Probably an unpopular opinion, but I loved character satisfaction, interpersonal relations and court position mechanics from Total War: Three Kingdoms It allowed for cool interactions, for example when deciding whether to ransom or execute an enemy leader you could make their friends and rivals like you more or less, some of which might've been independent leaders you could recruit later, leaders already serving you, leaders of other factions on the map or heirs to these factions. You also had to choose between choosing for court positions characters that give the best bonuses, or your military leaders who give shitty modifiers but threaten to f*ck off with a third of your army to serve your enemies if you don't satisfy their ambition (Tho if you're lucky, military commanders will be good with paperwork too) Battlefield duels were also pretty cool, but a bit ruined by the fact AI never interrupts them, even when their leader is about to die and has a cowardly trait.
Agree to this, the court mechanics in 3K is interesting and quite in-depth for TW game. What I love the most is you can build your own court with powerful characters and ‘role-play’ in internal court affairs
I personally find the battle and campaign interface of Rome 2 way superior to medieval 2, they were crisp, easy to read, beginner friendly and deep enough to still be enjoyable for veterans.
i play rome 2 multiplayer battles to simulate rome total war 1 with friends and those friends select one family member of say the julii at the start and they claim thier kids and things they take on the map , there's an auto win command that allows this very well this is the perfect total war rome total war campaign and rome 2 as the battles is perfect for me
Agree with everything besides the diplomacy of Attila.. I would rather pick the diplomacy from Three Kingdoms instead, which was better than Attila's. I would also like to see civil wars and titles/offices from Medieval 1, Attila's sieges and the Avatar Multiplayer campaign from Shogun 2. P.S= A population mechanic like in RTW/MTW2 would also be good!
I heard its mechanics are good. But, I'm not interested in campaign locations and factions tbh. I prefer a big map having West Asia, Europe and Africa preferably Americas too.
How about units recognition on a battlefield map without putting camera straight into the ground? And without alienated nameplates... How about better battles with more mechanics on battlefield? With better fog of war, more complex maps...
Sorry. in the next game you won't get any of this xD I still want the building destruction model from Medieval II, I don't know why in empire it was completely abandoned. The era in which artillery was king, there is no building destruction model completely.
my boy done shogun 2 dirty
Realm Divided made the endgame interesting in a reasonable way. Better than silly horse bois who don't have to pay their troops.
Notice: There are NO fantasy games in the perfect Total War Game!
I have never played them due to their themes. But, they may have some well made aspects too.
@@GOGPlays yes, I have not played them either because I do not take interest in the themes. Very good video btw
All of this! And make it a pike & shot/30 years war era setting.
I feel like total three kingdom should get the archers animation
Perfect Total War video. No Shogun 2.*sighs* and open comments
In summary, Empire 2
Population mechanic was very good, but still need to be worked on. The squalor penalty is just insufferable
At least soldiers were not made out of thin air. I think squalor was reasonable too. Idle masses cause problems irl too.

I have never played that game it's abour personel tastes. I can't judge others for this.
@@GOGPlaysIt shows because it has the best diplomacy of all the games and has the best overworld campaign aspect aswell.

@@Real7419 diplomacy?? Yes. But Overland campaign?? The Campaign UI make me puke...

Mercenaries of Rome 2.
Tax mechanics of Empire
And setting from Rome to Napoleon wars
Give Shogun 2 and Fall of the Samurai a try. I wouldn't mind an Empire 2 that plays like a global FotS.

Where Shogun 2
exactly
I have never played it. I like bigger maps including Europe and Western Asia. I heard it has well adjusted pike and fire arms mechanics though.
@@GOGPlaysits the best total war in my opinion try it it has very nice battle mechanics
@@GOGPlays and the best sieges I've seen in any total war title

Music, graphic and reality, full of challenges = shogun2
Bro forgot about unit's morale system of Rome 1 and Medieval 2. Becauss that's what makes flanking and cav's charge so powerful...
