    I thought for hit location. They are drawn face down next to the die. Then, the player chooses which one to reveal, one at a time, and resolve them, while the other cards are still face down. Kinda making it like Russian roulette with the cards. Cause if you hit for 5 cards. You KNOW one of them is a trap. Also, it holds the suspense longer during a fight scene.

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  Місяць тому

      Good question. Page 74 of the rules states “The monster controller draws 1 monster Hit Location card for each hit and places them face up in front of the attacking player.”
      This is importantly because if ANY of them are a trap the entire attack ends and the trap is resolved.
      Also, strategically choosing which location to attempt to wound first is a huge part of the overall strategy of the game.

    @Bored Online? Board Offline!
    Hello! One question! around @27:26 when you talk about how a monster moves away from a target or something other that is specified. Should you keep the phasing of the monster? Or should you turn it so its phasing is in the direction that it moves?
    I understand that when a monster is "backing" it does not turn around. But if you are instructed to "Move away from...." you should turn the monster they?
    Also when in the same situation if the monster where to perform a "full move away from then hero in the tall grass" Would you only move a straight line towards the right, or bottom? Or could you move, one space down, one space right and continue in that facion. It would be the same ammount of spaces away from the specific hero, right?

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Viktor! I think you got your answer over on BGG but just to reiterate, yeah I should have adjusted the monster's facing before it moved. In that example I failed to do so. Good catch!

    @ 54:25 I cannot find the rule that you put an AI card into the wound stack when you shuffle the AI deck. Could you tell me on which page that rule is discribed?

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  5 років тому +1

      Hi Tim. At the timestamp you provided I'm talking about what to do if you wound a monster while the AI deck is empty. In that case you shuffle the discard pile to create a new AI deck and then discard the top card.

    Hello, thank you for the hard work! Could you please elaborate a bit on how the "Alert" Mood AI card works:
    1) Does it mean that the survivors basically can't move inside the Zone of Death without getting the priority token and being targeted with Basic Action? e.g. if they are inside the zone when the card comes into play.
    2) Is that correct that the survivors can move only 1 space if they are inside the Zone of Death before the card activates?
    3) Is it discarded after triggered once (i assume it's discarded to AI card pile) or it remains in the Trait/Mood/Persistent injury section?
    Sorry to bother you, but your explanations are the best i could find on UA-cam!

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Adrian. Good questions.
      1) Correct. If a survivor is already within the Zone of Death when the card comes into play as long as they don't move then they won't gain the Priority Target token.
      2) Correct. The first space a survivor moves into within that zone immediately ends their movement.
      3) Alert says once a survivor gains the Priority Target token in this way discard Alert (to the discard pile) and perform the lion's basic action. Alternatively if you could find a way to knock the lion down first Alert would also be discarded.
      Thanks for the questions and if you have anymore feel free to ask!

    29:37 Wait a minute, it means that with more accuracy the monster's attack is less probable?

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  6 років тому +5

      The accuracy stat on an AI card indicates a number the monster must roll (or higher) to hit the survivor. If the monster gains a +1 accuracy token or has +1 accuracy as a permanent stat then the number on the AI card would actually lower in order to make it easier to hit the survivor. So for instance if an AI card had an accuracy of 3+ then the monster hits on a roll of 3 or greater. If the monster gains a +1 accuracy token then using that same AI card the monster would hit on 2+. Alternatively if the monster gains a -1 accuracy token the monster would hit on a 4+ using that same AI card. Hope that makes sense! If you need any further clarification just ask. And thanks for watching!

    One thing I consistently see, but can't wrap my head around, is that 4 spaces away doesn't seem to mean 4 spaces in between, but only three. that just feels and seems wrong though?

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  4 роки тому

      I can see how it could seem a little illogical. For instance in real life if we say, “That building is one mile away,” we can also say, “There’s one mile between me and that building,” and it pretty much means the same thing. But when you’re dealing with a grid like this 4 spaces away will pretty much always be synonymous with 3 spaces between.

    • @asiburger
      @asiburger 4 роки тому +1

      @@BoredOnlineBoardOffline Well you exactly got my point. I come from Wargaming (40k) and 9" away means 9.000000000000000001" away, so if you have to set up 9" away, a weapon with 9" range is NEVER in range, or you cheated while setting up.

    If a monster does 3 attacks and hits on all of them, can you dash away and negate all the hits?

    • @BoredOnlineBoardOffline
      @BoredOnlineBoardOffline  4 роки тому +1

      Good question, Jitters. No you wouldn't be able to do this. Once the monster has hit a survivor the only way to get rid of any of the hits is to dodge. Survivors may dash and surge only during Survival Opportunities. These are:
      -During flows on AI cards
      -Between actions on the survivors' turn.
      -Before performing reactions
      -After critical wound effects
      -When a monster is knocked down
      Hope that helps!
