I watch quite a few aviation channels, and I've seen a lot of videos on the vision jet. I think this is the first time I've seen someone actually get in and sit in the pilot seat. That has to be one of the easiest entries to the pilot seat I've ever seen, on any airplane. What a great design.
@@GowthamNatarajanAI I now fly the Citation series aircraft. Several CJ's, and the Citation XL as well. The company I work for moved up to a CJ3+ for better capability than the Vision Jet.

ryan long time no see or hear - your video clips are great - well filmed and awesome - only 1 serious complaint - we want MORE VIDEOS - PLEASE PLEASE - LOVE YOUR VIDEOS - REALLY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much! I have at least one more video that I can release. It will probably come out the first week of August. I also have one more that I'm working on now that I think I will be able to release. The bad news . . . I'm no longer flying Vision jets. The Good news. . . I'm flying something way cooler now. Stay tuned!
Great to see you again. Great editing on the intro. Man, who doesn’t like the Vision Jet? That has got to be the roomiest light jet. Looking forward to your next post.
Much appreciated! Glad to be back. As I mentioned in the video, I'm not able to film a whole lot anymore, but I do think I have another video or two that will be coming soon. For a little bit of a teaser, it is no longer in Vision Jets.
Thank you for the feedback! I've got a couple videos in editing right now that I am hoping to release shortly. One is a full start-finish, and the other is from taxi to finish in Aspen!
I used to own a SR20. Did the transition training in Duluth, Dec. 2005, just after Angelina Jolie did hers. That was the coldest weather I have ever been in. Love the Cirrus aircraft. I would like to see more of the Vision Jet.
The believe that the SF50 is the best Vision Jet. I want to fly in one. It looks awesome. I love the Blue color Let Fly like an Angel in the sky. To see the beautiful sky and the sun which I call Ra.. ✈✈🌅
That's too wild for me! I like my magenta lines. Despite my age, I actually learned to fly before Garmin released the 430, I can can "really fly" as well. Problem now is that I've been spoiled with all this glass!
I can't wait to see it. They've been talking about it since I did my type rating 3 years ago. My company still owns another position for a Vision jet, so we may end up with the big one if they increase the performance and capabilities enough.
That is the maximum cruise for the Vision Jet. What you are seeing on the panel though is just indicated airspeed. The true airspeed is faster, although still slow for this airplane.
Correct, this callsign is filed just like you would a tail number. In this case, I use the callsign so that I don't have to say the aircraft's tail number on this video. This allows for some privacy for the aircraft owner.
No pilot experience here, was wondering how significant the wake turbulence is with 2000 feet separation. The heavy was moving out smartly across your nose to port so it seemed to me should have vectored you to the right.
Wake turbulence can be significant in the right situations. Being in a small airplane like the Vision Jet passing underneath a 747 is a potential problem. You are also correct, that the vector the controller gave me was bad. I definitely should have been vectored to the right. Furthermore, I should have spoken up and requested that instead once she turned me to the left.
@@TheRunwayRyan, a 1,000 feet is standard separation in the terminal environment. But if you were concerned, you should have asked for a deviation to the right or a descent, etc
@@kevinwilliams9917 If you see in the video, I did ask for a deviation. She unfortunately turned me in the worst direction. You are correct though, I should have been more specific about exactly what I wanted, or spoke up more once she turned me to the left.
Thank you! I am a professional pilot. Usually I cannot film at my primary job, so most of these videos are filmed doing contract jobs or while flying my friend's airplanes to help them out.
@@skhalid6597 I've been thinking about doing one of those! It might be just a little bit down the road when I get some more subscribers, but it will be coming at some point.
While it’s a pretty neat looking aircraft, this “jet” might as well be a P46T, in my opinion. When I was feeding one of the other sectors a line of jets from my airspace with an SF50 in the middle of the line, I instructed the aircraft to maintain 250kts and the pilot protested, “we can only maybe maintain 235kts”. You’ve basically got yourself a $2.5 million turboprop with small turbofan that goes “WOOSH”
It is an easy airplane to fly, and it is pretty fun. Other than that however, it is pretty weak. It is VERY limited on what it can carry. It didn't work for my company, so we got something larger. If it is just going to be you and one other person, this plane is pretty good. If you want to carry any more than that, I would look for something else.
thanks, I would mainly be taking my friends and family out on day trips, I have been trying to find a suitable plane for that and from what you have said I think this is the plane for me.
It was because ATC had me pass way too close to a heavy 747, in a really bad spot. They should have had use move or go lower to avoid potential wake turbulence
I might not have caught it all, but I'm not a fan of how the wake turbulence threat was addressed. The nature of wake turbulence makes it safest to cross at 90 degrees to the path of the heavy aircraft. Additionally, the further away from the generating aircraft you are, the weaker the turbulence. So, by turning TOWARDS the heavy, the pilot seems to put himself at higher, not lower risk. Other options were to turn away from the heavy instead of towards it, but that still isn't good. Doing a right 360 would have been better. Climbing to the altitude of the heavy would have been even better. But heading straight through would have been better than following. Just some other thoughts.
Is it kinda scary flying by yourself in the dark like am I moving still or anything like that. I know you have all the instruments to help but just the idea of staring out a pitch black window
I'm going to try my best! I am not able to film at my full time job, so the opportunities are a little bit limited. I've got a couple in the works though!
That 747 was not cool. If they knew it would cross you shouldn't they have dropped you 1 or 2k feet and turned you before it crossed? If they dropped you 2000 ft 4 min before you'd cross almost 1 mile under it and that's much safer. Awesome video. This is my dream plane.

It was because ATC had me pass way too close to a heavy 747, in a really bad spot. They should have had use move or go lower to avoid potential wake turbulence
