I love how the different levels of resin penetration change the color of the wood. I love hypershift, but adding all the different ones makes the piece look overly busy, at least on my screen. I bet it looks much better in person. Thanks for sharing, as always!

I love the shape of the bowl, most especially the band at the top but also the wood! It is a beautiful piece for sure. I LOVE the hypershifts! Designer Epoxy makes beautiful pigments, but I like that you went with your gut and changed the tone to more of a gold rather than a muted brownish/bronze. That wood is beautiful, the spalted maple pieces always turn out so interesting! Great job, Jim!

I love how the spalted Maple looks. I don't love the color of all the hypershifts mixed together but that's only a personal preference. I've never cared much for gold-ish type colors. It is still super awesome and beautiful! I'm excited to see how you use designer epoxy next week!
