s getting me a bit tempted to have a garden railway ... would be fun to have different gauges next to each other ... OO, O Gauge and 5 inches! 👍
Multigauge layouts do exist
I wonder if Kato N gauge Unitrack would make it possible to have an N gauge garden layout? Would still be a challenge, but would open garden railways up to those with smaller gardens.
Brilliant video as ever gents, some absolutely superb garden railways there, and has definitely given me an incentive of building a garden railway in the future when permitted by the parents. Have to say I've never shown an interest in 5" gauge but it's absolutely wonderful seeing you can ride your own locomotive, also very tempting. Keep up the good work and stay safe
Cheers
James
Thanks as always James
This is OO Ranch. All you see , I have created!. Master of all and Chief administrator. All we ask is respect . Who plays the music ?. Bet a club member !. Iff you make a train mounted cocktail bar , instruct her in doors to top it up when it comes back. Sit and watch your creation . 😮 Thanks playmates.. Dave
Wow that was amazing. Thanks guys. The wife still said no!
😉🚂👍
Forgiveness is easy to get than permission 😅
Wonderful.
Thanks Steve
Great video
I was actually working on my 0 gauge garden railway when this started. I'm working on getting more wood down to extend it, approaching the stage where I'll need to do a big removable bridge across the patio area. I'm also working on adding jumpers across the rail joints, almost half the layout done now. Also I wired up some RCA plugs for easy removal of the controller. I'm DC, and have found that the 08 can run on really quite mucky track, assuming there are no leaves or petals on there, and the 14xx is similar. I need to get some sort of track cleaning wagon, not sure what's out there.
Looking forward to getting my 3rd loco, a dapol 57xx, soon. Also a B-set is a hope for around christmas, once I have a job.
Love the 00 model of 2002, looks super imposing with the extra deflectors. And the LNER green EM1 and ex-GER veranda coaches are also great. Loving the red bridges too.
I'm now considering adding a tunnel on the layout. One part has an issue of plant growth obscuring the track almost every time I start running stuff, so I'm thinking if I add a tunnel mouth at either end and then cover the middle bits by flexible clear plastic, it should prevent this and allow free running.
Ha enjoy!
Thank you
You're very welcome
HM shows here on UA-cam are getting better and better - who needs TV with this kind of quality dedicated content. I think I need to get my Airfix Magazine changed over to HM sometime - would that be possible, given both are Key Publishing?
You can but it you're a subscriber you can view both as part of Keymodelworld 😁
@@hornbymag Yes, in theory - though I'm sure when I last tried using Airfix Mag subscription (this a paper sub to be fair) it didn't let me in to either Airfix or Hornby Mag aspect. I'll need to look again though, as that was some time ago.
@@DrAl60103 easy fix, if you pop an email to: orders@keypublishing.com they'll be able to assist.
A railway that started on a door in Rugby in '79 has grown into an indoor/outdoor tourist attraction on the other side of Canada with visitors from all over the world. To see it click on the logo.
Great video as always, but it would have been nice to see a garden railway featuring 16mm/SM32 narrow gauge live steam.
Absolutely loved the video guys! Would love to see you visit my local miniature railway in Ruddington, Nottingham. I know they’d appreciate some publicity as the Nottingham Heritage Centre and Great Central Railway continue their fundraising to reconnect their railways!
Thanks Harry, if you could get in touch via our Facebook page that would be something we'd love to arrange. 😊
Great video as always, lads. Very interesting content, beautifully shot. What more could you ask for?
More of it haha
@@hornbymag Good point! It's high time I take out a subscription to Key Model World.
Chelgassa is a beautiful layout!! Not for a communal garden like mine, though!! Mine’s just a temporary single oval of Mamod live steam!!
Heavy rain must cause havoc with these outdoor tracks.
Watch these videos there relaxing 😎
The setup in the garden was amazing to see.
Never really got into Hornby model trains preferred the LIMA brand
But still have a Brand New Hornby ZERO 1 Transformer in it's original box ??
Have plenty of Brand New LIMA stored away for who knows what reason ??
I doubt my son would be interested, maybe he can sell it all after i am gone, LOL.
I had plans of building a big layout never actually got around to finishing it.
Great to relive some past times
Maybe i can get around to building my layout in my next life, LOL.
You're never too old ❤
Fantastic content as ever keep up the good work. 👍🏻 question time - I’m starting an adventure into o gauge garden railways can you guys recommend a good wireless DCC handset as it will be an end to end setup with run round loops at either end thus a permanent static controller not being much help?
Thanks in advance! 🙏
Great video. I loved the piano music used on the first layout. Please can you let me know what it is? Very best wishes, Adrian
Great garden, Mike. Do you ever have an open day?
I haven't but who knows
What, no Gauge 1? ☹ The most accessible live steam scale, and electrics with sound too!
How are 00 gauge garden Railways powered?
How did he make the road bed on the HO garden railway?
Is that system usable on the American model railroad like HO scale or g scale or double o scale or even n scale
Fascinating. Triple gauge double slips must be complicated! How powerful are 3 1/2 " engines?
As a general rule they can pull a rake with anything up to 12 people on
@@hornbymag wow
@@CheekyFest including Richard so that says it all! 😄
One of my Future Layouts is going to be The Severn Valley Railway and the other is going To be the Battlefield and Mangapps Valley Light Military Railway along with a Narrow gauge Railway that Runs from Poppy Halt and to Arlesburgh which isn't based on any Real Heritage railways
Great stuff lewis
@@hornbymag Thank you for taking your time to read my comment
I notice that railway buffs are so fastidious regarding who takes a photo to the point of being hysterical if it’s not given. When it comes to music, suddenly (and strangely) this copyright and ip consideration evaporates and never given a second thought…. Does anyone know who is the composer of the piano music in the O gauge railway segment? Wonderful railways and modelling throughout.
Do wish there was at least 60 FPS in this Video but good one anyway
My one question for garden rail: what about the weather? Rain? Mist? Hail?
The railways are fine, we just have to wait for another day to play trains
@@hornbymag what about colour washing out? rust?
Apologies to the gentleman who messaged me on messenger with questions about the bridge over the drive but I have mislaid your message. If you could re message me I’ll answer the questions, regards Chris Spring.
Hornby should build trains to compete with LGB
Good idea 💡
1. You need to remove the phrase "as well" from your vocabulary. 2. Your channel is fantastic. 3. What's the lovely piano piece that starts about an hour in when the 5 inch railway is on? Ah got it. Airy Fairy Heart by Franz Gordon.
Glad your sorted 👍
Diesel's just don't look good. In real life or as models. Steam engine models are beautiful though. Get more of those
