I think they should've at least offered automatic AA Gold Status with the price increase.
You have a point
The lounges are still somewhat packed. I like the multipliers but I think I may downgrade.
I'm thinking about it to. But only because I'm starting to fly American alot less.
Great video ❤
Thanks 😊
It was worth it for priority boarding and free bags (and the occasional lounge). For $595? I'm going to have to drink up to make it count!
🤣🤣🤣
I got the email about the changes the other day, and I was hoping to see someone make a video about them. I like the extra miles for the rental cars and the $120/yr credit. I don't really care where I book my rental car, so that works for me. As for the hotels, I try to stick to Hilton and use my Aspire, so that's not as much for me. Combining these changes with the Bilt card, you could start to accrue more AA miles.
I was thinking about adding the Bilt card.
Congratulations on your retirement and thank you so very much for your service!
Thanks Rebecca
Great video thanks right now I use the united airlines explorer card the best buy card the city rewards plus card and the m life las vegas card from the bank of Omaha
I've never heard of the M Life card. I need to check it out.
Congratulations on your retirement 🎈🎉🎊 I guess I've been pretty lucky in that I've never been to an Admirals Club that has been too overcrowded. That being said - I'm not a fan of the changes. It's possible to use the $120 car rental but the Grubhub and Lyft are just 💩💩💩 IMO. If I end up keeping it I'll definitely be dropping some AUs unless they want to pony up some cash 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for the info + video!
I feel you. A lot of people aren't liking the changes.
Good info, fix the misspellings.
Thanks
I was hoping the hyatt bonuses with the survey would have stayed. Changes look OK. Will renew and evaluate.

@ScottLeRay As of Fri 7/21/2023 the Admirals lounge at PHX was at capacity. I hope the changes address this issue.
Very well done, the increase send is tough.
Thanks
I’ve been looking at the Platinum Elite vs Delta Gold.
Suggestions on which?
I can’t swing another 400+ card right now.
I would select whichever airline I flew most often.
Thanks for making this video! If I may offer some constructive feedback - since your frame only covers part of your torso and your face it would behoove you to either reduce the amount your arms are moving or to zoom out so that we can see the movement of your arms.
Thanks for the feedback Michael
So, authorize user 1 and 2 is still free?? Only the 3rd user will be charge $175, right?
Also, the AUs no longer have admiral access??
Not quite. For a fee of $175, you can add 3 authorized users. After that, you'll have to pay $175 for each additional authorized user.
I assume you opened this card while you were in active duty. Did they waive the annual fee? What is the application rule? I heard something like recent opening accounts have to be equal to or less than 1 in 6 months and 2 in 12 months??
Yes. They waive the annual fee for me each year.
So each authorized user still gets lounge access right? Even without the primary card holder?
Yes
Can you elaborate on this@@ScottLeRay . In the video you mentioned that authorized users wont have lounge access, but here you said that they do. If my husband travels alone can he get in the admirals club? I am the primary cardholder.
Hello
would you happen to know if your spouse can enter a partner lounge (One world such as Qatar or British Lounge) with the primary cardholder?
I believe so, but I am not sure about that one.
If I book an Alaska airlines flight via Alaska airlines can I still get in the admirals club?
I don't think so.

Thanks Matt
I really hope they up the sub with the changes, cause i definitely want to get this card before i separate 😂
It will be increasing to 100K points on the 23rd apparently.
@ScottLeRay i just checked their website, i dont like that 10k spend requirement😭
@@SENDO-X That's alot
I’m actually separating from the military in August so I can relate lol thanks for the video man! Been looking for the best way to acquire AA miles and now BILT is the only CC that allows transfer to them so I may end up getting this card we’ll see. Does AA waive the annual fee for military?
Yes
I am unclear on two things. Maybe you know. If I drop my wife as an authorized user and just renew myself, can she still have lounge access as my guest? Is the car rental insurance primary or secondary?
Yes, you can still bring her in the Admirals Club as a guest.
If the Lyft credit was normal, I would have gotten it. I prefer ride shares over car rentals. And obviously I wouldn't use a ride share if I'm getting a car rental, but the ride share is literally impossible to use.
I feel you Gimmie
It's an easy cancel. The card basically stimulates you into spending money and didn't add any new AA travel benefit or perks. For $600 there's better cards out there
Thanks for the feedback. Which airline card do you prefer over this one?
If my wife and I are traveling together and I pay with my Executive MC do we both have access to the Admiral's Club? (she is not a cardholder).
Yes, as long as it's an American Airlines operated flight
I will be staying with the card. The $600 annual fee for access to the $800 admiral's club is a better deal. I'm not too much worried about status, even though right now I currently have gold status, but it feels like it'll be harder to get status. Could you do a video breaking down the loyalty points and how to maximize that? I don't see that anybody has anything like that
I'll add it to the list. Thanks Ricardo
I just applied but only because of the 100000 AA miles welcome bonus. But it's not the best card
"The best" all depends on the person and how much they fly American. Right now, I fly pretty often...but the card is definitely on the chopping block.
Do you have to use the card for flights only ?
No
The website says it's still 450
Check it again. You must have looked before the change.
@@ScottLeRay yes! That's what happened
Checked bag credit is only available for DOMESTIC flights!
Thanks for pointing that out
Congrats on your retirement!
Thanks
