I love the bowl, Jim. “Alien” is a good word to describe those seed pods. The array of different textures and patterns you get when you turn them down is amazing. I could look at that piece a thousand times and see something new each time. The epoxy looks beautiful, as always.

So glad you put that black in the green, it made the contrast better. I have seen bowls made with wood pucks, generic. This is so much more interesting! As far as thickness, really, you're not eating your Lucky Charms out of it, it's ART. Neanderthals. Designer Epoxy.

Frankly, all the voids are part of what make this piece so lovely and if you turned all of them away, it wouldn't be as eye catching as it is. The color combination and where they swirl together with the hyper shift is just so dynamic!

The inside of this bowl reminds me of a bouquet of flowers. Sunflowers I think. I really like the way the epoxy fills in the holes left by the seeds, creating little jewels. Glad you figured out how to pour a multicolored piece without the colors totally mixing. It creates spectacular effects.

A bunch of my favourite elements all together! Banksia pods, check. Hypershift, check. Gorgeous complementary colours, check. Aussie theme, check. Lovely thick edge showing off the side details, check. Beautifully balanced placement of the pod pieces, check. Great colour separation but still with some sensational transitional swirly mixing of the colours where they meet, check. Fun video with some interesting explanations of things that can go wrong and how to fix them, check.
