A very good show, guys!! Loads of fun and some very attractive trains!!
Nice video guys, thank you. Good to see you all back together again too! I still think that the three levels of the layouts should be named Topley Dale, Middle Dale and Bottomley Dale. Three fun, yet authentic sounding, layout names. Thanks again.
Great choices
Given the number of older diesels present I think that the 0 gauge test track should be called Claggerton!
Excellent video lads lots of information the o gauge extension will look great thankyou for the video
Thanks Mark
Thanks for another good video - great to see 'Smiths' shown in there. Lovely little shop well worth supporting!
Great couple running a great shop!
I have been thoroughly enjoying the content on this channel, keep up the great work team !! :-)
Thanks Matt
I think you guys have run into the same problem as me no space! A great video though I do enjoy watching you 2 get up to next.
What a wonderful idea!! A Bulleid Week!! The Bulleid Light Pacific, along with the Merchant Navy Class.
Loved this epps great to see the new Build and More O is great I don't have O myself but I do like it just no room for that size thank you Team
You're very welcome!
Thanks for making my day
Great to hear!
Brilliant video as ever gents, look forward to seeing the completed project on the 0 gauge. I have to say I do really like the name Middledale, or as an alternative name to a prototype station, Middlers dale based off Millers dale near Buxton, or High Middleton. Keep up the good work and keep safe
Cheers
James
Some great suggestions there James
Great fun guys i enjoyed the show..
Thanks as always Alan
Im still watching so far amazing
You're welcome
Wonderful bumper episode with a great mixture of topics. I would probably go for "Lower Dale". lol.
Cheers Mark
Great video guys really enjoyed the O Gauge extension build
Nick Australia
Thanks Nick!
Great stuff lads 👍👍
Cheers chap
Very nice video, Richard, you are getting the hang of making them and thanks for leaving the outtakes in. As for a name for the O gauge layout how about "Underdale" Martin. (Thailand).
Good choice Martin, thanks for the comment as always!
OMG I love "Western Ranger"
Thanks
Great vid and some great new releases, I think the name underdale would be good for the O guage
Thanks Dave!
Given how ambitious you guys are I'm surprised you didn't build a giant helix to connect it up to the bottom line 😂 Great video though! Looking forward to seeing the track plan develop and scenery start to emerge 👍
We haven't built one... yet ;-)
@@hornbymag 😂
It's looking good
Cheers
I definitely agree with the "Midley Dale" name.
Thanks James!
Just curious as I have a 16 by 12 foot spare room .... what radius curves are you using and does all your stock cope OK?
I've got the hornby SR green maunsell gangway brake luggage van, is fantastic although I had to bend the brake pads away from the wheels on 2 wheels I think to make it fully free rolling. I've got a 4CEP in plain green, so a 4BEP to match would be awesome, but probably a bit expensive for me atm. I'd also love one of those vans, since I like collecting different brake vans. The hattons genesis coaches look fantastic, but I'll wait for NCB in the 2nd batch or NER in the 3rd batch; I've got a hornby LNWR full brake, with the 4 6-wheelers to match on their way to my local shop for me.
2002 looks so menacing with those extra deflectors, love it. I'd get 66773 if it was bachmann or hattons, but the hornby model is a bit basic, and a shame hornby's pride pendolino is only 9 and not 11 coaches. Defo getting 800008 though.
The 0 gauge extension looks great. I've actually been doing a lot of 0 gauge this month, having bought and weathered 3 dapol 16t wagons (one of which I had to renumber thanks to the enamel washes disintegrating the printed numbering) and also having bought and built and weathered a parkside 16t wagon. As well as buying wood and roofing felt and preservative, building a 30'ish extension to the 0 gauge garden railway with it (the track is yet to arrive, and next up is the wiring).
I do like the name Middley Dale, since the garden layout must be Bottomley Dale.
Gonna be cool for Topley Dale to be a similar size to my Ashbrooke Central.
Great video, as always.
