I attempted to install my
Fmic and downpipe yesterday. Bro oh my gosh, these cars are sooo hard to work on. I hate it lol, I’ll be back at it today

Well man you are ahead of me I am still on the IS38, but I had setbacks with needing a second ACT clutch and more recently a new oil pan (screw you speed bumps, thanks a lot). Lets not forget new headlight assemblies at 1300 per side smh (thanks dump truck full of gravel). Hopefully after headlights go in I can get my Vortex. Cheers man. I need to get off my ass and and do videos lol.

Hell yeah love the step by step! Also I installed the eqt grounding kit last weekend and I'm so mad I didn't buy it sooner definitely a game changer especially since I was chasing a misfire at the time. Also that pains me to see how easy those downpipes are when you don't have the golf R tax 😭
Haha yeah dude the grounding kit is just one of those thing I keep forgetting to get 😂 and yessirrr I can drop a dp in about 5 minutes these days 😂
Regarding charge pipes. Clean them and when you re-install. Spray some hair spray on the ends. The hair spray will help the couplers stay on and clamped.

Also, the cardboard for your bolts is far from stupid. That's another amazing life hack. Almost better than bagging imo.

My v-band loosens up overtime too. U can tell by it vibrating around 2k rpm lol think its a side effect of a loud af exhaust lol
Definitely had no idea and I was chasing an over boost issue and couldn’t figure it out 😂😂 I was like ohhhhhhhhhhhh found it

I knowwww I totally spaced it until I was putting the XL in and was like ohhhhhh.. I’ll order then in the next round of stuff 😂
@@ChrisFromKenya haha i had to look at you laundry list of a mod list and realized my boy didn’t have them ! CTS Turbo has a sale on both with stretch bolts for 220$ they are the street 60a duro.

Hahaha I’m glad someone asked this! It’s was literally because I knew it was gonna be parked for 2 weeks and needed to be able to take thumbnails 😂😂 otherwise yes normal people park it where they work
Did you re use the stock wastegate actuator on the vortex xl from the is38? I don’t really wanna spend $300 on a new one if I don’t need it lol
If yours is in working order there should be no reason why you can’t reuse the one you already have
No you should be all set with yours brother. As long as it’s in good shape then just re install it but remember it does have to be tuned to a certain voltage and there’s a specific way to do it.
