These Kingdom death monster tutorial videos are incredibly well done and I'm so glad that you created them! I also thought it was really cool how in every single video you intentionally referenced the player as she/her instead of he/him/they/them. It was an unexpected thing to have you intentionally putting emphasis on the fact that girls can be nerdy board gamers too and I thought it was really cool and thoughtful! I'm fairly new to Kingdom death monster and have started playing the tabletop simulator version of it, but I'm taking a break so I can learn more about the fundamentals of the game before I begin again. I've always enjoyed hearing people explain games versus reading the rules myself over and over so this has been a big help to me! Once I continue playing Kingdom death it will be much easier for me to reference the rules after you have taught me a lot about the fundamentals 😁 I'll be checking out your Patreon page since I would like to support you and you seem like a pretty awesome resource of board game information and me and my wife are really into physical/digital board games nowadays! You also won me over with your intentional use of she / her pronouns, which I tend to not consciously think about day-to-day so it was really cool to see you being mindful of that! *high five/brofist, whichever you prefer*
Thanks so much for the very kind words, Grant! I'm so glad you found the videos helpful and that you enjoyed them! KDM is such a fantastic experience and I've found it has only gotten better the more I've played. My strongest advice for KDM is to just keep digging into how everything works together. I'm on my 5th campaign after having 4 die out around LY10 - 15. This is the first campaign where I really felt like I finally had a grasp on a solid strategy to consistently avoid Total Party Kills. I'll be filming my first Watcher fight in about a week! Also thanks for taking the time to look at my Patreon. Just FYI I'm going to be deactivating it soon and restructuring it. I wasn't really sure what to do with it and sorta just did a soft launch and I've never really been happy with it. Thanks again for watching and commenting!
Thank you for this, i have been trying to play this online with and it was just too hard to understand while playing on tabletop simulator, but this has really helped alot. Thank you :D Also every other video or tutorial i had seen was nowhere near as well made as this was.
Just such an awesome series of videos. More KDM players should be watching this! A question if I may- when do you turn the monster to face a targeted survivor? Is it only during move and attack or does it happen during reactions as well? Thanks again:)
Thank you Warren so, so much for such a great compliment! I really appreciate it. A monster will not change it's facing for a reaction unless told to do so (for instance if it read, "Target the farthest survivor and full move toward her," or something like that). Hope that clears it up! Feel free to ask any followups. And thanks for watching!