Thanks for the comment, Richard calls the garden railway 'Windy Bottom'
Hi Guys 👍 the O gauge is looking very promising. Can’t wait to seem more. As for a name how about Under Dale TMD.
keep safe guys
Regards
Andy
Thanks Andy!
What radius are the curves on the O gauge test track? They look quite tight.
Great show as ever guys, I have a question regarding the double main line curve, are they flexi track?.
Yes they are 😊
Great video as always. If you have Topley Dale could you have Lowley Dale?
Good choice!
Great Video... What is the track you are using? I'm starting to think through an o gauge Garden Layout. I looked on-line and see two Peco Flex Track Options, any pointers on the differences and which I should go with? (Probably a code 100 equivalent in OO) as I have a couple of older Basset Lowke O Gauge live steamers Id want to run. Another question - I'm a Subscriber to the web-sie, but I don't see any options top get the "physical" Magazine mailed to the US?
Its Peco O gauge Bullhead flexi track. In terms of the physical magazine you can subscribe or order from our store with worldwide delivery: shop.keypublishing.com/issue/View/issue/HM0169
Which Warship Class is that? We had a visit from a Warship last year at the Epping Ongar Railway.
Do you have a trackplan and name for this layout?
Test track name good be lowley dale, or shelfton, kneeling, my personal favourite is kneel lane
Thanks Gavin
O Gauge fans going "Woot, woot!" coupled with the major revamp, ergo Wooten Major.
Thanks!
I am an ex Pilot and aeroplane(including RC Models) fanatic but since watching these videos I may need to reset my interests to zero. I have already spent over £1000 on 00 Gauge DMU's so I need a DCC Controller for my brain !
Haha happy to help Roy
I'm wondering if it would be possible to make a loco lift to take locos from the test track to the garden railway, without lifting them off the layout?
You could, would need to be huge as the rakes on the garden line are massive.
@@hornbymag oh, I do forget how large O gauge actually is! 😂😂
The names that thought of was Corfield or Midvale.
Good choices
Middleton Yard seems like a good name to me
Good choice!
Calle it Middledale or Middale or something. I like that XD
Good choice
“Ailing Back”
Ha! Thats great.
You should build a station and call it topply dale low
Underdale Yard? Topley/Middley Vale?
Thanks!
How about Kneeldale?
Oooo good one!
How about "Underwood" for a layout name ?
Good one Bob
The O gauge test track could be called the The Great Midland Main Line.
Oooo that works
What’s the difference betwee
What is the difference between O gauge and G scale in the UK
G Scale is considerably larger. G Scale runs on 45mm wide track, O Scale runs on 32mm wide track.
You can google "Model railway scale comparison" to see images that show the size difference.
Thanks Rob
where has the coffee machine gone richard not having withdrawal systems
Don't you worry, I put that straight back! 😉🤣
HOPE RICHARD IS NOT LAYING THE TRACK.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Keeps things interesting 🤪
What’s the difference betwee
Almost
Kneely mid view dale.
Thanks David!
Aww bless. They tried to make themselves look.vid funny but they only made themselves look gay 🌈
What’s the difference betwee
What is the difference between O gauge and G scale in the UK
Hello Timothy Keinard,
'O Gauge' is 32mm or 1.25inch gauge, modelling to 1:43.5 in the UK and France, 1:45 in the rest of mainland Europe, and 1:48 in the USA, generalised to 7mm:1foot, representing standard gauge (4feet 8.5inch gauge) prototypes.
Whereas 'G Scale' - as I see you will already know from you picture - is 45mm or 1.75inch gauge, modelling at around 1:22.5 scale, representing roughly 3ft or metre gauge, narrow-gauge prototypes... Unless you use 64mm or 2.5inch gauge track to model standard gauge in the same scale, which is known as 'Gauge 3'.
For the sake of completeness, I'll add that using the same 1.75inch track as G Scale, but modelling standard gauge prototypes at 1:32 (10mm:1foot) is called 'Gauge 1'.
Hope this answers your question?
Take Care,
Thanks Micheal
