- What's good fam I took out the is38 mk7 gti today and did some 60-130 runs using the draggy and seeing how fast the is38 is!

I need an is38 in my life 😂 Also not sure if your attached to the golf ball but i'd look into a weighted shiftknob, one of the first mods I did.
Yesssir I theew the stock one back on until the new one comes in. The Cobb one I had was just to short with the short shifter haha
Careful will the 3rd gear. Super easy to miss. I destroyed my synchro and it's 4k plus to for a remanufactured trans. Not many places have necessary tools to take apart the trans for a new synchro. 😢

just blew my IS20 last week, decided to get the EQT IS38+ turbo for the GTI, maybe ill find u roaming the streets and we get some runs in, 7 speed DSG vs Manual

For Dragy runs. Try to run level roads. Straight as well. Or at least have your slope uphill like the onramp. Downhill slopes will invalidate the run.
Yeah it definitely took me a bit to figure it out but I’ll find a better spot where I can actually get clean runs. Appreciate you man
you can do both, if dedicated videos get more views you can try doing 2 - 3 for every vlog

I’m currently FBO is20 and wanting to go IS38. What was the biggest difference you noticed once you upgraded? I hear powerband but TQ Is roughly the same…
Yeah it’s roughly the same just pulls a little less harder but for longer if you know what I mean. I’d say if you can get e85 that with an is38 is the best for the money otherwise I’d just go hybrid if you want to make 400s
The IS38 flows better than the IS20 so the torque curve is wider in the high RPMs. Since power is RPM*TQ/5252, same torque but higher revs means more power, which means faster acceleration. The IS20 spools a little bit quicker but the top end of the IS38 is 100% worth it. It doesn't feel like the engine falls on it's face after 4000 anymore.
vlog is good, you can cut down the straight to the point in some shorts with the same recording. Break down the mods and show the runs in shorts if you think you will get more views that way
